slowburn or love at first sight - hmmm. starting off confused bc i’m not the biggest fan of either? slow burn if it’s done well, love at first sight only if their stupid about it.

fake dating or secret dating - secret dating 👀 i love the sneaking around… the angst potential… the reveal…

enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers - if i HAVE to pick im going best friends to lovers BUT i love them almost the same.

there’s only one bed or long-distance correspondence - Long distance!!!! the yearning… the phone calls.. the letters… (also it’s 100% possible to share a bed completely platonically? i know it’s for the trope.. but like.. i struggle to suspend my disbelief)

hurt/comfort or amnesia - hurt/comfort!! It’s delicious!! i get my angst AND my fluff? all in one place? how could i say no?

fantasy au or modern au - You’d think with how much i love magic systems i’d pick fantasy here. Nope. Modern Aus have my heart (for the group chats…and the collages au’s…)

high-school romance or middle-age romance - middle-aged! but especially if they knew each other in high-school/uni etc. the 'what if we had both lived our lives and we kept coming back together.' or the ‘i wish i’d met/knew you before’ of it all

time travel or isolated together - time travel 🙂‍↕️ because what if i knew what could happen to you and i tried my best to fix it and you dont even remember me. You're right in front of me but the version of you i loved is gone. what if i tried so hard to fix it and nothing worked. what it i made it worse.

neighbors or roommates - neighbors because my roommates annoyed me deeply the first year i had any. also the idea of just showing up on a sofa in a flat they dont even live in, the 'can i borrow sugar' or 'turn the fucking music down' of it all. same building, different spaces.

body swap or genderbent - now this one is mostly because i like the idea of character a waking up in character b's body and going 'what in the everloving fuck how do you live like this

angst or crack - statistically, angst wins this by a long shot. and i like angst. i like the hurt. crack will always hold a place in my heart. but angst wins this

apocalyptic or mundane - mundane, i like to see how the characters function on a day-to-day life. most of the characters i like are competent enough that an apocolypse wouldnt phase them, but a grocery run? dinner with the in-laws? hah

as much as I love the hc that theo is the best cook out of thiam, imagine liam being actually INCREDIBLE at cooking (he's done it a lot since his parents are usually home late from work) and theo being a DISASTER in the kitchen (would burn the house down trying to boil water)

Shoutout to everyone telling Liam for 2 seasons "you're okay, you're okay, you're okay" and then this tragic, complexed, slutty gay guy comes along and looks him straight in the eye and says "you're not okay, you're not okay at all and there's no reason why you should be" and Liam BELIEVES him.

Liam has spent his whole life thinking he has to change and be different to be accepted and joining Scott's pack hasn't changed that: Liam still feels like he has to appear okay because that's what everyone expects of him.

And what happens is Theo comes along and is like "it's okay, you can stay here with me, just for a little while, you can stay here at rock bottom and catch your breath and then you can start climbing again, you can rest in my absence of expectation" and Liam BELIEVES him.

And what happens next is that Liam catches his breath and then stands up and takes Theo's hand and says "let's go back up" and when Theo tries to object because he is obviously convinced that he has no right to go back up Liam is like "it's okay, you can come with me, just for a little while, you can come back up and feel the real air and then you can go back down, you can breathe in my trust" and this time it's Theo who believes him.

Liam and Theo are at their lowest point and that's what makes everything happen: at least at the beginning it's not respect, or esteem or need, it's understanding. They know each other on a deeper level and understand each other like the reflection of a mirror. And this seems unable to change anything but actually changes the whole course of the narrative because Theo UNDERSTANDS Liam and Liam TRUSTS Theo and I want to die

Thinking about the time Theo said "Your friends are dead, and they're going to stay dead no matter what you do” to Liam and now I’m wondering do you ever think that Theo was talking from personal experiences.

Obviously Theo grew up with the dread doctors and basically had to do everything they told him to or there’d be consequences but I still think he went to school and stuff as he shows no signs of being isolated and how would the dread doctors have got there victims if Theo wasn’t practically picking them out for them which raises my point. That Theo could have been friends with the dread doctors past victims or chimeras that where deemed failures that the dread doctor just disposed of and that’s where the "Your friends are dead, and they're going to stay dead no matter what you do” comes from because maybe when Theo was younger he tried to save some of the victims or chimeras but didn’t know how and then had to watch them die. So from that point on Theo stopped getting to know the other chimeras down in the tunnels and making friends unless he really had to.

Can we all agree that Liam is initially SCARED by how easy it is for Theo to read him?

Liam doesn't want to trust Theo (he explicitly tells Scott right after he brought him out from hell), he doesn't want him near his pack, and he doesn't want to get involved with him.

The plan is simple: use Theo for what he knows and then let him run away.

And then Theo completely fucks up with his plan. Theo watches him for two minutes and understands everything, and Liam is NOT READY for this, especially in 6B.

Theo literally takes the tangle that is Liam's brain and rearranges everything into neat little colored boxes because that's how he is, and for the first time Liam manages to find a thread to follow, and he hates, HATES feeling in control only if Theo leads him.

In the locker room with Gabe, he distracts him, explains that it's revenge he doesn't really want, helps him understand that it's not anger but rather fear over what happened to Mason, reminds him of his pack's goal, and tells him he's doing GOOD even if he's not perfect yet. And at the zoo, he encourages his plan AND at the same time pulls him out of his impulsiveness by giving him an easy-to-follow plan. And when the plan fails, because Liam is not perfect, he protects him in another way, reassures him that he's done GOOD again, and explains that anger-fear thing to him.

Liam has lived in chaos his whole life, convinced that everything about him was simply unpredictable and that he could only accept it, and then Theo (who he's supposed to hate) comes along and shows him that there's NOTHING unpredictable about him, that he can control himself and do it well, and above all, that he can count on him for it.

How TERRIFYING can it be to realize that the person you're supposed to hate is the only one who understands you when you can't even do it yourself?

I want DC to continue the trend of Jason just having really outlandish side quests that are just almost never brought up in canon after they run their course. The All Blades. His training before coming back to Gotham. Owning the Iceberg Lounge. Yes, Dick, Tim and every other Bat goes through this but I don't know why, but it's funnier when it's Jason.

Bruce: We need to contact Queen Hippolyta about Diana. But all of the Amazons are-

Jason, dialing a flip phone: Hey, Your Majesty. Bruce has something to ask. Yeah, sure, yes, totally, I can arrange that too. I'll hand you over and get that done.

Bruce, covering the phone: how do you have the Queen of Themyscira's phone number.

Jason: All residents of Themyscira do? I lived there for six months last year? I worked as Hippolyta's assistant? I told you this?

Bruce: But... There's no men allowed-

Jason: It was when I got hit with that gender thing from that guy in Zatanna's apartment. God, you don't fucking listen to a thing I say.
