i know everyone likes to know mystical stuff related to your birthday so did you know that you have assigned tarot cards as birth cards/arcana based upon when you were born
Put yours in the tags!!
Iirc, in the system I used to work it out before… the first card on the left is your teacher/mentor card, and the second one on the right is your soul card.
Experts say the local public utility was "running on fumes" even before hurricane Irma and tropical storm Jose approached.
Hey, guys! This probably breaks my aesthetic, but I don’t care.
On top of the IMMENSE economic and human loss that Puerto Rico will face after Hurricane Irma:
Puerto Rico is about to lose power for 6 months. Yes, no electricity for six months. SIX MONTHS.
180 DAYS.

UPDATE: PLEASE REBLOG AGAIN! MORE ASSISTANCE REQUIRED
Hurricane Irma passed JUST north of Puerto Rico, damaging some buildings on the island and leaving one million people without power.
The damage was MUCH worse than originally feared on the islands of Barbuda and the territories of St. Martin and St. Bart.
Nearly 100% of the buildings in the island of Barbuda have been severely damaged or destroyed. 60% of the island’s people have no access to adequate housing.
I don’t mean to fear-monger, but:
Your help is still needed. The response to the original post? We’ll need DOUBLE that if we’re going to make a difference in these people’s lives. Their entire islands must be rebuilt.
We cannot rely on the mainstream media to carry our cause. We must fight and help people on our own. I can promise that this WILL NOT receive the same amount of attention that hurricane harvey received. PLEASE REBLOG.

my therapist says make friends with your monsters, josé olivarez
[Marquee reads: My therapist says I can’t
Make the monsters disappear
Not matter how much I pay her.
All she can do is bring them
Into the room, so I can get
To know them, so I can learn
Their names, so I can see clearly
Their toothless mouths,
Their empty hands,
Their pleading eyes.

I think finding out that Hitler was inspired by how throughly Andrew Jackson committed genocide against the Natives would shatter or at least destabilize the ethos of the Founding Fathers & America for a lot of people
also the american eugenics movement which started in the late 1800′s was a huge inspiration for Hitler, and was even where the idea of blonde hair blue eyed superiority came from, and the idea of a “gas chamber” to take care of “undesirables”. In the early part of the third reich, the american eugenics movement saw it as the logical conclusion of their ““research”” and republished lots and lots of nazi propaganda
but yeah, nazism is so un-american uwu
Hitler praised American immigration restrictions in Mein Kampf. When the nazis wrote the notorious Nuremberg Laws, the centerpiece anti-Jewish legislation of the Nazi regime, they specifically modelled them after the Jim Crow Laws, the Citizenship Law and the Blood Law of the United States.
Big chunks of the American legal system and history inspired the nazi’s in their organisation of the Holocaust.
Welp
never realized how important this was
