Explanation/Context: Elphaba is in a suit because in the fic this art is from, she’s raised by the Wizard, and it’s the Wizard’s own self-importance changes how Elphaba dresses when she’s young so she looks more like him/how he wants. The Wizard doesn’t know anything about raising girls, and the dresses he chose for Elphaba in her youth didn’t suit her, so he had her in men’s clothing instead cause he’s not actually all that paternal. As the story goes on Elphaba will start to pull away from his ideals and start to dress for herself, once again dawning clothing similar to what we see in film/my own ideas of what she might wear which will include skirts and blouses. *sighs*
