Hi there! I’m Nyx, current second year med student. I wanted to begin keeping a studyblr as a means to keep track of my work in what is my college’s most chaotic semester.
I’ll do my best to post about my journey at the end of each week, but this blog will strive to not feed into productivity culture. I struggle a lot with toxic productivity and that’s really not what I’m going at with this. I will avoid daily productivity challenges, and absolutely refuse to do the ‘no sleep’ type. I’m still deciding whether I’ll measure any sort of productivity in my weekly posts, but I’ve decided to keep track of:
- Whether or not I manage to go to bed at my desired time every day
- Whether or not I am able to partake in my desired religious practices every day
- Whether or not I manage to do something to keep my body active each day
And a little something that made me happy, just so I can practice gratefulness!
I’ll probably drop all my medicine thoughts here as well. Be warned that they’re all kinda silly though!
Do what you love and you’ll never work a single day of your life, but also do what you really love and are slightly unwell about and you’ll have to work every. single. day. to convince people that the thing you love is, in fact, important and worth looking into
Majd has a respiratory illness. He's the son of @youseffamily2 and he's displaced in Gaza, where everything has become extremely expensive and access to proper healthcare and medicine has become very difficult. On top of that, he now also has a skin disease that's spreading throughout his entire body. He's only one year old, and he is suffering so much. His parents urgently need donations to afford his treatment
Right now their campaign is at €38,257/€50,000. Donations are coming in very slowly, and this is very urgent, so please donate if you can! Share the campaign even if you can't donate. Every little thing helps!

And it's sickening because so much of the development of HIV medicine has been publicly funded. We fucking paid for this research dozens of times over; without that public funding there would be almost nothing new for pharmaceutical companies to ransom I mean sell in the first place.
Bashaer’s @bshaeromars-blog father Abdullah has been diagnosed with liver cancer! His condition is advanced, and he urgently needs an operation to keep it from getting worse! He is already very very sick!
The operation costs $4,000 USD. Please share his household’s GFM and donate if you can!! He does not have much time left, and surgery is his only hope for survival!!

Please read this as if i were a member of your family. Maybe your sister, your daughter or your friend. As if my family who is going through difficult circumstances is your family.
Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in G@za P@lestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to fear, instability, and starvation, thirst, and poverty in northern G@za.
After 448 days of suffering, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart, in desperate need of your help. I cannot describe how harsh the situation we are living in is. My family is suffering from the biting cold of winter, and we are facing a severe shortage of food and clothing. Every day feels like a lifetime, and every moment makes me feel helpless and hopeless. 💔
After the prices went up so crazy, I created this campaign to help my family provide food, water and essential needs. I know for sure that you can't help all families that want your help but at least you can help those who come across your life.
Every simple thing makes a difference in changing the situation we are in. So please don't hesitate to help us 🙏💔
It's your time to help and make a difference, Will you?!
Thank you for taking a minute to read this.♥️

You know you've fucked up when you go to a doctor and the thing you have wrong with you has been named after an occupation that isn't a thing anymore. Like imagine a doctor looking at you and going "yeah you've got ox-drawn ploughman's disease. We don't even test for that anymore. Yeah the reason you've never heard of it is because the last known case was in 1927 and happened to some guy who was like 98 years old and didn't believe in modern medicine of the time. What the fuck have you been up to."
