This is not an AI image. Spotted hyena cubs begin to get a lighter coat and gain their spots as young as 3 months old.

This video has a spotty cub that's very similar to the one in the photo and it is nursing. Spotted hyenas especially are quite developed when they're born - spotty babies already have their teeth! - so the coat going light early on isn't abnormal. And then there are variations among individuals -
