In a large stock pot fill with water 3/4 of the way full. Add onion, ginger, chicken breast, salt, sugar, chicken bouillon and green onion. Let simmer on medium and when it comes to a rolling boil, turn heat to low and let simmer for 30 min. Pull chicken and set aside. Broth is ready to be used for: chicken broth rice, wonton soup, chicken porridge, chicken pho. .
