strange days (kathryn bigelow, 1995) is shockingly prophetic and thus remains extraordinarily timely watching not only is it a spectacular project from bigelow (who i would argue is really peerless when it comes to shooting action sequences) who pulls no punches when it comes of her interrogation of surveillance the police state voyeurism etc. etc. she also had the good sense to cast two of the hottest actors ever as her leads and have them making out amidst cyberpunk filth and chaos over a true soundtrack of all time this really was a film meant to appeal directly to me but regardless thank you ms. bigelow for my life
