I am a horror enjoyer! I love anything horror related and I am a big crime/police nerd! I am also into body horror and learning about the human body in general!

Small rant abt my life right now!

So my grandmother has cancer, lung cancer to be exact, and no I'm not coming here for pity don't worry. She's been a very important person in my life, in my younger years she was the female figure in my life due to my mom not being apart of it due to drugs.

Anyways, she is started chemo-therapy today. And for anyone who has gone through this before or knows a bit about it. It is well known that chemo can do things to your hair. Make it thiner, fall out, grow back a different texture, all the works.

Now my grandma's hair is already thin, and I'm scared about the chemo causing it to fall out. She loves her hair and has always put her hair together before leaving for any occasion, unless she wasn't getting out of the car lol.

And just like her own hair, she has always loved mine. She used to brush it every morning and put it in either ponytail or a half ponytail for school. She has supported me through my cray hair journey of middle school dyes, buzzing, and crazy bleach fades.

Now these days I keep my hair short, it never reaches down past my shoulders cause I simply don't like it. I also have an undercut since my hair is so thick. Takes a lot of the weight off my head. Now, why does this matter? I'll tell you.

For as long as my grandmother has cancer, I will not be cutting my hair. At all. It will grow out as for as long as she is fighting for her body back. And when she beats lung cancer, I will chop it all off and give it to her in her honor. Either in wig form or a simple pony tail!

This may be a silly idea but I really hope it helps both of us cope through this tough time. Something to laugh about later when she's feeling better again. I love her so much, and I'm not ready to lose her. She's strong, I know she can do this. Thanks for listening! Have a wonder day or night, love you guys <3 -MK

1) Drawing: Gives my hands something to do and my mind something to think about

2) Really bad storms: I love the sound of thunder and heavy rain, and just seeing the clouds mix like greyscale paints into a primordial soup makes me feel alive y’know?

3) The ocean: Just everything about it, if my blog doesn’t make that clear enough. The creatures inside, the flora, and just the colors are ughhhhhhh(I came). I need to explore it someday.

Well lemme think. . . 1) The smell of people I love, I'm very into physical touch and just the smell of their hair or just scent is always so comforting. I really miss the way my mom smelled. It's weird but smelling something familiar always makes me feel better. It can be either a childhood food or the way my grandma's house smells. 2) The comfort of my own space, aka my room. Having just a place where I can be me. My little sheltered area where I have my bed with my one blanket, pillow, and stuffie Maggie. Somewhere to let myself unwind and destress in peace. My little home in my home if that makes sense. 3) Tea, hot or cold. I really like Earl Gray and Chai hot but green tea is nice iced. It's just comforting, it's always been my first choice of drink other than water. Sweet tea is popular for me when going out to eat. I never get soda unless I have no option, even then I rather just get water. 4) Early mornings. From 5-9 AM, is my favorite hours of the day. The world is quiet despite having most of everyone up for the day. The wind has a nice chill breeze, and the grass is always wet. I love how the air smells and being able to listen to the birds. Watching the world silently awake. It's lovely to sit outside during these hours, watching the sun rise while drinking hot tea. Just to be alone with your thoughts, body, and soul. 5) My family, they mean everything to me. I would say friends as well but I consider my friends family. I would lay down my life for my younger siblings. Carry twice my size in body weight uphill for my Dad. Give up any body part for my grandparents. And I would kill for my friends. That's just who I am, I try to care and protect the people around me. I am not gonna tag anyone cause @acaleph-of-dreams already tagged all the people I know on here hehe

Little special interest rant

!Warning it is long also spoilers for Mighty Nein!

I'm a nerd and like most nerds I'm into DnD. I more so like watching it than playing but I would love more opportunities to play! Anyways, I'm watching Critical Role right now. The second campaign, The Mighty Nein. (Skipped Vox Machina cause the second campaign interested me more-) Now something about me that not many people understand is I spoil myself on purpose. I need to see the actual media of something so I can know if I'll truly like it. I do this with all my media, games to TV shows and etc. Is it odd? Yeah, but it works for me! So of course now that I'm watching said campaign, I know a good amount of back story/I know what to expect. I also have a few episodes that I'm looking forward too! I am on episode 3 and I did watch the first episode of the animated series, not very far I know. Though as I learn more and read more fanfiction- I find myself so very strongly pulled towards a certain little goblin, Nott the Brave. Played by Sam Riegel(Who is my favorite out of them all, totally not because he voiced Donatello in the 2003 TMNT show). He plays his characters beautifully, I do appreciate his work with Scanlan! (Also love this man's voice/voice acting!) With her backstory to how she holds herself as a character to even how she treats her friends. I see myself in her but not in the way I expected. She is very self sacrificial and struggles with body dysmorphia. Often being mistreated or judged because of her being a goblin. She tries to hold her loved ones close though fails due to the fear of hurting them in the process. She has major trust issues and constantly falls back on a alcohol addiction and pick pocketing to self soothe. Showing her love with more so acts of service, a bit of gift giving, and physical touch. I also appreciate/adore her button collection.

Then when she does turn back to her original self, Veth Brenatto, I see we have a similar body type. Then seeing her follow with guilt, self loathing, and a good amount of anxiety. Also seeing how she is a mother, and she shows a heavy amount of motherly instinct to her friends. (Mainly Caleb) I just love going into the small details and nitty gritty of character I relate with. From her motherly instincts turning to self sacrifice, body image/dysmorphia, fear of hurting loved ones, trust issues along with paranoia, being mistreated or judged for your character, having the same love language, and finally to having self destructing ways to self soothe. I literally love her and cannot wait to find out more about her character/backstory. I often find similarities with my favorite characters in my media. Then the little autistic girl in me forces myself to deep drive into it! Thanks for listening! I'm done yapping now, love ya <3 -MK

So. . .

Literally just found out that my (technically) older sister and one of my best friends are dating. After like almost two years of an almost crush/we're gonna prove everyone wrong thing(respect ngl).

I find all of this out in a freaking McDonald's drive-thru and I started sobbing. Fat tears running down my face, snot bubbles, shoulder's shaking. Only because I was genuinely so happy for them.

This a-hole called him btw with another friend on call in Discord only to be met with my cries of joy.

It got to the point where I could no longer see out of my eyes and very breath I took was a sob. I had to hold my breath while my sister ordered our ice cream(at 10 PM btw) so they wouldn't hear me in the background. Thankfully my wonderful, amazing, sexy girlfriend was also there (@acaleph-of-dreams) <3 and allowed me to crawl into the back of the car to. . . attempt to comfort me. It did not work. I didn't want the employee's in the drive-thru window seeing me. I got my Oreo McFlurry without anymore tears and ate a good amount of it before getting home.

I am so happy for you two and words cannot describe how much both of you mean to me. I am so touched that you two feel comfortable enough to come to me. (Even if I wanted to say 'I knew it') I love both of you as my best friends and family. I wish you both the best. I cannot wait to watch this relationship grow.
