if anyone wants to know a cool fact about this blog, the original inspiration for its existence was someone I knew irl who was a mutual on my main who ended up being a piece of shit terf. (and a piece of shit person for several other reasons that I don't need to get into. You mean to tell me that transphobes are all dogshit morons lacking morals and critical logic? It makes too much sense looking back on it) she exposed me via reblogs to my dash to a very ugly and very stupid part of the "queer community" on this website that was incredibly hostile, insulting, presumptuous, and disrespectful to trans men, going as far as saying that if you're questioning your gender that's fine and good unless you end up being a trans man, and that "men don't experience transphobia" (??????)

I think possibly the most saddening thing is the amount of transmasc people who partook in reblogging those posts who obviously harbored a lot of unhealthy, negative internalized transphobia against themselves, and unfortunately found themselves sipping the terf juice straight from the source.

What I found personally infuriating was that she thought it was ok and still worthy of respect from the queer community because something along the lines of "everyone knows men are bad", and she was mtf, which she thought was evidence that she, herself, could not possibly be transphobic and was immune to accusations of having terf talking points because transfems are victims of terfs and transphobes, which to her was *somehow* conflated with "the victims can't possibly perpetrate the logic in a harmful way" (which is obviously incorrect and can be proven in any situation involving systemic oppressors and many types of victims).

I don't mean to blather on about it too much, I don't think about her or the situation much at all, but it did cause me to want to make an anonymous blog to tell people what they need to hear.

Anyway thank you to those of you who are reblogging my post for giving me faith that for every braindead terf or terf-in-denial on this platform, there are also lots of cool and smart people who know what's up and aren't afraid to support it. 😎

If it really were true that everyone has an innate gender identity, and that some people are inherently transgender, i. e., their bodies don't match their true internal gender, and there's no element of external influence or social contagion to people identifying as transgender; and the pain of having a body that doesn't match your "true self" was so great that suicide was inevitable without the intervention of puberty suppressing drugs, exogenous hormones, and surgery, we should see a clear pattern around the world and throughout history of a steady number of people killing themselves at the onset of puberty. Surely this phenomenon would have been observed and recorded in the historical record, if not necessarily in the terms we would use today. But it isn't.
