At long, long last, Yarrow the drabbicorn is accomplished!

I cannot gauge just how long it took to make him because I took a few decently long hiatuses while working on him. Turns out designing almost an entire pattern all on your own and having to fix a lot of egregious mistakes along the way tires you out in a project this large.

Yarrow is the most complicated plushie I have ever made, and as you can see, he can stand on his own! I do believe the laundry pod I made was larger, but nothing quite beats just how intricate this guy was. He's made primarily of fleece, but the dark pink is some kind of faux fur material. The result is a soft, huggable lad who is only somewhat fragile around the legs and arms!

He's certainly not throwable but he's perfect for sitting on your best and being given a nice hug before bed.

He is intended to be a gift for the guy who designed him, my precious bf (link to his fursuit business twitter)!

Do you find yourself increasingly frustrated with the state of the world by have no outlet for your nihilistic tendencies without breaking something in your home? Inspired by a co-worker who was frustrated with how things are going generally and didn’t want to throw my Emotional Support Chicken ™ against a wall for fear of hurting it or its feelings, the idea for the Non-Cooperation Brick was born. This is a project for anyone who wants to throw something at the wall every time an article comes out about how more of our rights are being stripped away but also doesn’t want to break their fish tank/flower vase/television/porcelain cat figurine in the process. Make yourself a Non-Cooperation Brick to work through some anxiety and frustration while crafting. Make someone else a Non-Cooperation Brick to help them process their own emotions. Make many Non-Cooperation Bricks until the world is covered in nothing but Non-Cooperation Bricks.

Being a crafty person and making a bunch of things often prompts people to ask "oh wow did you make that?" And like, the short answer is: yes I did, but the long answer is: well, no, the pattern isn't mine, but I did choose and buy the fabric/yarn and sewed it together/crocheted it/knitted it myself. I used a reference for that drawing/painting, I didn't come up with it myself. That ceramic piece was insired by a poem and a painting made by different people. What I'm trying to say is, everything I make requires other people to make their own thing first, and then I get inspired by them to do my own thing. So I can't really call anything truly mine, because really it's just a bunch of inspirations and experiences of others (and me) put together by my hands. Does that answer your question

This yarn came from sheep raised in New Zealand and was spun by a woman in Peru. The pattern was created by someone in Germany. My needles were made by a craftsman in China and my stitchmarkers came from the lady at the local fiber festival.

I may have knit this sweater but it contains the souls of people from around the world.

Elnina amigurumi! She was difficult to make but I'm really happy with how she turned out! Her hair is made of wool roving and needle felted into place.

"IIIIT'S TV!! TIIIME!!"

So i'm in love with Tenna, and i've been so inspired by the other Tenna plushies i've seen (more than two at this point) so it makes sense that when I finally finished a plushie after a long drought it would be of this silly lad.

He is made of fleece and a few other materials like a fluffy black fabric and cotton, but I forgot how nice it is to work with fleece rather than minky. He's also quite large compared to some of my other plushies. I wanted him to be able to sit on his own, but with his massive head, that's not entirely possible.

If I could go back I would maybe make him some more well-defined feet but i'm still really proud of this one. This makes my third Deltarune plush as well!

Yes if they make an official one I will get it and then I will make them kiss

Jackenstein plush with glowing eyes & removable head

When deltarune chapters 3 and 4 came out I was prepared and hyped to make some plushies of the many new faces to be introduced in the chapters. Initially I was gonna make a roaring knight plush but it was too hard to discern what was going on in its sprites so I shelved it. Then I discovered jackenstein and I immediately fell in love with his design and character.

Truly I hate to do this to you all but; you can watch all the videos and read all the blogs in the world but you cannot learn to sew without at some point picking up a piece of fabric and fucking it up. No tutorial exists that will stop you at some point ruining this poor piece of cloth. The visceral act of holding a project and wondering where you went wrong is the only way to learn sewing; you cannot escape it. I’m sorry

Alan Wake is finished and I don't want to talk about it. He just crawled out of a lake! There we go.

I've been working on Alan Wake now for a while but also more importantly I have access to a sewing machine now!

So I'm quitting my most recent project and Batstarion is going on indefinite hold.

The head I made just wasn't turning out right and I realized after I finished it that I wanted to practice embroidering a face, not make a whole plush. As for Batstarion, I will finish him when I find myself getting back into Baldur's Gate, which may take some time since I'm playing other games right now.

I do these plushies for me, first and foremost, so if I'm no longer having fun, I quit. If it sucks, hit the bricks, as the meme goes. I am working on another project though, one ive wanted to do for a bit which is almost done if a bit wonky. I just need to finish the clothes.

I won't post it until it's done, however. I'm self conscious.

Dog toy plushies have fundamentally different souls than that of regular plushies. Unlike regular plushies, which are content with just existing (and just go to regular heaven when they get destroyed and don’t mind being resurrected), dog toys seek Valhalla. This is why you don’t need to feel bad when your dog/cat/especially strong bird rips it to shreds, because this was the warriors death they were seeking all their life
