Further context: Durham city council (Reform UK) cut funding and support for Pride. The Durham Miner's Association and other trade unions raised enough money for Durham Pride 2026 to go ahead - a direct call back to when Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) raised money for mining communities when Margaret Thatcher seized union funding during the miner strikes of 1984-85.

At the 1985 Labour party meet, the motion to support LGBT rights as a party was passed due to a block vote from mining unions.

Stephen Guy, the chair of the Durham Miners’ Association, said that when it became apparent Durham Pride was under threat, he took it upon himself to “encourage the trade union movement to step up and do the right thing, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT+ community […] They not only raised funds for us, but came to our communities, uplifted our spirits when they were down, and showed their solidarity.”

If you want your error logs less like this:

Put Behavior.package from here by Numenor into your Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2…\Config, and from then on, your error logs will be more readable

Despite its name, it doesn't add any behavior, only labels

On this topic, you may also find the Log Watcher useful, it displays error log data in tables you can sort and also labels things for you

You ever get that "shot through the heart" sudden realization of something that should be in The Sims franchise but doesn't? Yeah, TS2, TS3, and TS4 have bowling....but none of them (to my knowledge) have a lighting system that would support dynamic black light/UV lighting. No glow in the dark bowling or mini-golf? Seriously?! Like imagine building a club for your Sims and their clothes, make up, and posters on the walls glow in the dark as the black light illuminates them. I know there is a glow effect in the material definition, but I'm talking about a Sim wearing a white shirt walks into a dark room and their shirt immediately glows that "black light" blue/purple for as long as they are under the black light and reverts back to normal under normal light.
