One thing that's so underrated about PHM is Eva Stratt's appearance. She doesn't have the lipstick, sleek bun, pencil skirt (or even pantsuit), and heels look that is so often the uniform of female characters in similar roles. She doesn't wear makeup (as much as any other actor). She wears her hair down or in the simplest ten-second buns. She wears softs, easy to move in clothes that are weather appropriate. Why would she spend extra time making her physical body less efficient?

Why Lockwood & Co. deserved more seasons:

It should have adapted the five books ! Also we didn't getting Holly Munro, the hyperefficient Black girl hired by the agency in the later books. She's feminine and lovely and clashes a bit with Lucy at first but plays well with the team and helps them out quite a lot Oh and we absolutely deserve the Locklyle slowburn to continue. Not to mention I loved the show! version of George

They adapted 2 of the 5 books and set everything up in the first series and then it was canceled!

It adapts a series of five books and they only ever did two!! AND IT ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER!!!

It was seriously as close to perfect as I can just imagine a tv show to be.

Why Dead Boy Detectives deserved more seasons:

There was so much they could have still do ! The unresolved EdwinxCharles is killing me and I'd love to see Crystal's character more developed

they can't just have Niko die and that's it

A show with queer rep cancelled before its time. The absolute love and trust these two have for each other is brilliant to watch, and they would do anything for each other, even follow them to hell

Sometimes I go about my day and out of nowhere I'll get reminded and then become so pissed off cause Dead Boy Detectives had a potential of becoming a long-running show (similar to supernatural imo) and with a guarantee of Edwin and Charles getting together on screen but no - Netflix had to cancel it 😤😭

the fact that i watched dbd as soon as it released (i had been waiting for it since the teaser came out and trailer too) and it was truly one of the best shows i’ve watched, then netflix decided to do the things it does best - fuck up

it was cancelled after only one season and i was devastated, like that’s it. no more dbd content (in terms of canon if that makes sense, i know fanfics exist and fanart as well as other fan content) and it was disappointing as hell. it’s not even that the series was a miss or bad, i feel like it would’ve gotten more recognition if it was released during halloween or in autumn but despite that they still shouldn’t have cancelled a show with such good potential.

it had great characters and chemistry, poc rep as well as queer rep too, and the story itself has so much to it

dbd is one of a kind and i love it so much

i was completely obsessed with it when it came out but as time when i slowly drifted from it (even though i still loved it) and now it’s back again 💗

i highly recommend this show to people who haven’t watched it or is still in their watchlists, it’s a must watch in my books 😌

A teen from the 1980s with a complicated relationship with a toxic father and a compelling relationship with his best friend, an amnesiac psychic, and fantastic atmophere/creature design)?

Come to the dark side, aka Dead Boy Detectives. We have ghost detectives, amnesiac psychics, dandelion-sprite-possessed girls, lesbian emotions butchers, a cat king, a witch and her crow familiar, plenty of genuinely horrifying monsters, and LOTS of canonical queerness that isn't treated like an afterthought.

Hi, this is for queers who are disappointed by Stranger Things.

Please give Dead Boy Detectives a shot. It has mysteries. It is simultaneously very dark and hilarious at the same time. And most importantly, it’s unapologetically queer.

Now, it was prematurely canceled by Netflix. We are still fighting for it to be saved, and a boost in viewership would be amazing fuel to that fire. But regardless of whether we can save it or not, it will not leave you in a position of discontentment. It has a great season wrap up that leaves it perfectly open for more without creating a massive cliffhanger.

Anyway, if you’re into dark, funny, supernatural mysteries and want some real queer representation in your life, please go watch Dead Boy Detectives!!
