The thing that throws me about Anglophone vtubers is that even the ones who aren't doing the classic Little Girl Voice are typically still doing a Voice, one which seems to involve an impression of a very specific American accent, and few of them are any good at faking accents. I can't even appreciate the avatar's overwrought boob physics because I keep getting distracted trying to puzzle out what the fuck that accent is supposed to be.

most VTubers are people who spent most of their time on the internet, like i used to do when i was younger and i suppose still do. That means you get exposed to a lot of different accents and dialects of the english language, but especially different american accents. so it ends up mixing together to a mix of different accents. So in reality most - not saying "all" - of those VTubers are not at all putting on an accent. thats just how they speak english

What’s always been interesting to me about “porn addiction” is that you get several different teams of weird conservatives teaming up to all agree with eachother that it’s a Very Serious Issue.

You get the fascist, who think porn is dooming Western Civilisation because Aryan men are addicted to diluting their essence (the incels copied their work). You get religious conservatives, who think anyone watching porn is sinning (and who also think it’s cheating to watch porn if you’re married). You get sex negative people of all stripes and denominations, who think any expression of human sexuality other than cishet missionary position is socially destructive. You get pseudo-feminists of the TERF and radfem varieties, who think male sexuality is fundamentally pathological.
