Magazine design.
For this piece I designed a cover for ‘Elle magazine’. I worked in Photoshop mainly to prepare the image itself, then used Illustrator for my typography. I wanted to go with a bright pink colour throughout as I felt like this was a nice contrast to the black and white. I then went back into Photoshop to prepare the placement of the typography around the dress and to finish the piece.
Typographic layout design.
I was asked to produce this design for my project, to promote the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize 2021. I decided to go for a very modern, clean and simplistic design. I used the colour green to slowing guide the view through the pieces. I created this in Photoshop for the images so I could manipulate it and the the typography was done in Illustrator.
Magazine design.
For this piece I designed a cover for ‘The Face’. I worked in Photoshop mainly to prepare the image itself, as I had to create the glitch effect. I then used Illustrator for my typography. I decided to rotate some of my type and make it bold with mixtures of serifs and sans serifs. I then went back into Photoshop to prepare the placement of the typography and to finish the piece.
Film poster design.
For this project I was asked to design a poster for the film ‘Journey 2: A mysterious island’. I decided to create a floating island concept and build a jungle on top of it in Photoshop. I created the jungle and added small Easter eggs around the piece to foreshadow the film. After this was creating typography which I produced in Illustrator.
Juice bottle redesign.
In this project I was asked to design a juice bottle for Marks & Spencer. I decided I wanted to create quite an upmarket and modern looking design. This was quite a long process as I created the realistic looking fruit in Illustrator using the gradient mesh tool and many others. I used Photoshop to prepare the matte bottles and background and placed the typography and fruit on the piece. I also added water drops to make the juice look more refreshing.
Magazine design.
For this piece I designed a cover for ‘Elle magazine’. I worked in Photoshop to create the glitchy/matrix-style piece, then used Illustrator for my typography. I wanted to go with a bright green colour for the piece as that fit in with my image. I then went back into Photoshop to prepare the placement of the typography and to finish the piece.
Volkswagen advertisement.
For this piece I was asked to produce a advertisement for ‘Volkswagen’. I created my own slogan and typography in Illustrator. I then used Photoshop to create the image for the advertisement. After this I created the layout in Photoshop and finished the piece.
Brand logo design.
For this design I had to create a logo for my brand. I created this mainly in Illustrator, however, went into Photoshop to create the zen symbol.
NHS advertisement.
In this project I was asked to produce an advertisement to the NHS. Decided to produce an anti smoking ad. My idea for this piece was to be a hard-hitting, straight to the point, design. I produced this piece mainly in Photoshop and used Illustrator for typography.
Book cover redesign.
For this project I was asked to redesign the book cover for ‘Lonesome Dove’ by Larry McMurtry. I went for a positive and negative theme to really modernise the book cover. I produced this mainly in Photoshop but used Illustrator for typography. I also added smaller details like, barcode, price, etc, in Photoshop and finished the piece.
NHS advertisement.
In this project I produced an advertisement design for the NHS. I decided to produce a hard hitting piece, aimed towards drinking. I produced this piece mainly in Photoshop and used Illustrator for typography.
Album cover redesign.
In this project I was asked to redesign the album cover ‘Zaba’ for the band Glass Animals. I was inspired by a couple of artists for this piece and decided to create a combo-photo. I produced this piece mainly in Photoshop due to it being heavily manipulated and used Illustrator for typography.
Volkswagen advertisement.
For this piece I was asked to produce an advertisement for ‘Volkswagen’. I created the slogan and typography in Illustrator. I then used Photoshop to create the new image for the advertisement. After this I created the layout in Photoshop and finished the piece.
MAC logo redesign.
In this project I was asked to redesign a logo for ‘MAC’. I decked t wanted to switch up their simple style and create a colour explosion with a modern piece. I produced this piece mainly in Photoshop and used Illustrator for typography.
Swiss design double page layout.
For this design I was asked to produce a double page spread design for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize 2021. I decided to create a Swiss design style for this piece, using grid methods throughout my work. I created these in Photoshop for the images so I could manipulate them and the the typography was done in Illustrator.
