About a week ago I posted this.

I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.

About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like

I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like

This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”

But I guess the lesson goes like this:

This needs to be reblogged. I couldn’t scroll past this if I tried, I got a message like that but not for me, it told me to my friend to kill them self, I was livid! I didn’t answer it because a message like that doesn’t deserve an answer but I don’t see what is so funny about telling someone to kill them selves! I really don’t! It’s sick and it’s wrong. This person though, I take my hat off to you. You taught that bully a lesson.

Hey everyone i just want to say a few things about what has been going on lately,As a young white irish woman i can't really lie and say that i know what it feels like to be scorned just for the colour of my skin but i can honestly say that i have the greatest respect for People Of Colour who despite the fact that they face racism thoughout their daily lives that they still have the strength to face everyday with their heads held high through the face of adversity. And i truly hope that the poor people who lost their lives to bigots and racists recieve the justice they deserve. My heart goes out to them and their families. All people deserve justice no matter their skin colour.

Day 19 in isolation with family . But who's counting right? Not me .

Cos that would be rude...

I've started to notice I've developed some gifts and have come to share them with you.

Gift one is a heightened sense of hearing , which, to be honest, is one of the worst in my opinon . We have two bathrooms, i live with boys, I'll leave the rest to your imigination.

Gift two is what i call , the cornigift or the cornered gift. Which is an almost animal like sense of when my family is nearing my proximity, and the shift in the air is intense as i do everything within my power to run and hide. (Unfortunately, this gift comes with side effects as they eventually find me and i am forced to interact. You would think that nearly three weeks of staring at eachothers faces would be enough, but no.)

The third gift is like the second, but different, as i have developed an almost sixth more intense awareness of drama, and have found myself almost always in the midst of it. (The reasons for this are unknown, as i have been trying rather hard and adamantly to keep my distance, especially now when its preached. My family have not gotten the hint.)

I have already reached the point of stircrazy and have since surpassed this plight. Although, ill admit, its an ongoing process.

I have also developed an intense "if looks could kill" face anytime someone sneezes and would like to report that that particular habit is taken into another room, and that hand washing is now a religious experiance.

I will continue to update my progress.

Any advice would be welcomed .

Mental Health Awareness

Hey everyone i just wanted to address something about mental health. While i know its different for everybody , no one person is the same after all. I just want you to know you are not alone in this. I suffer anixety and depression and it makes it hard for me to greet the day, for a long time i thought it was just my fault that things in my life went sour but with the help of friends and family i have been getting better😊 It took some time to realise that everyone one deals with their emotions differently and no one has the right to say that their trauma is worse then someone else's. I still have bad days but then good one's have taken place just as well. I set myself goals and that helps my anxiety if i have something to focus on. With the covid virius going on it can make those with mental problems panic even more but every little thing helps. Thank you for reading this.

Not to mention this is an act of solidarity. He’s saying “even if the entire world is against you, I’m on your side.” Which I think is important for a kid to know. He’s refusing to be a bully to his child, even if he doesn’t understand.

I work at Hot Topic and we had a white suburban dad in who was buying matching heavy metal/screamo band shirts for him and his teenage daughter and said “To be honest, I think this stuff sounds like garbage, but she likes it so we listen to it together and we’re going to the concert for Christmas.” And it was just really heartwarming to see him so involved in his child’s life and validating her interests.

I went though a goth faze in my teens (like most) and I wanted more than anything to paint my room black. My mom was supportive of my personal expression in terms of my clothes and hair and accessories but she was genuinely concerned about the toll a black room would take on my mental health (I was already prone to recurring depression at that point and still am). I begged for months to repaint my room, but she wouldn’t budge.

One weekend i spent with my dad and when I came back she had repainted my room. A beautiful deep blue on three walls (my favourite colour), lovely sky blue on the ceiling,and one wall was black. The black wall had been sanded smooth and painted with several coats of chalkboard paint. She gave me a couple boxes of chalk and told me to have at it. I LOVED that black wall and wrote on it every day. I drew on it, I doodled, I wrote out my favourite emo song lyrics, wrote reminders for myself, anything I wanted. It was my favourite part of my room and was something that it would have never occurred to me to ask for. It was something only my very creative and clever mom could have come up with and I’m still grateful to her for it.

In retrospect, a room of black walls would indeed have been encouraging a reacurrence of my depression and my moms answer was the perfect compromise. That black wall ended up being the most colourful part of my room.
