not to be dramatic but we desperately need a punk movement to come in and wash away this Instagram model airbrushed picture perfect trend. it’s so damaging……teens, young adults, kids, the Grown….all of us need to just. we need to be sweaty again. we deserve it smeared eyeliner…..idk just. it’s okay if ur hair is greasy please just relax & then get mad about stuff that’s important to you.

Sometimes getting better isn’t about pushing through.
Sometimes getting better means acknowledging the limits of your body and brain and allowing yourself to take a break even though you haven’t done as much as you wanted or expected to.
Sometimes getting better means quitting something which is hurting your mental or physical health even though it’s something you wanted to succeed at.
Sometimes getting better means pushing through and doing the hard thing even though it isn’t easy - but sometimes the best and most healthy thing you can do for yourself is acknowledging that you can’t do everything and that you need to honor your limits when you’re reaching your breaking point even if said limits are annoying and inconvenient.
Pushing yourself into a breakdown in order to meet the expectations of society and the people around you will only make you sicker and more miserable.
it's 2022. donald trump has died in disgrace days after being impeached and jailed. my chemical romance's new album is coming out the same day as the new spiderverse movie. the lizzo and janelle monaé collab song is blowing up the radio. lil nas x has a verse in it. you and your partner have time and energy for dates after work after jeff bezos' assets have been seized and distributed to the public in the wake of his arrest for keeping employees in unsafe working conditions.

we are not born to die!! what are you talking about!! do you think a book begins just to finish? do you think a song opens with a beautiful chord just for it to end? you don’t read the book to finish it, you read the book to eat up the excitement and the emotions it evokes!! to learn and to digest and to fall in love and be heartbroken!! you listen to the song to dance and dance and sing your throat raw!!! to cry and smile and swell with the harmonies!! yes, we are born with the inevitable fate of death, we are mortal after all, but that is merely the finale of the play!! the final act, the closing of the curtains - we are not born to take a bow and exit stage left!! we are born to love and be joyous and yell and move and learn and cry and feelfeelfeel!!! we are not born to die, silly, we’re born to live!!!
