I can't stress enough how much I miss StumbleUpon
StumbleUpon once sent me to a supercut of Lion King, Lion King 1 1/2, and Lion King II, the main edit being that the scenes of Lion King and Lion King 1 1/2 were interspersed so that they happened in the order they actually happened.
stumbleupon not existing anymore can be directly traced to a dramatic decline in my mental health, I could do a thesis on it.
bestie stumbleupon very much still exists its just called cloudhiker now. i use it all the time.
learning that Stumbleupon didn't die but simply regenerated has cured my depression

I would like a million dollars so I can give it to this man to carve whatever he wants in wood surfaces all over my dream house and also any public buildings he feels like, please.

Privacy Possum is an anti-tracking extension that not only blocks commercial trackers, it also fucks with them by generating nonsense data.
Forget Me Not is a cookie management tool that lets you choose whether/how sites can store cookies on your computer on a site-by-site basis.
Bypass Paywalls Clean does exactly what it says: allows you to bypass paywalls on news sites and the like.
SponsorBlock uses crowd-sourced data to block sponsored segments on YouTube videos. Now you never have to hear about NordVPN or Raycon ever again!
Breakthrough Twitter Login Wall is another âwhat it says on the tinâ extension. It stops Twitter from trying to force you to log in, so you can browse anonymously in peace.
i recently found out the funniest thing about big horses recently which is that for centuries humans have sworn that the feathering on big horseâs legs has been bred in there for a reason, and the reason given is usually something to do with how it helps keep the joints warm and safe when the big horse is doing hauling work in fields.
the thing is: it doesnât appreciably do that, because the feathers wick up water and mud, which cancels out any insulation advantage they might hypothetically confer, and also it wasnât even put there on purpose.
the Leg Get More Hair gene is just linked to the Bones Get More Big gene. when you breed any lineage of horses to have bigger bonesânot just taller, but chunkierâthe leg hair just happens anyway. so every single breed of draft horse has feathered legs, and even carriage horses like friesians get feathers once they hit a certain threshold of lorge.
when you supersize your horse, mother nature throws in a free pair of booties. how cool is that?
Sacheen Littlefeather has passed away on October 2nd 2022. While people remember her for her acceptance speech on behalf of Marlon Brando, know that she also ended the media blackout of the Wounded Knee occupation, won an Emmy & co-founded the American Indian AIDS Institute of San Francisco.
Flautist Melissa Jefferson plays slaver James Madison's 200-year-old crystal flute in the Library of Congress.
whoever the fuck i saw saying âi canât stand english bitching because theyâre so complacentâ and whoever else thinks weâre not doing enough iâd like to invite you to DO SOME FUCKING RESEARCH.
a law was recently passed that deemed any kind of protesting as disruptive and able to be punished by the police, alongside giving the police more power.
we all watched the police storm the PEACEFUL VIGIL for sarah everard - a woman raped and murdered by a police officer.
PEOPLE ARE CURRENTLY BEING ARRESTED FOR OUTWARDLY EXPRESSING ANY SORT OF DISPLEASURE WITH THE MONARCHY.
A WOMAN WAS ARRESTED FOR HOLDING UP A SIGN. JUST HOLDING IT.
PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FOR BOOING.
everything in britain has been put to a standstill. hospital appointments have been cancelled. funerals have been cancelled. we canât do anything about it.
many of us will be unable to pay our energy bills this winter. we will freeze. we will starve.
it has been demonstrated to us time and time and time again that protests simply make people talk about how we were protesting and never why. and now the police has increased power to punish us for any public opinion that they donât like.
we have been under tory rule for 12 years. 12 years of the same people - hey americans, can you imagine that?
we are tired, no, we are exhausted. we are struggling. we are scared. and it has been made clear to us that our government does not care.
so fucking forgive us if weâre putting our own survival over the opinions of americans (and other non-brits but americans are the worst) online who expect us to learn everything about their politics and their country and donât put in an ounce of effort to learn about ours.
I really think youâre a shitty person if youâre pro biden at this point
I was confused how a president could block a strike, so I looked it up and this post is so wildly disingenuous.
The relationship between the freight unions and the executive branch is weird, and when the unions threaten to strike they are basically telling the president to create a board to address the issues or else. That's what happened, Biden created the board to address their grievances, and if the board fails to reach an agreement with the unions in 60 days, then the strike will begin. This is exactly what all sides expected to happen, it's a standard part of how the freight unions achieve their goals.

Say it louder for the people in the back. Donât let their propaganda dishearten you into thinking thereâs no good coming from having a dem in the white house. It might not be as much as we want (or even need) but itâs SOMETHING.
Do yourselves a favor and think critically about the news and the shit people spew especially on Twitter. And let me repeat what was said above:
This is how it's fucking done. He did NOT shut down a strike. He did exactly what was expected by the freight unions. By doing the thing they asked they will not strike. Bloody fucking hell.
Y'all know most of those accounts are run by gop bootlickers. Do yourselves a favor and get off twitter. You will feel better about yourself and the world at large almost immediatwly.
âThese six-pack rings are 100 percent biodegradable and edibleâconstructed of barley and wheat ribbons from the brewing process. This packaging can actually be safely eaten by animals that may come into contact with the refuse.â (x)Â
They use food their food waste to make them, so itâs a safer alternative that cuts down on plastic waste and food waste
I also love that "Floridaman" is one word.
ancient greek word of the day: ÎșαÎșοΞΔÏÎźÏ (kakotherÄs), unfitted to endure summer heat
this literally means âbad at summerâ pass it on
itâs me.
TIL that the reason lead levels in childrenâs blood have dropped 85% in the past thirty years is because of an unknown scientist who fought car companies to end leaded gasoline. He also removed it from paint, suggested its removal from pipes, and campaigned for the removal of lead solder from cans.

Yep. It also correlates extremely strongly with an increasing decrease of violent crime. One of the symptoms of low level constant lead exposure is increased aggression and volatility.Â
âUnknown scientistâ? That was Clair Cameron Patterson.
Gas companies are still so mad at him heâs âunknown scientistâ, know his name
Daily reminder that health and safety standards like these are what politicians mean when they talk about âderegulation.â
wow players having to stand in lines for a quest because a relevant npc can only talk to one player at a time. is the funniest image on the planet
i need to correct this: wow classic doesnât have any npcs that can only talk to one player at a time. these lines actually formed for a quest npc that players had to kill to complete the objective. knowing that i think this image is even funnier.
Literally this
