I recommend Element; it's very similar to Discord and has basically the same features but it's privacy-focused and both servers and DMs can both be encrypted so only the actual users of those rooms can read the messages.

This means unlike most popular chat apps, including and especially Discord, Element doesn't sell your conversations or tracking data to advertisers, because the company literally doesn't have access to that data in the first place.

I've used it for years and I think it's a natural fit for Discord users.

I just fixed this for me!

I use Ublock Origins (and recommend). Once you have it go to Settings and then Filter lists

Scroll down and expand the Built In option. Then uncheck the "quick fixes"

Apply changes and reload your youtube page!

THIS is a mega folder containing literally everything rwby-related that is available right now on roosterteeth (+v9). rwby, fairytales, world of remnant, the grimm campaign, ice queendom (sub and dub), vtubing, all the behind-the-scenes stuff. everything.

plus soundtracks for every volume + IQ, and drm-free epubs.

i will add any additional rwby content released during the wind down period as it becomes available. V1-8 have an english subtitle track embedded in the files, V9 does not because it came from CR. IQ dub has english subtitles. and for the sake of completeness i pulled all the non-english subs available on CR for V1-9 as well, those are in there as loose .ass files for the time being.

whenever possible, buy physical media. learn how to strip drm out of digital content that you own and make it a habit to do so.

i’ve got the official manga anthology in there; if anyone’s got kindle editions of the comics or anything else it’s pretty easy to strip drm and convert to generic formats using calibre. lots of tutorials online but the basic setup is:

install kindle version 1.17 for pc, turn off auto-updates, sign into your amazon account and download the books you want

install latest version of calibre

download latest stable release of noDRM, and add the plugin to calibre

import books to convert into calibre (they’ll be in your documents folder under My Kindle Content)

and then you can just convert; noDRM works automatically in the background. for comics you’ll get best results converting azw3 to zip, then rename the extension to cbz, then convert from cbz to epub. adjust settings under comic input when converting from cbz as needed, may take a bit of experimenting.
