fuck what makes me insane is the contrast between the past and present in iwtv. in the past louis wears bright suits, his house is interesting and filled with things, he is often outside and reading. but in the present he is in an apartment that’s just. dull. it’s concrete and hard, he wears all black, he is never outside, he is never reading. his connection to nature is only the sad little tree in the apartment. we have one side where the person he is with let’s him be who his is, the other where he is actively shut down.
