It’s been less than 24 hours since Dany revealed her true colors and people have already started defending her using the Misogyny argument! Really…….

Just to clarify:

Dark Dany wasn’t a last minute writing decision that was thrusted on the general audience and her stans for shock factor. A small, but sure audience has been warning everyone for years at the expense of being labeled delusional. She’s mad and we been knew!

George isn’t going to avenge “your” fav and make her a gentle queen in the books just to appease you. She is “his” creation. She is “his” character and he’ll write her the way he always intended to. She is a major character and her arc affects how the endgame comes into play. Her fate is practically written in stone and he’s known for a long time how her journey will ultimately end.

Not wanting a person to murder innocent men, women, and children doesn’t make you a misogynist.

Writing a fictional story about a woman in power who goes mad doesn’t make you a misogynist.

The same person who created Dany, created Sansa. Both women are now in a position of power. One is loved and the other is feared. Let that sink in for a moment before you start mindlessly spouting nonsense in your favs defense.

To elaborate why this is worse: Art and religion are all well and good. But information can be critical. When libraries burn, information can be lost forever. Because we photograph art. We have blueprints of the Cathedral. The Notre Dame cathedral did not burn to the ground, only the wooden structures did. The entire library and everything within is gone here. Another reason this is worse? It was DELIBERATE. It was bombed. Accidents like Notre Dame happen all the time. But bombings don’t have to happen. So yeah, if you cared about Notre Dame, logically you should care about this too,

while yes you should vaccinate your kids, you can’t vaccinate for bubonic plague. also this couple ate a raw, dead rat, which is how they got it. they then didn’t go get antibiotics, which in most modern cases of bubonic plague allows for a full recovery.

I had to write an email to my professors in my final year asking for an extension on an essay about adhd because of my adhd.

It began: “So I’m aware of the irony here…”

Just revisiting this to point put that they did give me an extension. I handed in the assessment, did pretty well on it, and the professor I most respected in the university (who ran the class) never said a word about it to me.

It turns out they didn’t care at all about the extended deadline, just that I was trying and that I gave them a heads up when I needed help.

Remember to ask for help when you need it, even if it makes you feel a little silly. Ask early if you can so that the people you’re asking have time to think about a response/plan of action, but if you find yourself stressing out 24hours out from a deadline still just ask.

This has been one of the hardest and most important things I have learnt over the last 10 years.

Ask for help. Ask early. Even if it’s scary.

You are not a burden.

You are not dumb.

You are not expected to already just “know” everything.

Needing help does not make you weak and asking for help makes you incredibly strong.

something kinda interesting happened to me recently and i thought i’d share:

so, when i was three, i sustained a pretty bad injury to my left hand. i tripped and fell into a firepit because i was a gremlin of a child with no sense of safety, and my mom was five seconds too late to stop me. fortunately, the fire had died down, but i caught myself with my left hand which sunk into the coals, and boy let me tell you, that shit HURT. obviously i was rushed to the ER and it was all very harrowing, and my left hand was messed up for a while. i’m lucky as hell to not have any lasting scars.

shortly after that, i started learning to write. i hated it so much, it brought me to tears. i hated coloring, i hated drawing, i hated handwriting, i wanted no part of any of it. i became very well acquainted with the keyboard of a computer. my teachers were endlessly frustrated with me because i had the reading comprehension of a college student, perfect grades, and the most shit fucking awful handwriting in the universe

by the time i was in high school, i had taught myself how to draw by sheer force of will and the desire to make gaia online art. i had also noticed that i was left eye dominant, left leg dominant, and strongly preferred my left arm for throwing. it began to dawn on me that i probably should have learned to write with my left hand, but didn’t because my hand took about a year to fully recover after the Great Fire Pit Incident Of 00’. however, nothing in the world sounded less appealing to me than relearning how to write all over again. so i just like. ignored it, lmao

anyway, two nights ago i was bored and thought, “eh, what the hell, let’s give left handed writing ago.” and y’all?????? y’all??????? i’m in heaven, i have ascended. i finally know what peace is like. obviously i lack some amount of fine motor skill in my left hand, but it feels so much BETTER. my hand doesn’t shake when i try to write, it just like, does it??? without me death gripping my pencil?????????? i’m so utterly bamboozled, my handwriting is already neater and i only switched hands a day ago, once i relearn how to draw with my left hand i can only assume i’ll experience a level of joy that surpasses what we were designed to feel on this mortal plane of existence
