Item: ethically-sourced handbag made of alligator tongues and a sick childās spine
If āeThIcAlLy SoUrCeD cHiLd BoNeS (:ā isnt a symbol of hypocrisy of modern āethicalā consumerism idk what is
So the bags are made to order. Where is a steadyĀ āethicalā supply of child spines coming from? Someone asked on WhatsApp, and after some investigation he trades Indigenous people fake designer goods for human remains, and brags about tricking them on his Instagram.

Every time I fall in love with film bro movies I am getting closer and closer to being an actual film bro and Iām so afraid. The only thing that holds me together is the knowledge that I hated the joker

Question Iāve been thinking about: are neurodivergent people (particularly autistic/adhd, but any can answer to this) more likely to be left handed, ambidextrous, or have other handedness quirks?
Personally, I am right handed, but I can only use a hockey stick the left handed way, and Iāve been told that when I write I form letters the way a left handed person would. Mother is left handed so itās possible there was some influence there.
I also have a brother with the same diagnosis as me, who is left handed.
Personal anecdotes and clinical studies, if they exist for this topic, are both welcome responses to this post.
I don't know about any studies or research into this, but as far as anecdotal evidence goes it seems to be a trend imo.
I (adhd, autistic) am right hand dominant writing-wise right now, but originally I was ambidexterous, my right hand is slightly more dominant now more due to me choosing to write with primarily my right hand as a child because my teachers didn't like me switching back and forth, and therefore it got stronger, than an innate difference.
And I can still do most tasks with my left hand nearly if not just as well as my right, the main difference is really mostly just in writing and drawing, and I can still technically write and draw with my left hand, it's just slower and takes more thought because I don't have the same muscle memory for writing and drawing with my left hand that I do my right. Sometimes my handwriting is actually more legible with my left hand than my right because I have to think about it more (altho that's a somewhat low bar, my handwriting sucks). I had my dexterity tested at some point and the time it took me to complete the task with either hand had only like less than a full seconds difference between them.
I also had confusion when I used to run competitively on which leg to start on (like what leg u put forward when ur standing on the starting line waiting for the gun) apparently a lot of right handed people start with their right leg because it's usually also dominant or something, but I always kept switching and got confused on which to start with I didn't seem to have a natural inclination towards putting one leg forward vs the other like others did.
My mom (adhd) is right handed, but 'cross dominant' meaning her dominant hand and dominant eye are on opposite sides.
There's one or two people in the neurodivergent meet up I attend who are/were also ambidexterous. One of which is also cross dominant.
And I've definitely heard stories from othe neurodivergent people online who were more ambidexterous or who are left handed.
Again, all anecdotal, I don't know if there's research on this or not, but I've definitely heard a lot of other neurodivergent ppl talking about being ambidexterous or left handed and I have some experiences with that myself.
@aevios good addition! I have just discovered that I have the same cross dominance (my dominant eye is the left one). Tho cross dominant seems to be a kind of umbrella term including anyone whose dominant hand is not the same for all tasks. Gotta remember that one, itās a much less awkward phrasing
The responses on this are wild. Starting to think I should make a poll
Adhd b like..... i have one activity on tuesday thats like an hour long but im gonna consider that a busy day so no I canāt make any other plans on that day
We call it being an introvert
Itās not, though.
Being an introvert, you might go āOkay, well this thing that takes an hour is about the limit of my Ability to People for the day. I wonāt have the energy to do this other thing later without a break.ā.
ADHD is āWell my appointmentās at 2pm, but I should probably plan to show up early just in case, and driving takes 15 minutes, so I should round that up to an hour, and I need at least 3 hours to get ready in case I get distracted, so I need to get up at 8, and I can do Nothing Else.
Bonus points if you manage to fuck over your sleep schedule the night before because youāre feeling anxious about getting to the thing on time.
(If that sounds exhausting, it really is.)
You hyper-correct because youāve been late to so much shit, because Time Blindness is a big part of ADHD.
Everywhere is at least 15 minutes of travel time away. I need another 15 minutes of buffer in case of traffic. I should aim to be ready to go by 15 minutes before I plan to leave, and Iāll probably need like 15 minutes to get ready, so I have to be done Doing Anything by 15 minutes before THAT so I am Ready to get ready.....
Everything in my life functions on 15 minute intervals. Because less is āno time at allā and more is āplenty of timeā and neither of those time frames actually mean anything to my focus or distractibility.
So you can breathe but not text me back ???
