S04E01 of The Righteous Gemstones is genuinely an excellent episode of televison and I want a whole season of it. There are shows with a similar plotline - criminal pretends to be a priest, scams people but then is touched by the comfort they can give people so they commit to the job and improving themselves while still hiding their secret. Only its in the 1800s on the frontline of a war. Give me 9 episodes now.
Has anyone done an au of Lord Commander Ser Duncan the Tall travelling back to when Rafe was alive ? I think someone should.
Just him waking up in his prepubescent body after the fire of Summerhall and being like, "Oh wow, I'm in hell" (or their equivalent?) So he's still shaking off his death and coming to terms with the fact he died, he's just looking around being so damn saddened to see how he used to live and how much he's forgotten about his life in Fleabottom, he thinks he is all Alone when suddenly a familiar figure has dropped down into their hidey hole, it's Rafe. He could never in any lifetime forget his sister, gone too soon, and never given a proper burial.
And i want him to just be fully thinking, "Well shit, this is a different kind of torture. Best get to it."
I just really want a war hardened and Legend worthy Dunk being sent to before it all began for him. Just absolutely beating the shit out of anyone who tries them because he's trained people smaller than him to be able to defend themselves to the best of their abilities, he knows the steps, he knows the streets and he knows how to fight to accommodate his young body.
Since he's got his mentality of his life before and his young body back, he's just annihilating the playing field of Fleabottom. No one so much as looks at him and Rafe funny anymore. In fact, they've all started to cross the street from them both or go in the opposite direction once they've spotted them.
Due to that, he gets fed more because they aren't fighting (Well Dunk is fighting, Rafe is like a stunned deer in headlights) Cue a very late growth spurt from getting to finally eat his fill when he was a child. He shoots up slowly but surely.
Rafe is understandably shocked to her core. Here is her shy, timid, and non confrontational brother taking out the big rats and gold cloaks (only the ones who try to kill or harm them otherwise their left alone - he does make sure there are no witnesses) like it's effortless.
He still meets Arlan and asks straight out for him to knight him, Arlan is impressed at the balls of this kid. He says Dunk has to squire for him first, and Dunk says only if Rafe comes with.
Mamma Mia au, in which Maekar lived a pretty wild life before he met Dyanna and settled down, resulting in Daeron. (I imagine Maekar as a single parent meeting and falling head over heels in love with Dyanna, and Dyanna being the dad that stepped up).
Now years later, after Dyanna has died, Daeron is curious about his real father and when he stumbles over some clues in Maekar's journal from the time before Daeron was born, Daeron gets the brilliant idea to invite his potential father(s) to his wedding to Dunk. (Yes, Egg set them up and yes, Egg has bragging rights until they turn grey and wrinkly)
So Daeron sends out invitations to one Lyonel Baratheon and one Daemon Blackfyre. There is also a third man, who Maekar only calls "his dornish spearman" and whom Daeron has no way of contacting. Which he thinks is a shame, because it seems his muna really was in love with the man and he might even have broken Maekar's heart. Okay, so maybe for the best then.
As the wedding approaches, the Targaryen clan descends upon Summerhall alongside the wide range of friends that Dunk has made over the years.
Then just a couple of days before the ceremony, Lyonel Baratheon and Daemon Blackfyre glides in to Maekar's absolute horror.
The only one who might be even more annoyed at this sudden blast from the past, is Daeron's uncle Baelor, who for some unknown reason can’t seem to stand these two men who might potentially have fathered Daeron.

After shion hurts others in self defense-which nezumi TOLD HIM TO DO-he hates it, he feels immense guilt and requests shion not change because nezumi is terrified of change. I HAVEN'T EVEN TALKED ABOUT HOW HIS ENTIRE ARC IS BASED ON REVENGE! HE WANTS REVENGE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE WRONGED HIM AND DAMMIT HE'S GONNA GET IT! Also he's a shakespeare obsessed theater kid who owns three pet mice and he makes what he refers to as "Macbeth soup" and drinks wine and then yells at other 16 year olds because they're too young to drink wine. Idk i cant articulate my love for him well. Hes everything you could possibly want in an angsty, genuinly cruel character. Cruel not in a normal Mean Teen way but in a Threatens to Kill And Beats Up His Love Interest Multiple Times kinda way could write a dissertation on him and maybe i will. He needs so mucb therapy <3"
