Anyone with an iota of media literacy would realize the Prime Directive from Star Trek is a plot device serving as a big scary rule that's meant to be broken anyway. It's to make the story more interesting. It's a made up technicality that always loses in a given character's calculus when choosing between not breaking it or saving someone from danger. Because empathy is supposed to triumph over following orders. Applying the "importance" of adhering to it to real life trans women shows a blatant disregard for our lives.
