Something something old age and treachery
#These are my favorite of this type tbh#The people that go 'civilian death is bad' and then immediately call for Israel to be destroyed#It really shows how they do not view us as human. And how they have no actual morals#The next group that it's acceptable to dehumanize will be treated the exact same way#We kept warning people. It always starts with jew hatred but it never ends there#But they don't care because they just want death and destruction
Plus uh....if the war had continued, those kind of civilians would have been forced by their government to die anyway. So while the 2 nukes were definitely fucked, it ultimately saved japan in the long run since it made their militaristic bastards step down from power.

I don't know which of you needs to hear this but "narc" is not short for "narcissist" when someone calls you a "narc" for snitching they are calling you a "narcotics officer"
technically narc isnt even short for narcotics officer its just cant for Cop, I believe Roma in origin
I read years ago in a book that it was derived from nakk, Romani for nose, as in someone who always has their nose in other people's business
ITS DERIVED FROM "NARCO" AS IN "NARCOTICS" WHAT FUCKING BOOK
Okay you know what pulling back on my derision because i can see how this mistake would be made but narc and nark are etymologically unrelated
Etymology is always doing some shit like this
Convergent evolution.
Linguistic crab
Two entire linguistic traditions have merged to remind you not to be a fuckin narc
I am once again asking when women will finally beat Hasan the Chode with bats
So, it started with nepo baby dog abuser getting big mad that someone who was actually born in Cuba decided to speak out about how oppressive its government is, because nothing triggers tankies more than people who are actually from the oppressive regimes they defend telling the truth about their lives and blowing a hole through tankie fan fiction
Then John Aziz, a British-Palestinian peace advocate, said this:
And what did that freak say in response?
Yep, this man who claims to care sooooooooooooooooooooo much about Palestinians just accused an actual Palestinian of wishing to starve his family members because he...*checks notes*...called Hasan a moron. Totally normal response and not complete bottom-feeder 4chan troll behavior at all!!!!! (Also "amerisraeli genocide" good god his brain is oatmeal)
But that got 20,000 likes. 20,000 people cheered for this skid mark accusing a Palestinian man of supporting genocide and wishing his own family starved to death because he's so thin-skinned that he can't handle someone calling him a moron, while the Palestinian man's rebuttal that he wants peace didn't even get 30 likes at the time the screenshot was taken. And we're supposed to believe this chode and his rabid fan base actually give a flying fuck about Palestinians? I'm not simply tired of seeing his face online, but sick of people acting like anyone who takes him seriously isn't also a gross moron at this point. Just a bunch of self-righteous scumbags

Leftism is a death cult. This is undeniable.
'suggested parents may not be consulted and wouldn't need to consent to their child's death via MAiD'
I'm seeing the term "mature minor" showing up a whole lot here looking around for this and I'm wondering if they're going to apply that to other circumstances as well.
Will the mature minor only be able to consent to euthanasia or will they be allowed to purchase alcohol and tobacco products, what about relationships how will being a 'mature minor' play into that, will they be able to enter into legally binding contracts as mature minors?
and 1000 other questions to be asked about things that minors are restricted from doing.
Yes I know the phrase is about making medical decisions, I also know that the slippery slope is real and shit like this greases it.
Pure fucking evil
"parents love their kids too much. Don't get their permission to kill them." amazing.
the whole joking about and perpetuating the idea of alabama consisting of nothing but rednecks who're so stupid they don't know whether to shit or wind their watch being a deeply classist thing notwithstanding, i would like to remind and/or inform the general public, particularly those who wanna throw the entire state and its people away, that the whole "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" thing wouldn't have happened without those rednecks.
because they're the ones who built saturn v. you know, the rocket that got astronauts to the moon for the first time. alabamains also built explorer I. you know, nasa's very first satellite launched into earth orbit. they also built the lunar rover. and significant portions of the hubble space telescope. and the international space station. and the chandra x-ray observatory. and they're the leader in development for deep space exploration.
nasa is one of the largest employers in the state. and alabama has fourth highest number of aerospace engineers, and the second highest concentration of said engineers in the country.
if you're a fan of nasa and space stuff in general, but write off the state of alabama in its entirety, i am delighted to tell you that the rednecks you believe can't tell their ass from a hole in the ground are the same rednecks giving you the peak into the cosmos that you love so much.
Let’s not forget some colleges in the South are just as prestigious as traditional Ivy leagues. For example- UGA has a top 10 vet school and their law school only accepts 14% of candidates per year. They’re a huge agricultural school and developed Bulldawg Alfalfa which is the only Alfalfa strand that can endure the hot, humid temps of the south. (We fed our performance horses that at a time). Duke, in NC, Vanderbilt in TN, Emory/UGA in GA, and so many more.
The classist take that Southerners are stupid hicks also has a huge racist undertone as well. The South is the largest melting pot of cultures in the country, is FULL of diversity and large minority populations.
When Hurricane Helene hit or any of the other natural disasters, the Cajun Navy helped more people than any government or outside organization. They rescued everything from infants to elderly to livestock. When Helene hit and destroyed bridges and roads, these people and the locals “red necks” were the only ones who knew how to properly fix things by operating heavy machinery. Most people think farmers are stupid but majority of farmers I’ve met are highly intelligent. My own grandfather was a farmer and was in the Mensa society. They have to know how to safely operate some of the most dangerous equipment in the country, draft a successful business plan, mix and dilute and combine huge numbers of chemicals, repair tractors and other equipment, doctor animals and work without any appreciation.
There are sections of the south that are underserved, riddled with drugs and other problems. However, I’ve found this is true for every state in the country. It’s just easier to make fun of the south when most people turn their nose up at it. It’s not perfect but there are few places that are.
so enchanted by this fella, i had to draw him

If you are not on TikTok and I see you calling someone a PDF file, I cannot take you seriously
honestly if you are on TikTok, I can’t take you seriously. it’s condescending.
people have been developing ways of talking around sex and violence in “polite” and “acceptable” ways for forever; there is a near endless well of euphemisms you could use that don’t treat your audience like kindergartners. respect them enough to use them.
and especially with things like rape or genocide, respect the survivors enough to not make what they went through sound goofy and childish.
it's really funny how the entire world basically just blew the fuck up six short years ago and nobody wants to admit that that may have had some lasting consequences lmao
like so much of Everything today is premised on the idea that the earth-shattering catastrophe which happened within living memory of everyone older than a third grader has had no meaningful material or psychological effects on the general public and i don't think that's good, lol.
"(some of) the top-line economic indicators (sorta) recovered (in most places) so everything is fine and we don't need to talk about it" is not a sustainable framework for interfacing with reality
"why is everyone so angry and paranoid now?" "why is politics so dysfunctional now?" "why is [x] [y] and [z] now? blah blah blah"
2020:
Maybe because everyone knew that the lockdowns were gonna have long lasting consequences, and that was one of the biggest arguments against them, but everyone in charge just said, "nuh uh", and those people are mostly still in charge and want to pretend their decisions were good
what's interesting about miracles in the bible is that they always involve a leap of faith. when jesus feeds the 5000 he tells the disciples to go and hand out bread; to the disciples at that point it probably feels silly, since they've seen the rations they actually have... but they go and start handing out bread. and the bread just doesn't run out. when jesus tells peter to throw the fishing net out again, once again, it seems foolish since peter was there all night and didn't catch a single fish. but he does it, and that's when the miracle happens. in the old testament when elijah goes to stay with the widow of zarephath and asks for bread, the widow tells him she has nothing but a handful of flour and a lick of oil, and yet elijah asks her to make bread for him first instead of for herself and her son; it's an impossible situation, but the widow ends up trusting him and lo and behold, the jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry. when god tells moses to throw his staff onto the ground, moses has no idea why or what it's supposed to do, but then it turns into a serpent. in all these stories the people had to act first before the miracles happened. they had to take a leap of faith. they had to do their part, which was to trust the lord.
"Enjoy the honeymoon phase! Make the most of it! After a few years the passion will fade, it's inevitable, especially after having kids! Love takes so much work to maintain after a while but it's worth it!"
Who the heck are you to tell me how my marriage will inevitably go? I married my best friend, the love of my life, and years into it we're still passionate, and loving him is the easiest thing I've ever done. Having a baby didn't damage our relationship, if anything it made us tighter than ever. Life is beautiful, and he is even more beautiful to me, especially when he holds our sweet baby boy.
Hot take: young couples need to shut the boomers up when they start with this crap, because that is not a given, it never had to be, and romantic love is a beautiful thing that you get to share with the best person on earth just for you. You decide how your love goes together, nobody else decides it for you.
"after a few years the passion will fade"
Spoken like a quitter. Imma be even worse in 10 years.
@shenzi-hemlock
You. You get it. I went through hell to get to this beautiful man. I thought I would be dead long before I ever saw his face. And now, looking back, I'd do it all again if I knew it would bring me back to him. He's worth it all and more, and every day he is more precious to me than the last.
I heard someone say the other day that most people's brains don't separate information into "true" and "false" but rather "us" and "them": will the people of my tribe approve of this? Then it's true. Will the people of my tribe disapprove and cast me out for expressing it? Then it's false.
As always…flip the races and there would be national outrage and cities burning.
