YouTube tries to detect and block this type of revenue raising. They don’t want to pay content creators for views on ads that people are not actually watching or interested in. To beat their algorithms and simulate “natural” viewing patterns, so that youtube will pay blm for the ads, according to commenters:

1. Don’t watch this video on repeat  2. Don’t watch it in a playlist 3. Don’t fast forward or skip 4. Don’t skip the ads 5. Censor the words “stream” and “views” in the comments: so use words like $+r€@m and v!€w$ etc instead. 6. Don’t reply with €moj!$, it will freeze the v!€w$ 7. Don’t pause, keep it playing. 8. Watch in at least 480p (so not a really small mobile phone screen then) and at least half the volume up (if you want to mute this, please use headphones or earphones or airpods) 9. After watching this, watch 3-5 any other vids (please don’t watch the same vid, youtube marks you as a spam. So watch other vids then $+r€@m this) and don’t go to watch history, just search it. 10. Don’t clear your watch and search history 11. Comment and like this vid. 12. Subscribe to the account, the more subscribers, the more of chance the money will increase. 13. Share this vid to the people you know. 

On a desktop, might be easiest to just download and use a different browser for this (such as the otherwise superfluous Micros0ft Edge) rather than turn off adblock on the useful browser you usually sensibly block ads on. 

I’m guessing the ads are only paid if the browser tab the video is in is in focus; ie no hiding it behind other browser windows. Best to put the video in the background when otherwise busy and keep coming back to choose more videos then searching for this one again and “viewing” it and the ads again. There’s good content in the video but no need to actually sit and watch ads with the Trump family etc (apparently stuff like this gets played in youtube ads; I wouldn’t know).
