It actually would be so much hotter if Jeremy deals with his family first. Guys, he has two legs. Let him stand on them. Let him be firm for a change. Jean protecting Jeremy has always been endearing, but it is vital to Jeremy's character that he begins to stand up for himself on his own. Especially since a huge part of his story is the fact that he's been letting his family walk all over him because of the guilt he feels about Noah. Jeremy needs to overcome this shit solo. What would fit is Jean comforting him after, not doing everything for him and then bridal carrying him into the sunset while whispering sweet nothings into his ears. Guys. Guys please. Hear me out. Jeremy! Needs! To do this! Himself! Abuse victims overcoming their abusers is something that They must do, not something that must be done for them! Jean cannot always be there to fight Jeremy's abusers for him. Jeremy needs to learn his worth. THAT is character development. We all love Jeremy, and we all must remember that he is a character representing abuse victims whose abuse stems from their own home. We all know that aftg represents overcoming the difficulties that life has fastened you with. Jeremy being saved by Jean and nothing else makes no sense for this story.
