So A. Id like to know who writes directly into ao3, they are insane and I strive to be like them
But also with the rise of ai, Google has started using your Google docs to train thier ais and also content check.
It's weird.
I re read Lunar Chronicles this month and while Im not insane enough to do a deep dive, there is something I noticed on my now *older and wiser* re read.
It's that the Lunar gift is bad. Not that bio electricity isn't written well (it actually is a great case of a sci fi soft magic system), but that it is evil. There is no question that there is no good in it. You cannot use it in a way that is inheritly good.
In most magic systems, or just tools in general, its always that. Just a tool that can be used for good or bad, depending on the user. But the Lunar gift is consistently framed as bad. Not once does Meyer even insinuate that its just "magic" or just a "tool."
What is it like, do you think, to be born with lies at the tip of your fingers and the power to shape reality, and never use it. No wonder it drove Winter and Dr. Erland insane.
But Meyer framed that as the only reasonable outcome. To never give into the temptation. Truly an incredible book series.
So I accidentally got really into Final Fantasy. Long story short I've always loved chocobos since they were in one of Ldshadowlady's series and yeah. Didn't know they were from final fantasy until the mtg set came out, made the mistake about looking them up on ao3 and it all went down hill from there.
It has become my new hyperfixation. I found out about Angeal and Genesis and am actually heart broken that they're dead. This is unreasonable, I found out that they existed two wiki pages before I found out they're dead.
I think Angeal and Genesis may be my new Bucky Barnes (mcu) to sephiroth's Steve rogers (mcu)

hey so. don’t do this.
this is exactly why I say witch hunt, speculations and accusations harm the writing community as much as ai does, if not more.
I am not saying “you’re an asshole if you think a fic is ai”. I have come across fics that I believe were ai-generated. but instead of asking (accusing) the authors, I make my own decisions whether I’ll continue reading for the benefit of the doubt or quietly exit the fics and look for something else to read.
because with every accusation like this, there’s always a chance of a genuine, innocent writer getting wrongly accused.
last but not least, fanfic writers do NOT owe you anything. they write for themselves and their own enjoyment. their ao3 accounts are their houses and they were kind enough to let you in their houses. for free. (you get to read things for free.) you don’t go into other people’s houses and tell them “actually I think the way you decorate your room is sus. did you actually do it yourself or did you ask a robot to do it for you?”. THEY 👏🏻 DON’T 👏🏻 OWE 👏🏻 YOU 👏🏻 ANYTHING. and I say this as someone who is not a fan of ai fics. if you don’t like what you’re seeing, quietly leave.
*the following is not about the fic in this specific post. in general, I still strongly believe people who let ai write for them should tag their works as ai accordingly. but if we want more people to be honest about it, we’ll have to stop shaming and harassing people who actually tag their ai-generated fics accordingly. harassment is never justified. not to mention, it will only make “ai writers” refrain from tagging their ai-generated works as such. and then there’s no way for anyone to know for absolute certainty if it’s ai. therefore the raise of witch hunt.
I saw a clip of the mocking-jay movie and (spoilers i suppose) when Katniss sees Prim in the Capitol and yells out her name as the biggest smile grows on her face.

And they just stare at eachother for a moment. Then you know what happens (what was always going to happen)
Do you think Katniss regretted not running to her the second she saw her sister? Perhaps not in a vain thought to save her, but to die with her, warm and loved in eachothers arms.

I have recently totally hyperfixated on your dmscartek au (I am a sucker for toxic mlm/wlw and tragedies. Side effect of being gifted shaksphere at 10)
Originally I was gonna ask if there was an ao3 link for it, but I see that you're not going to do that (not a problem at all) so I settled with digging up everything you've ever done in it :D
So now that is been like a week and I'm still kinda hooked... Probably cause my first time seeing Scartek as not a throw away and I'm a sucker for Cub and Scar shenanigans. So can I write a fic? Pretty please? I'll credit u for the au and totally gift it to your ao3 account! (I have no clue how to do that, but sh)

DUUDE!!! Yeah absolutely you can write a fic!!! Only reason I'm not aside from I never planned a plot for this au, is that I am God Awful at writing anything Longer than like 2000 words.
So 100% you can write a fic!! Hell I'll help you even! You're more than welcome- and highly encouraged- to dm me for help or idea bouncing! (Obvi I cant Make You but I would LOVE to be involved in the process yk yk. I'm not scary I promise Im just Wierd /silly)
I'm so so so touched that people like this au so much!! 😭 It really does make me wish I could provide a more solid story for it on my own for everybody- Especially after seeing how little there is IN the scartek tags. But it's just not something I'm very good at alone, so ABSOLUTELY I would love to see someone tackle making a proper story here that isnt just me aimlessly roleplaying with a single friend set In The World. (most of that is noncanon anyway, though its influenced a bit of canon- Like revived Tango and sellin me on making "good end" in the canon proper Thank u Patton <3).

In fear of the comics nerds killing me, I'll admit I don't really read comics. I read the fanworks.
I'm not kidding when I say I have never read a single Superman comic or seen any of the movies. But I've read enough superman×batman to fill a library.
I watched the cartoons as a kid and I think it set my standards too high so I just cannot enjoy the comics much. They're... Well like op said, really sexist. The racism is hit or miss, but honestly big boob makes me feel so bad. How are you fighting in this. How please explain to me why an entire Black Widow plot about her having bedroom time necessary for this.

The Reva hate back when The Kenobi series dropped still pisses me off to this day like Reva's character is so motherfucking interesting but no one gives a shit cause she's black and a woman oh boo hoo FUCK OFF LIKE GOD. They made the new villian in the Obi Wan and Anakin reconnect one last time before A New Hope show one of the younglings that witnessed order 66 bro that's fucking bad ass. And then not only that you see through her hatred of Anakin/Vader and her desire to get revenge on him that she herself almost murders a defenseless child like god I love her so much she's so cool.
Honestly if it wasn't freaking anikin, obiwan and Leia she would've been my favourite charecter
Ever since watching rebels I'd wanted to know more about the inquisitors. We get little bits of lore here and there, but theyre mostly just, storm troopers with lines and lightsabers.
Reva was so interesting. She was brilliant, hell I was cheering for her when she wasn't trying to murder Leia. The way she fell to the Darkside was so interesting. How she wanted revenge so badly she did what was done to her.
I love her so much and if they made her a show I'd watch it.
Heck make a movie about her and the inquisitors and I'd be so excited.

Role Swap AU where Padmé is the Jedi and Anakin is a,,hum, representative for the Hutts (so technically still a slave, for now, i suppose, he's probably planning some lil revolution on the side).
So instead of a beautiful and romantic scenary like Naboo where our heroes reconnet and fall in love while having picnics<333 ...You have them becoming nocturnal to avoid the heat of the day, eating bugs, and the equivalent of Padmé's increasingly mixed signals dresses is just Anakin doing ship and droids repairs shirtless.
Or perhaps through the whole thing he's just dressed like that awful slave bikini thing
