3, 4, 19 for Warden of ur choice~
3. Prior to the prologue, who was the Warden's closest friend?
Marcela: Nessa is Marcela's closest friend! She's the elf woman whose shitty human landlord decided to sell their home for storage space, forcing them to leave for Ostagar. Nessa is part of the wedding party. She and Shianni set up a lot of the wedding preparations and help Marcela pick the least terrible wedding dress. Marcela invites Nessa to live with her father. She knows he will say yes because the two grew up playing together and were never overly fond of Nessa's parents, who believed even more strongly in gender roles than most of the parents of Marcela's peers.
4. Did the Warden have any romantic relationships before the game?
Marcela: Marcela briefly dated a guy in her alienage when she was a teenager. They split ways after he figured out that a) Marcela was fully combat trained and continued to practice archery. This is why Cyrion suggested not letting Nelaros know she was a rogue. And b) Marcela had no intention of being a housewife.
Later, she had a crush on a girl in her alienage who turned out to be straight and left the alienage for her arranged marriage. After that, Marcela didn't like to acknowledge romantic feelings.
Rosemary: The short answer is no. The long answer is that the fears that come with being a lesbian in the Circle were debilitating for Rosemary.
19. Who are the people in camp that the Warden is closest with and why?
Rosemary: Rosemary is closest to Leliana, Morrigan, and Wynne. She gravitates towards women more than men and especially mage women. Leliana charmed Rosemary by sharing her curiosity for the world and telling her stories. Rosemary used stories to cope back in the Circle, but has quickly discovered that Leliana's voice is her favorite way to experience them. She falls in love with Leliana's wanderlust and compassion. Her favorite place around the campfire to be is with her head in Leliana's lap, listening to her stories and telling the stories of the books she read back in the Circle. Morrigan and Rosemary have friction to start and to end, but the middle? In the middle they are best friends. Rosemary can't admit, even to herself, that she is jealous of Morrigan not growing up inside the Circle. She admires Morrigan's magic, her outspokenness, her quick wit. Morrigan respects her curiosity, if not her naivety. Rosemary begins to crack jokes with her and they end up becoming gossip buddies. Rosemary is very easy to make laugh, which causes her to also get on with Alistair very well, but Morrigan exploits the hell out of when she's roasting Alistair because Rosemary just can't help it. At first, Alistair hates it, but it diffuses some of the tension because when Alistair gets huffy and roasts Morrigan back, it becomes a game of "who can get Rosemary to break the hardest when she's supposed to be concentrating". Morrigan teaches her to be a shapeshifter and is so so proud of her for "overcoming her circle mindwashing" but it all starts moving too fast too quickly when Morrigan proposes the Dark Ritual, as Rosemary still very firmly believes the Archdemons are tevinter old gods who cannot be allowed to be reborn. It becomes an explosive fight they will both always regret.
Wynne and Rosemary gel very well at the start of their relationship, but as Rosemary begins to push back against Circle teachings, they start to argue more and more often. Rosemary will always have a soft spot for Wynne and Wynne for Rosemary, but Rosemary cannot bear to be what Wynne wants her to be. With Wynne's personal quest there is some healing on both sides when Wynne stops seeing her as Aneiren
chatgpt didn’t invent the emdash and they can’t fucking have it. it’s mine.
You know what I want more of? Non-sexual intimacy. In close moments between friends. The “I can’t do this alone”. The “I need help”. The wounds that need bandaged. The “I can’t change my clothes on my own”. The need for help with simple tasks for different reasons. Maybe a recent injury or disability means they don’t know how to shower yet and they need help.
I want that. Write me that. You say that they are as close as family so show me they are as close as family.
butch is an extremely diverse identity that intersects lesbianism and strives for a masculinity that is not rooted in the patriarchy. butch is a gender identity that means many things to many different people, not just cis white lesbians. that includes lesbians of color, butches on t, butches on e, butches who are trans, butches who transitioned, butches who use he/him, butches who have a weird gender, boydykes, lesboys, and especially butches of the working class. if you don't support them then you don't actually support butches.

Help get rid of these whitewashed Isabela mods
Hello all my lovely followers! I have found 9 mods on Nexus mods that blatantly whitewash Isabela from Dragon Age 2. It's crazy to me that these mods have been up for 15 years and still haven't been taken down. But I believe if we work together we can finally get them removed.
If you can click the links below, they’ll take you to the mod pages. Click the "Report Abuse" button as seen below.
Then select the option "I believe this mod is breaking the rules". Then select "Inappropriate content". When asked why the content is inappropriate, select “Other Terms of Service violation”.
Finally leave a brief description and photo. Here’s a message example written by @dalishious and customizing it is encouraged so as to not get spam filtered:
This mod changes a Black character to make her white, and breaks the Inappropriate Content guidelines: “Content that may be generally construed as provocative, divisive, objectionable, discriminatory, or abusive toward any real-world individual or group, may be subject to moderation.” As such, this mod should not belong on NexusMods and must be removed.
It'll only take a few minutes to report them all. And it would be nice to have less racism in this fandom and in the world in general. Please help and report this stuff and/or share it with others. Thank you!

7, 8 and 9 for both rosemary and marcela
Marcela Tabris: 7: How did they feel about being put in a leading position? Do they resent Alistair for putting that on them or are they ok with it?
Marcela would rather it be her calling the shots than a shem she just met. She likes Alistair fine but she does not trust his judgement until the end of his personal quest. With that being said she does have some resentment over certain decisions falling on her! Not towards Alistair so much though she does snip at him in the vein of "you're the senior warden you should at least be expressing an opinion here." Mostly her frustration is towards what she considers the incompetencies that cause these choices to fall to her. Her most frustrating decision is Bhelen/Harrowmont. She thinks it's bullshit these dwarves need an outsider who knows jack shit about their society to choose. Not to mention they keep. moving. the goalposts. Now she has to go find a dead woman in the deep roads? Yeah. Definitely trying to get rid of her. Unfortunately for everyone she can't resist a challenge and she sees everything through to the bitter end once she's committed. Ultimately, she picks Bhelen but she isn't happy about it. She also resents Cailan for getting himself killed. If he had just made the logical decision and waited for the Orlesian Wardens—
8. How did the Warden deal with Connor? Is he or Isolde dead? What was the Warden's rationale to resolving the issue as they did?
Marcela called on the mage tower to save Connor. This might've been a harder choice for Marcela if she had not gone to the elves first and the mages second. There's a level of "Oh those guys? Yeah they owe us. Sit tight we'll grab them." Had she not saved the tower first, she might have had a harder decision but ultimately she doesn't believe in killing a child—even someone she sees as a spoiled shem child. And her on-again/off-again faith in Andraste has caused her to mistrust blood magic. She's basically in a toxic relationship with the chantry where she wants to believe in something greater than just this, something that brought her comfort as a child, but she resents everything they stand for.
9. If the Warden was trapped in a nightmare, what would it be like?
TW Implied sexual assault mention: If the Sloth Demon was going for maximum paralysis, it would trap her in the scenario of being in the Tabris prologue but if hadn't been given a sword. She knows that she can't fight armed and armored men unarmed. In reality, she would've gotten herself killed trying to protect Shianni, biting, brawling, and scratching until there's no life left in her body. Since when you die in a dream the dream ends, the dream would probably include her being tied up, having to watch what happens to the other elf women, or in the direct aftermath surrounded by bodies like Wynne's nightmare. These are the people she loved enough to invite to her wedding. It would take a long long time for her to be convinced it wasn't real. If she's still the first person to break out, it would have to be because of some discrepancy like her friend Nessa being amongst the dead, when in reality Nessa was preoccupied unpacking as fast as possible so her parents wouldn't lose out on the Ostagar chance, or the elf woman who was killed inside the cell being amongst the dead in Vaughn's room.
Rosemary Amell:
7: How did they feel about being put in a leading position? Do they resent Alistair for putting that on them or are they ok with it?
Rosemary doesn't see this as a leadership position! After all, she consults the whole party before she makes decisions so really, they're making decisions together! Until we hit above halfway through the game and the decision fatigue sets in and that OH MY GOD I'M FREEEEE OF THE CIRCLE!!! optimism wears down. She's tired of the one being in the spotlight she's tired of having to make these decisions she's tired of almost everyone else seeming so unbothered by the consequences of those decisions. She's tired of the party judging her for said decisions. She finally snaps at Morrigan over the Branka decision but lucky for her Morrigan ends up just being proud of her for "having a backbone for once". By the end of the game she's so tired and done she believes the ultimate sacrifice is the best decision—no, she's not passively suicidal whaaaaat why would you say that? A combination of Alistair's cajoling and not wanting to hurt her beloved Leliana snaps her out of it but too late to bring Morrigan back to the party. She blames herself for losing Morrigan's friendship and for Alistair's death.
8. How did the Warden deal with Connor? Is he or Isolde dead? What was the Warden's rationale to resolving the issue as they did?
The circle is the only home she's known. She's slightly apprehensive that they will prescribe what they always have, death to abominations, but it's a child. This wasn't a harrowing. Surely, surely, they'll understand, right? Lucky for her she was right.
9. If the Warden was trapped in a nightmare, what would it be like?
She would be back in the Circle, embroiled in pointless busy work. She hasn't completely shaken off all the circle's rhetoric. She refuses blood magic and the dark ritual and is a devout Andrastian. It's only after Anders' rebellion that her mindset shifts from "we need to improve the circle from the inside" to "Okay, it's all holds barred." Rosemary is very good at only being as large as the box she's kept in. She defaults to the lowest standard of living when the standard is low to start. She doesn't wish for freedom, she wishes for her favorite meal to be served at the cafeteria tonight, etc etc. She doesn't torture herself with impossible things. If she were asked what she wanted for her birthday (not that she knows which day that is) she would bluescreen. It's only out of the Circle that she begins allowing herself to want better for herself and let herself feel all those repressed emotions. Like many people do when they're in abusive situations, being back in the toxic environment causes them to revert to the coping mechanisms they used to survive. The Sloth Demon sticking her back in the circle is like scruffing a cat. She's repressing the dread and misery, keeping her head down, and trying to survive day to day until she begins to have flashes of memory of being free and realizes. Oh. I don't live like this anymore.

I'm rapidly discovering I cannot even consider drawing if I'm in the same room as someone who will ask me what I'm drawing. Have no idea how to tackle this one
I remember when I was younger, anytime I watched a movie where the characters have to kill a scary monster/alien, I always thought the act of killing it was intended to be part of the horror. Like there’s this amazing creature that we’ve never seen before, and maybe under different circumstances we could’ve coexisted with it, but it’s trying to attack you and you have to defend yourself, but by destroying it you also destroy the ability to ever understand it and that’s sad and is supposed to make you feel conflicted.
It was not until well into my adulthood that I realized most people do not have complicated feelings about movies where people have to kill a scary alien monster, nor is that necessarily meant to be part of the narrative (unless it very obviously is). They just want the scary thing to die because it’s scary. I don’t have a real conclusion to this I just started thinking about it for some reason.
I always felt I couldn't possibly be upset about dying to an alien monster because proof of otherwordly life is exactly what it'd take for me to die happy
reblog to make prev stop having headaches
I can't believe home depot literally produced a wildly successful science fiction musical and we all just pretend it didn't happen. on one hand yes it had a boring white guy main character but like.... home depot just... Made it? And it had shit ton of box office sales? and no one even talks about this. this is like avatar (2009) all over again
OK so. After a lot of frantic googling I realized this was all a dream. home depot did not in fact produce a wildly successful science fiction musical. I was on allergy meds and took a nap and my brain simply prophesized this. slightly disappointed because I wanted to watch it.
