the thing about people navel-gazing about their "gifted kid burnout" is that all this does is encourage them to ignore the way that everyone is fucking burnt out by channeling it back through that instilled belief that they are special, exceptional, and different than everyone else

so lost in the sauce of being told that you're unique that you fail to see the material conditions everyone is living under
