Not only is the Shinkansen an amazing ride but we also get a view of mount fuji while going of speeds above 100mph. There are 4 green line trains. The 4, 5, and 6. They share a large portion of the route but towards the ends of the route they split in different directions. While in manhattan they share the same tunnel but the 4 skips more local stops during that route. Amanogawa is the Milkyway River. Im on a bridge for cars 🚗 and you can see a the bridge that the train 🚂 is passing over and if you look carefully you can see stones in the river which is a walking path that is fun to walk over. Every time i pass this river i have to stop for a moment and check it out. This Keihan train goes an alternate route to Osaka city from Kyobashi to a small island(Nakanoshima) in the O River (ogawa) that passes through the heart of osaka city. This is the home of Osaka's city hall, some museums and few other cool looking buildings. Hirakatas mascot celebrating a festival at city hall. The grounds at city hall is open to many events and this one to help celebrate hirakatas 70th anniversary. Had many of the typical carnival games and food available. This event ended with a dance competition. I remember as a kid going to the supermarkets in America with my mother and and near the entrance there were all these capsule and gum ball machines that cost a quarter or two. One popular machine had these characters that were muscle men wrestlers but little did most Americans know that this was a Japanese franchise that was quiet popular. Kinnikuman means muscle man in Japanese and he even had a cartoon. Capsule machines arent as popular in America as they used to be but in Japan you can find places with hundreds of machines. They are called gacha gacha machines because thats the designated onomatopoeia they assigned to the capsule turning when spinning the hand crank. In Japan you can find fish at a bunch of train stations but its usually koi fish in a koi pond, but I love this fish tank in Namba it is fun for me to see this within the commuting madness. Namba is known as the young busy part of osaka but people often forget it has maybe 10 different train stations that connects underground. Its crazy to me how many powerlines run through japan even rural areas but on the flip side you can find nature in even the most urban areas as well. These birds caught my eye.
