okay i’m gonna say it: fandoms are kinda dying on tumblr, and they’re starving because nobody reblogs anymore.
like… i don’t wanna be that person but be for real?? likes are cute and all but they do nothing for creators. ZERO. NADA. a reblog is literally the oxygen mask keeping this blue hellsite alive. you say you “love” a fic, an edit, a gifset? then BABES… reblog it. boost it. let it breathe.
half the time creators are out here pouring their entire soul, spine, AND three vertebrae into something just for it to get 200 likes and 3 reblogs, two of which are their own. that’s why people stop posting. that’s why fandoms feel empty. content doesn’t magically fall from the sky — it comes from people who feel seen.
and i promise you: reblogging is free. it costs you like 0.2 seconds and suddenly you’re personally responsible for keeping a whole fandom alive. congrats!! so yeah. if you like something? reblog it. scream in the tags. yell. keyboard smash. put sparkles. do whatever. just don’t let creators feel like they’re shouting into a void.
reblogs feed creators. reblogs keep fandoms thriving. reblogs literally save lives (okay maybe not literally but u get it).
support the creators you love !!!!!! or else we’re all gonna be sitting in empty tags like clowns.

Preview: The typical fairytale storyline you remember seeing on your TV when you were younger. Not much to say except… You're the princess/hero… and the villains are your friends…? It's weird, but okay… All you have to do is relive the story and get out… You can do that…! Wait… What do you mean the villain(s) fall for you?!
Pairing(s): Queen of Hearts!Riddle Rosehearts x Reader (A good amount of Heartslabyul x Reader)
Cw: Possessive Traits, Obsession, not Overblot Riddle (but imagine he's wearing the outfit), he tries locking you up in his castle, some violence, A bit of fluff, some details aren't in the actual tale but things I made up to fit the Wonderland theme, some characters speak nonsense, Riddle is Queen and you're King(Gn)
Tale I: The Queen of Hearts and His Dearest
You run through the wacky terrain of Wonderland. Water that streams up, deer made of cards, and smiling cats with no bodies. You have no clue how you got here, nor where that white rabbit is, but… all of that doesn't matter. Especially not when your blue wear has been stained with red paint.
And…
"Who has been painting my roses red?" A dominating voice mutters, but your head remains looking down into the grass. For a moment, you glance up. Your eyes peek through the red paint that has dripped all over your head, and you see the queen and all his tyranny. Not only that, but… He's… "Who has been painting my roses red!?" You bury your face in the grass once more, hoping he won't see you. "It seems someone will lose his head today." The words stir up something in the soldiers next to you.
You look to your side. You're met with what should be 2D cards next to you, but instead, a familiar face. No… faces.
"Not me, your grace! The Ace! The Ace!" A soldier dressed in spades proclaims.
"You?" The queen spits.
"No! The Deuce!" the man dressed in an ace exclaims.
"The deuce you say?"
"Not me! The Trey!" The recognizable clover soldier furrows his brows at the statement.
"Enough!" You use his anger to flee at the same time. You jump from your spot, the bucket falling off your head in the process, "Off with their—!" Unfortunately, before you can even make it to the rose garden… Two arms reach out and take hold of your own, keeping you in place. You stop flailing when the feeling of a cold metal staff pokes your back, the heart ornament taking hold of your collar and dragging you to the floor. The deuce and club look at each other before gazing at you with pity. The queen looms over you as you look up at him, his shadow overcasting the sun. Yep, there's no doubt, "and who might you be?" The familiar red face, glare in his eyes at the rule-breaking… "A person." That's quite rare here, isn't it… You glance once at the flat-faced cards that stand behind him.
This queen is definitely Riddle Rosehearts.
And… if the truth of these legends is the tale you're in, then you might die at the hands of your very own admirers.
"Yes… uhm, I'm…" You jump when the same staff pulls you up by your clothes once more, forcing you to your knees. You cautiously watch as Riddle walks in circles around you. You open your mouth, but like before, he gently taps different parts of your body, making you straighten.
"Look up," He tilts your chin up with the cold metal. "Speak nicely." He gently taps your throat. "And don't twiddle your fingers!" he breaks apart your fidgeting hands, forcing you to keep them at your side. "Turn out your toes." Okay, so he's worse here, it seems… "Curtsy." You notice the way he smiles a bit at that word, using his finger to force you to bow rather than his staff. You can feel the warmth of his fingertip on your skin. "Open your mouth a little wider." Hesitantly, you do so, Riddle's enjoyment evident. It's as if he were the way you first met him once again! "And always say…" He steps closer, your eyes made to look up at him from where you curtsy, "Yes, your majesty." For a moment, you grimace, but one glance at familiar faces who could've had their own necks chopped reminds you you're in no place to disobey.
"Yes, your majesty!" He hums in approval at your greeting, patting your head in pride. When he walks away, you're unsure whether to follow or not. It's only when you see Ace mouthing 'Go! GO!' in the corner of your eye, do you trail behind. "Now… Where did you come from? Where are you going?" Riddle throws one of the failed white roses to the side, placing a properly painted one in your hair as he walks to the un-birthday party table.
"I am… trying to find my way home—"
"Your way?" he stops, your body bumping into his back at the sudden halt. You tense when he turns to face you, a prominent vein in his forehead. "It is my way! Always my way—!" You can tell he's on the verge of a beheading shout, and so in a panic, you place your hands on his shoulders, holding tight. His eyes widen at the contact, glancing down at your touch.
"Yes… Yes! Your Majesty! Always your way… Yes…! your majesty…" You might have overdone it, but you'd rather that than anger him more. As far as you're concerned, there's no rule for that. You hope… "Forgive me…? I was just thinking—" His eyes remain focused on your fingers, before suddenly snapping back at you.
"… Curtsy while you're thinking. It saves time." You let go the moment he attempts to walk out of your hold.
"Yes…! I was only going to ask—"
"I will ask the questions." He snaps.
One glance at the card soldiers, and you recognize the pitying stares on Ace and Deuce, all as Trey sighs at the sight.
… At this rate, how will you ever get home…?
You freeze when a finger is on your chin once again. Your head turns back to Riddle as he makes you look at him. "Do you play… Croquet?" From the few times you've played at Heartslabyul… Unfortunately—
"Yes, your majesty… I do."
"Then let the games begin!" he smiles, his eyes watching you. When you hesitantly return the expression, the smile seems to finally reach his eyes.
It has been… 2 months… since you've arrived in a bizarre, twisted fairytale world. And you still… have no way home! How is it possible for a person to travel to a different world twice?!
"You broke rule 339." Cater looks at you with his head resting on his arm, elbow placed on the table's surface. You snap out of your thoughts, looking up at a familiar friend who's no longer a friend.
"… Right. After a meal, tea must be lemon tea with 2 sugar cubes…" You mutter, but you don't seem very concerned. Especially since that must be your Fourteenth rule broken in the past few weeks.
Weeks…
Why are you still here?!
"Mhm." He hums, tilting his head to the other side. "Yet our queen still hasn't beheaded you." He should be painting the roses currently, but you can see he's left the other diamond soldiers to the task. "I think he likes you." You sputter at the notion, quickly regaining your composure.
"Riddle—I mean the Queen…? No, there's no way he would."
You're Alice. Well, not literally, just her role in the story as far as you can assume. You don't have her appearance or her age, but… You can tell you're the lost wanderer trope. Even more so… You're 100% sure the queen doesn't have feelings for Alice. Considering, well—
You jump when Cater appears right next to you. Wasn't he just across the table…?
"It's not that surprising, is it?" If he had his phone in this world, you're sure he'd pull you in close like he always did and click that button before you were even ready. He twiddles with his fingers instead, as if something's missing for him, but he doesn't know what… He props his head on his hand while staring at you through his lashes. "You're something new. Not heard of in Wonderland. It's adorbs." He stares at you like you've cured the disease called mundane and normal… even though he quite literally lives in the least normal place in fiction.
"A lot of things aren't heard of here…" You fix the diamond accessory on his card soldier uniform. "No waterfall flows upstream while 2D deer of card walk up it."
"You can see those anywhere." he lets you, his eyes blinking like his own camera shutter. Remembering the visitor from another world. "Not every day I see someone so picture-worthy." his voice lacks the usual upbeat. When you quirk an eyebrow at him, he sits back up, as if he didn't let his voice drop, grabbing you harshly by the arm. Not for any particular reason.
"Cater…?"
"What if you became one of the talking frames in the castle?" His grip softens.
"And be stuck here forever?"
"It's better than your head rolling, yeah? You're just too cute to be a decoration!" Why are those your only options…?!
"… No." He deadpans for a split moment before dramatically slouching in his chair, his hand wrapped around your wrist.
"Aww. And I wanted to hang with you… You're so different to be with." In any other case, the better word would be fun, but… You ponder the usage of different. You hold your arm up, allowing Cater to hold it from the angle. "Our Queen isn't too happy about that either. He probably feels the same pain."
Why is he talking in present tense…?
"Cater—"
"Oh! It's time for you to play croquet!" He sits up, dusting off your lap as if there was something there before pulling you to your feet and walking.
"But the Queen isn't here—"
"You're playing with the Treys today!"
… There goes your escape plans… or… planning.
…
"You're a bit off!" Despite Cater telling you it's time to play, it was more accurately 15 minutes before you were meant to. And so, here you are, having Cater coach you on how to swing a flamingo.
"Then show me how to do this…!" You've played so many times at this point, but somehow you still can't play right… You're about to put the Flamingo down before a pair of gloved hands hold onto yours. Cater stands behind you, his arms lifting yours too. And with a swing, the hedgehog goes through. To be fair… it seemed to have a grand time disobeying you before listening to Cater…
"See?" You turn your head, Cater smiling behind you. His hands still hold onto your flamingo. A moment lingers before he finally lets go, sitting back as you play. "You're off again!"
"No I'm not." You deadpan, pulling back the bird beak as Cater smiles, leaning in on his hands.
"Yeah, you're not—"
"No, you are." You both jump at the stern voice. But, well… Riddle wasn't meant to be back yet…! It's too early in his schedule for him to be back. "Diamond, do leave us."
Cater stares for a moment, one for Riddle and two for you, before he bows and walks. He takes one glance back, but nothing more, for he still wants to keep his head on his shoulders.
"Your Majesty…" You curtsy out of reflex, Riddle's heels somehow clicking against the grass. You think it's Wonderland logic. When a second passes, you quickly stand straight before Riddle can fix your posture for you. "You look like you had a beheading afternoon."
"What?" With the way he glares at your words, you almost curl in on yourself before remembering that would probably get you poked again. "Are you saying I have no head?"
"No no no, not at all, Your Majesty. I am saying," … Oh crap, what were you even trying to say there…?! What would Alice say…? "I meant that your head looks quite nice on your shoulder. Such a lovely red that no head could compete even on someone's body!" What does that even mean..?
Despite your horrible wording, a familiar expression adorns his face. The one he always pulled when someone was being foolish, but not quite enough to garner his rage. It brings you a sense of comfort. Like, you're simply sitting at a library table with Riddle as Ace utters something inconceivable.
"Riddle—"
"Since when were you allowed to say the Queen's name?" … that's not good.
"Please forgive me, your majesty—"
"Apologizing for a broken rule you did not commit is a crime." Okay, you're sick of the nonsense this wonderlandian version of Riddle keeps spewing…!"
"Yes, of course it is…" You actually don't follow, but you're not risking your head for this…!
"Well then, it is time for Tea."
"But Trey—"
"I SAID IT IS TIME FOR TEA!" … Even your Riddle never had a temper this horribly easy to enrage…
Tea is spent following every tea time tradition Wonderland has to offer, which is a whole lot of nothing and everything all at once. And somehow, it has ended with you and Riddle about to drink from the same cup… If this, well, wasn't the Tyrant Queen of Wonderland, you're quite sure Riddle would consider the idea scandalous.
"D-Drink from the same bottle…?!"
"Riddle, it's not that deep."
"To you it might not be, but the exchange of saliva could be considered—"
"A kiss."
"Yes. This is quite a big deal for me. Especially my mother…"
"And why is that?"
"You should only kiss your spouse."
"People kiss outside of marriage all the time."
"Well, I will not be one."
"Do I have to marry you for you to hydrate?" He jolts at the idea. You don't think in disgust, but rather in embarrassment.
"Do not talk down to me…! I will simply buy my own drink."
"If you say so." You put the bottle to your lips, and for a moment, Riddle's eyes linger. Before you can catch him, he's already looking away.
"You are not allowed to think about others in the presence of the queen." Riddle sticks the teacup to your lips, the tea going down your throat without warning.
"Ack—! Y-Your Majesty…! You can't just make me drink when I'm not…! Blegh… Ready…" You put your hand up to slightly push the cup away.
"We are not drinking." Then what have you been doing this whole time… "We are kissing."
"… What…?"
"You have been here for—How long?" You assume he's signaling for an answer. When you open your mouth though… "For however long I think you've been." You don't think you'll ever get used to this version of Riddle… "And that is long enough to know the rules."
"Ah, yes, Your Majesty… I know the rules, but do you know the rule?" If this were your Riddle, he would deadpan and tell you you're being foolish.
"You question your Queen?" You quickly grab his hands, putting them in your lap.
"No no no! I question myself!" Pfft, no you don't. "I question if I know the rules by you knowing the rules! Because if you don't know, then I must not know either!" Wonderlandian is easy. Simply talk nonsense and hope your head doesn't roll.
Riddle takes his hands off your lap. His black claw ring slowly traces up, tapping your shoulder once, before swiftly taking hold of your chin.
"Rule 803, a kiss must be shared between the queen and betrothed through a teacup to make the arrangement official." He smiles at the rule.
"…"
You spit out the tea, and Riddle stares in disbelief.
"Did you just break a rule right in front of the Queen?" You stay silent. A single mantra repeats in your head.
Please be in love with me. Please be in love with me. Oh my gosh, please be in love with me. I don't want to die!
"Ahhh… No, of course not… Uhm, I just—" Quiets you down with a wave. Staring back at the tea. Once again… another broken rule overlooked. Your dust down your blue wear, scooting closer to Riddle. "Forgive me, Your Majesty, I didn't mean…"
"It is no matter. You are mine anyway." He says it so normally it freaks you out, and somehow it's the craziest thing he has said to you so far.
"… Huh?"
"In the end, I am the Queen. My rules are my rules, and I can have there be rules or no rules whenever I want." Well, that is sort of a guarantee, but—"And I can have whatever I wish, as it is a rule. Therefore, you are mine, and I am right."
"Ahhh. Of course, my Queen, it only makes sense." Going back is gonna be much harder… "So, I should find you a present since I am wholeheartedly yours!" Slowly, you get up from the chair and quickly curtsy before running away. You only make it 3 steps before a bush blocks your path.
The sound of a gavel hitting the table makes you jump. When did he get a gavel?? Before you even have any time to process it, a crowd of card soldiers surrounds you two, including 4 other faces you know all too well.
"I declare a new rule. My human can no longer leave this castle. Adjourned!"
… You're so done with this place.
…
You're thrown back into the premises by the foot. By the arm. By your clothes. Each soldier is different because every time you try a new exit…
Everywhere you go, you're caught! You thought some of them were supposed to be idiots with what you remember from the story… but you guess they're very dedicated to their Queen.
Ace vehemently stands in place as your hands push against his chest, using all your might to push him. If this were your Ace? You would totally be able to tackle him down. But now? This guy is a trained soldier who won't budge from his spot at all…!
"Ugh…! Move it, porcupine head!" You're about to kick him before he dodges. You take the chance to run past him, but you're spun back around, Ace's arm around your waist. "You're so annoying even here…!"
"What does that mean?!?" He clutches his chest, very clearly hurt by the comment. "Mann, sometimes I don't get you! One moment you're chill and even brushing up on me as you laugh, and now you're tryna kick me in my cards and break the most lethal rule ever!"
"Lethal? How is it lethal?" He looks at you like you just asked him a stupid question.
"His Majesty said if you're even a foot outside of the castle grounds, it's all our heads." He points his finger, circling it around in the around. You grimace at the sentence before realizing something.
"… And you didn't think to tell me that before I tried running away?!"
"I didn't know you were even gonna run in the first place!" An idiot just like your own…!
Your back falls onto the rose garden bush behind you, a hand dragged across your face as you slowly fall.
Ow, ow, ow ow, ow.
That was stupid. But what's more stupid than the thorns in your back is the fact you can't even leave the castle anymore… What if your exit is somewhere in the rest of Wonderland…? You're probably meant to follow the story's plotline, but somehow you ran into the Queen before you could even go to the Hatter's tea party…!
"… I wanna go home," you mutter under your breath. Ace watches the way you sit on the floor, especially how you only continue to put more thorns in your back. He sighs, finally leaving his post to pull you from your spot, plucking each thorn from your side.
Weirdly enough, it only hurts for a moment. Now they smell like cotton candy. Wonderland is weird…
"Why do you wanna leave so bad, huh?" He dusts off his hand when he finishes, sitting down in a way where his leg blocks you from the bush.
"Your Queen is a Tyrant."
"… Okay yeah, but it's not that bad." You deadpan at him. "… There's gotta be other things that aren't that bad here…"
"Like what?" Your eyes focus on the exit. Left wide open because the guard meant to stand there is instead rubbing your back to soothe your pain.
"Like…" He hesitates, watching your side profile with a sort of embarrassment he's never known. "… Man, never mind." You both sigh in unison. He may be a different person, but… so far he's the most familiar you'll get. Slowly, you lay down, resting your head in his lap. "… What are you—"
"Let me rest up before Mr.Queen comes and suffocates me with wedding planning…"
"Ace!" You groan at the yelling, but with the familiar voice… You know who it is that's calling.
"Bro, can you quiet down? It's not time for yelling. That happens during yelling day. You should know this by now." Ace sighs, leaning back as the Spade Soldier walks up to him from behind.
"Of course I know that…!" Deuce taps his black spear in the ground next to Ace. "You're meant to be guarding the exit. We can't let the smiling squirrels have their crying parties here again, or His Majesty is gonna go crazy."
"Why do you care so much?"
"He's our Queen?" He pauses for a moment, sighing. "Besides… You know we can't let [Name] out." Ace stops talking, as if luring Deuce to keep talking. "Not just for the Queen but… us too, you know."
"Mmm, don't know what you're talking about." Does Deuce not realize you're here?
"You know exactly what I'm talking about! The castle feels a bit lighter when they're around and I—we, like talking to them and they're pretty and funny and fun to hang out with—" you pop up. Both of them look at you.
"Hi Deuce." You wave, the Spade soldier's mouth slightly agape.
"Y-you… heard all that?" Should you save him embarrassment or do what you usually do…?
"Yup." His hand finds his mouth, covering it as he stands.
"Bro…" He whispers under his breath, but you can hear it clearly. You stand up, Ace following behind you as you walk towards Deuce. Your eyes glance at the exit once more. You could run…
"Don't worry. I think it's sweet." Deuce presses his lips together, obviously still embarrassed over how obvious he was with his feelings toward you. "I appreciate that you find my company that enjoyable."
"Well… It's you, so…" You can hear Ace snicker behind you, and you're sure Deuce does too. "You got something to say?"
"Yeah. That was funny as hell." You drown out the sounds of their bickering.
"…"
You make a quick run as they're busy with each other, both of them turning in unison to the way you run.
1 foot out.
2 feet out.
3 feet.
...4
...5
...6—
A firm arm quickly grabs your waist, hoisting you above a soldier. There should be something hard to stab you in your stomach from the uniform. This isn't the first time it's happened… however, right now, it seems Deuce took off his coat before putting you there. He's the first to do it.
You couldn't even make it 7 feet out before getting grabbed again. Unless…
"I'm really sorry, Deuce…! Love you!" You quickly shout it out before your next action.
"Wha—?!"
"What?!"
You kick off of him, your body falling on the floor before you swiftly push yourself up and run.
...7
...8
...9
… 10…!
"Wait…! [Name], please come back…!" Deuce is a fast runner. He most definitely would've caught up to you… if he wasn't standing in shock at your sudden "I love you". Ace had already taken off before him, but he's not nearly as fast, and before they know it…
"Bye-byee." A familiar smiling cat takes you away.
"… Bro. We're so dying when His Majesty finds out—" Ace jolts when a presence is felt.
"Find out what?" Silence… Riddle glances around. "… Where is my Rose?"
"Am I here? Or am I there?"
"Chenya, stop it…! You're the Cheshire, so I know you know what's going on!"
"Do I? Or don't I?" You groan, crouching down as you bury your head in your knees. "Maybe I know how it happened. But maybe I know who you are." That doesn't help… "Maybe I know how to get you home." You perk up.
"Yes…! That's what I want—!"
"But don't you think this could be your home?" You droop back down. "… Or maybe, you need to live the full story." Chenya has somehow appeared behind you, his tail grazing you as he circles.
"I already thought of that, but the tea party isn't where it's meant to be…" You finally sit down, the laughing flowers giggling at your misery.
"When a book is being read, you don't read it backwards." But then you wouldn't be living the story…? "Even without every party, a story is still a story until it's finished." The flowers stop laughing.
"The trial." When Alice is framed by the Cheshire and made to stand in court before the Queen… However, since you've apparently broken the most lethal rule, you already have a reason to stand at trial. "Chenya—"
"[Name]."A gentle voice speaks up. You know it's not their usual tone, but they're using it with you. Chenya seems to have disappeared because he knows this needs to happen. When you turn, you see him.
"Trey." He would usually smile when you call his name out, but his face looks pensive. "… We're surrounded, aren't we?" He doesn't say anything. Instead, he sits next to you. You look away, while he looks right at you. He throws his spear aside, presumably in an attempt to ease your tensions.
"Riddle is close." He mutters. You assumed so. "He's not very happy you ran away." You assumed that too. "I know the castle isn't exactly the most freeing place in the kingdom, but… It is safer there than out here."
"The Jabberwocky?"
"And more. We do have trees that turn people upside down for the rest of their lives." He laughs like it's normal. Probably is for him. For you, however, you're left pondering how wondrous this place really is…
"Trey… I just… want to go home…" He frowns, but makes it disappear when he places a hand on your shoulder.
"What's over there for you?" For the first time, someone asks without the underlying intent of making you stay.
"Well, technically it's not home home, but…" You glance at him. "I have you guys there." He tilts his head.
"Us?" His hand remains rested on you, showing a growing comfort in your spiel.
"Different versions but, yeah." He listens intently. "I know you guys well over there. You're good at baking." He pauses. "Are you good here?" You know that somehow.
"I… would say I'm average." His hand finally falls, placed only right next to yours.
"He would say that too." You mutter. "… Only thing that's different is you're a trained soldier and sometimes speak crazy…"
"Do we speak crazy? I thought it was fine." His fingers twitch, his eyes looking down at your hand.
"Yeah, I only realized it when you guys would switch the way you talk with me." Do they do that? He never noticed… "Trey?" He hums. "You don't want me to leave either, do you?" he's quiet, letting the silence speak for him.
"I think that's just normal though." His hand inches closer. "Who wouldn't want you to stay after changing the routine in the castle?" The purple light of the forest does good in showing off your eyes. "The same rules, the same schedule, the same rule breakers who have their heads taken. It only ever changes when Riddle occasionally decides a new rule is right and should be changed." You can hear it. He's changing tones. "Then the sun laughed, and you danced into the rose garden, or did the rose garden dance you in? No no, maybe the paint just spilled you into our castle. But you came. And then you laughed, and we laughed. Then you looked perfect, so we looked at perfect whenever—" He snaps out of it. His hand leaves your side. You think speaking in Wonderland has you reveal deep feelings in poetic nonsense without meaning to. "Sorry… What I was trying to say, though, was you are a well-needed retreat from our duties."
"… I get that." You linger. "But I don't belong here."
"We know." We…? "But you found your way there, didn't you?"
"I mean, I did, but I still have another home…"
"I know, I know… But it is nice to find comfort somewhere unfamiliar." You feel like there's more he wants to say. But he's holding off to improve your impression of him. It doesn't matter though, because someone else can say it for him.
"You can make a new home here."
Riddle appears from the shadows, a gaze of anger on his expression. However, it's overpowered… by the betrayal on his face.
You're on trial. At least… You hope so.
Currently, you're alone with Riddle in his room as he paces back and forth, watching from outside the window as his card soldiers can be spotted moving around everything needed.
"Riddle—"
"Silence…! Silence from you…" He waves his hand. "Do not think I will fall for your misbehavior just because you say my name…!" He frowns, watching you lying down on his bed. Apparently, you should be held in a man-eating flower-holding cell as you wait, but Riddle took you before you could be placed there. "… What did the cat tell you?"
"… Nothing."
"Lying to your queen is against the rules. Do not stack your sentences." … You might not get away with breaking rules this time… Your sentence might not be a beheading, but something much worse…
"… Chenya told me how to get home."
"You know his name?" No way he's jealous right now… "… No matter." He grimaces. "And how is that?"
"To live the rest of the story." You don't tell him what exactly "the rest of the story" is. Riddle is silent. Maybe you should guide him away from the truth… "A tea party." He perks up. "A tea party is what I need to leave…" You slowly sit up on the mattress. "My Queen… please grant me one?" He looks at you before a gavel sounds on the table in front of him.
"New rule. No more tea parties. Adjourned!" No card soldiers were present this time, but… you don't think it matters. If he says it goes, it goes. And… if he were to back out of your running away trial… you need to make sure there is an absolute chance it will happen.
"… You really banned tea parties just so I couldn't leave?" You make your way across the absurdly large bed until you're at its edge, facing Riddle.
"No. I banned tea parties because I wanted to. And my word is always right." He glances your way. "And you will realize that Wonderland is right for you as well."
"Riddle?" He hums. "… Why do you want me to stay so bad?"
"…" He's silent.
"Everyone else says they like me because I disrupt order. Isn't that the exact opposite of what you want?" You watch him walk over to you. "The first time you saw me, the story should've played out the way it was meant to." You don't back away, continuing your words. "Then an hour in and the story is thrown off course…! I mean, when does the Queen want Alice to stay…?!" He stops in front of you. "… Why do you want me?"
"I don't know."
"W-wha… What do you mean you don't know…?" You utter. "You're keeping me in a castle and, apparently, marrying me because… you don't know???"
"You have said it yourself. Wonderland does not make sense. Do I need a reason, other than it's right?" Your breath hitches. "… I realized the moment you swung your flamingo that I had this feeling you're what's right. I do not know why it suddenly happened." He sits down, taking your hand in his. "And then I was only proven right more and more whenever I talked to you." You look out the window as he speaks, watching your trial being set. "I think that is why I was never made to have another by my side." You come to a grim realization. "Wonderland was waiting for you."
This tale was never the original in the first place.
The Villains, are destined to fall in love with you, no matter what.
"Riddle… what happens if I'm found innocent?"
"You're rewarded to be by my side as King." He says it so calmly, as if it's expected.
"… Guilty?"
"Married to me."
It's then that you have a realization. This trial won't go the way it's meant to, is it? Your story doesn't end when the trial is over… it will keep going… Until it ends a different way.
A knock is heard, and four familiar faces greet you.
"The courtroom is ready."
…
"I call to the stand a witness! Ace Trappola!" You stand on the podium, watching as cards, bunnies, hares, and so on look around until they find him. Rather than a genuine judge, Riddle remains with a gavel in hand, Trey asking the questions for him.
"Is it true this human has stolen the Queen's heart and planned to run away?"
"The Queen is the Queen of Hearts? Even if they did, he has some to spare." Does that even make any sense…? "But they did sleep in my lap, so does that count as treason?" What…??? "Man, they hung out with my hedgehog too…! Guilty!" He's a witness! He can't say you're guilty!?
"We accept!" It's obvious that if the other two witnesses are who you think they are… You're definitely getting the sentence. "Next to the stand, Deuce Spade!" the process repeats. However, even you're shocked when Deuce appears by your side. "Is it true this human is bad at croquet?"
"Well—" You cover Deuce's mouth, the soldier easily letting you. His hand even holds on to your arm as if… helping you shut him up.
"Objection! How does that relate?" The hares and bunnies snarl at you for questioning their queen. You can tell ones about to shout before—
"If anyone yells at my King, it is off with your head!" They immediately sit down and cower. "It relates because I say so. Overruled!" You sigh, taking your hands off of Deuce to let him continue.
"Yes, they are horrifically horrible." Of course that's the only statement that isn't complete nonsense… "Not guilty!" Your eyes sparkle.
"We accept the guilty verdict!" You genuinely can't win in this story, can you?
"Next to the stand… Cater Diamond!" Everyone looks, but… He's nowhere. "Cater?" You look around as well, turning in your stand before feeling something in your pocket. You have no idea when they got there… but… You can assume with the sharp smile underneath you who it came from.
"I-I'm here!" Cater quickly runs to his place, wiping sweat off his forehead.
"Being late is against the rules, Cater." Riddle's domineering voice echoes in the court. "It will be off—!"
"I was chasing Chenya, Your Majesty!" The Diamond quickly shouts before his sentence is called out. "It looked as if he had the mushrooms that could grow a person a mile high!"
"That is no good, yes, Rule 42 states anyone over a mile high must exit the courtroom, indeed." He crosses his legs. "You shall keep your head." He waves him off, Cater visibly relaxing, to which you rub his back. "Trey! Continue with the trial." He nods.
"Is it true they are right?" Cater pauses at the question. Pondering for a moment, and pondering…
"In what way?" Cater glances at you for one moment, before turning back.
"I think you know." Trey and Cater exchange a glance, a silent agreement. One that Riddle doesn't need to be a part of, because he knows exactly what they mean. Whispers are heard, several Wonderland residents muttering what's, who's, and where's.
"Mmm…" He turns again. Your eyes finally meet. "For me, for you, for them, for who?" his hand holds the same wrist he held just a few weeks ago. Everyone stares at him, even Riddle leaning forward in his chair. "This cutie is perfect everywhere." You furrow your brows. "Inside and out." Everyone awaits one more sentence. "They are just right."
The sound of a gavel harshly hitting its stand over and over again sounds throughout the court. It catches everyone off guard, so much so that Cater pulls you closer and Deuce steps forward. The sound is only slightly muffled by Ace's hand covering your ears.
"Guilty! Guilty! You are Guilty!" Riddle repeats it over and over again, until suddenly stopping. "Now come home with us—" A scream cuts him off, mice and lobsters scurrying away.
"It's the Cheshire!"The name immediately causes Riddle to scowl.
"Get him… GET HIM!" Every soldier in the room immediately flies after Chenya, his purple form disappearing and reappearing with a smile. In the split second, though, you can see him mouth a word to you.
Eat
You quickly take the mushrooms out of your pockets, hurriedly eating them, and waiting for the effect. The chase of the cat suddenly stops when the Future King grows to be a mile high.
"Rule 42," You parrot, "I need to get out, don't I, Riddle?" You take one step back, every Wonderland civilian moving out of your way. You can see a familiar expression. His face is bright red as a vein clearly pops out of his forehead. He lifts his gavel, and you know in that moment, if you don't get out, he'll recall the rule and a million soldiers will be on you once again. You swing your arm back and break the court walls, making a quick escape.
"Forget Chenya… Get them… GET THEM NOW!" The cat chase is immediately forgotten in favor of taking back their runaway king. Such desperation that their Queen joins them in the chase.
…
You're already back to your normal size. But you continue to run, as the sounds of soldier and their spears clinking against each other are enough to remind you you're being chased. But you can see it.
There's… a fuzzy sight of yellow in the distance. You can smell dust and sun from it though… and you know it's your exit—
You scream when you're tackled to the side by red, white, and black fabric.
"Riddle…! Riddle—Please let me go…!" He covers your mouth, letting thousands of his card soldiers pass you by. Only four of them catch and linger behind, and they're familiar, of course. His eyes stare at you, slightly teary, before letting his hand fall.
"… What's so bad about us?" He mutters.
"… What? There's… There's nothing wrong."
"Why can't you just pretend we are the same people you know?" The other four have closed in, creating an effective guard circle around you two. "Why can't you just stay…?!" You grab hold of his shoulders, forcing him to look at you this time.
"Because you're not…! You're not them…!" For a moment, they all look hurt. It's only Ace who speaks up.
"Yeah, we're not. But you can't even try to just enjoy it here?" You frown at him, letting Riddle pull you into his arms as his head rests there. "You ever think you're miserable because you kept thinking about them?" You pause.
"I'm not miserable because I'm thinking about them."
"… Then what?" Deuce whispers, not looking at you when he asks. Your eyes stare at him, though. Well… not him but rather… The lone smile behind him. Trey catches on immediately.
"What are you looking at?" Trey asks, looking in the same direction. Riddle doesn't speak, but his grip tightens as if he knows you'll make a run for it.
"There…!" Cater throws the spear, but it misses. And the smile appears behind you.
"Aww, group hug~" Chenya's arms wrap around your waist, but before Riddle can even look up, your cold air.
When they look, they can see Chenya carrying you over to that golden light.
"No… no… no..! " His face turns red once more. "It's forbidden… IT'S FORBIDDEN TO LEAVE! BECAUSE I SAY SO!"
They're all running after the two of you. When you look over Chenya's shoulder, you shout at Riddle.
"Then we can get married!" You feel your body thrown into the air. "Next time you see me." You look back at Chenya, a big smile on his face for the last time.
“Say hi to RSA for me~”
… What?
They all reach for you, but you're already gone.
…
Riddle paces back and forth in his room. He never thought he would have a reason to travel outside of Wonderland… but it seems he's found one.
And he'd be a fool to just let you get away with breaking not only his rules…
But his heart.
You fall flat onto the dirt path. Your hands fly everywhere. Your face, your neck, your clothes. Finally... You've made it out!
...
The smile on your face fades when the scenery you're met with isn't Ramshackle, but a savanna. Not only that… your ears feel weird—why are you a lion-beast man right now?!
Your face buries itself into your hands as you kick the floor.
No, no, no ,no ,no…!
"My Queen!" You jolt at the title. A tiny lion beast man bows before you. "Leona is at the Pride! You must come quickly!"
— 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐌!? Ever heard of a memory-erasing flying disc? Well, now you definitely have—you just got hit by one first-hand courtesy of a magical fat cat! Maybe you should’ve paid more attention to your surroundings... having amnesia when you’re one of the most hated students in NRC is quite certainly a disaster waiting to happen.
The question is—why does everyone hate you anyway?
Yan! Twst x Gn! Reader
You're currently on Part 1 !!
Prev Part — Masterlist — Next Part
What you don’t know won’t kill you—but in your situation... it just might.
For once in your life, have you ever wondered whether a magic disc could ever make someone lose their memories? Well, you definitely haven't.
Perhaps that's why you're in this situation.
You never thought you’d wake up in one of NRC's clinics with your head wrapped in bandages like an ancient mummy—but you suppose there's a first for everything.
With your mind feeling numb alongside a distant ringing occupying the space that your brain had to offer and trying to fill the gaps of what it once was, it's surprising to fathom that you were alive—spacing out as your distant uncle rambles on. Crewel have always been verbose, always prying on everyone's businesses in order to provide his not-so needed criticism.
Yet his words were barely registering to you.
" —iotic! Why would you—tsk... forget it. I can’t fathom how we’re even related... " He looked as dictator-ish as ever, subjectively speaking. He's always been like that during family reunions, talking to everyone as if they were dogs.
Perhaps they were, but you had absolutely no intention of lumping yourself in with them, considering that he too—calls you a dog.
If you remember correctly at least.
Your eyes followed his tall figure move restlessly around the room, his expression tight with evident frustration—his eyes as scrutinizing as ever. His hands showed his veins while gripping a clipboard so hard you might've just heard a small crack. You too wonder why the two of you even share the same blood.
You’d give anything—well maybe not anything—to know why he seems to dislike you so much, but unfortunately, your entire mind was an absolute blur of a blank canvas.
The clearest memory you have is sending out an admission letter to Royal Sword Academy... and to Night Raven College..
At least now you know which one accepted you by unwillingly looking at Crewel!
" Is that truly all you recall, (name)? " By the sound of his tone, this man most-likely wants you dead and buried 6ft underground despite sharing the same dna, or you were just being paranoid as ever.
You prefer the latter in favor of the security and safety of your well-being.
Nevertheless, you wouldn't really let it past him, you've already seen him whip some of your relatives—hell! He even spoke your name as if he's allergic to it, who's to say he won't bury you alive?!
He turns sharply towards you, his eyes narrowing with doubt. As if he'd just heard whatever your injured brain conjured up—though you were certain you've been keeping your mouth this entire time.
" If I find out this is another one of your ploys—I will make sure you regret it, mutt. "
.. geez, no wonder half his hair's already white.
It took him quite a while to actually believe you, you even gained another headache in the process. Perhaps your headaches had its own headaches with how much it's hurting.
It's also appalling to think that this man even dared to call you—his distant niece—a mutt! Sure the two of you rarely interacted in any reunions (you never even attended those), but that is no excuse to his extremely rude behavior!
Even with your endless complaints, you're quite aware that you can't exactly do anything about it.
" I suppose that If you are telling the truth—which i find hard to believe—then It appears that the impact your head received from the disc has caused retrograde amnesia "
One glance was all he needed to know you did not understand a single thing that came out of his mouth.
"... since you lack the knowledge—it is a specific type of memory loss where you’re unable to recall events or information that happened before the injury occurred, though I will monitor this closely."
Well, seems like you're gonna be cooped up in the clinic for quite a while! with crewel, unfortunately.
"—and you'll still be given worksheets, don't think that just because you're feignin—i mean injured, you'd be doing nothing. You better enjoy the company of your modules, pup." With an evil glint in his eyes, he lips curl into a light smirk—one that you almost missed as he turned his back to you.
..sigh, no rest for the wicked—you suppose.
As the days passed, you've been subjected to the most terrific torture known to all—isolation alongside worksheets that your feeble mind cannot even comprehend properly.
You almost wonder if it's a deliberate act by the one and only menace—Crewel. Well, he knows more than anyone in this school about your sudden memory loss—yet he seems to pay absolutely no mind to it with the way he sends tons of worksheets day by day that he doesn't even bother explaining to you.
Would've been better if you didn't have to deal with him—but no! You've been seeing his seven's-forsaken face every single day! It's already become a mascot for your nightmares at one point.
And if you had to see that man again alongside his agonizing gaze and snide remarks—
" Shishishi, easy thaumarks here I come! " A voice intervenes your inner monologue.
Much to your surprise, it seems that you need not to suffer in the professor's presence anymore! Perhaps he finally realized you've been isolated with him for far too long—or he got tired of your face pretty early.
Nonetheless, a new face visiting you was a pleasantly unpleasant surprise—the days alone with no one to talk to has surely affected your socialization skills, if you had one at least.
" Woa—so you are still alive after all?! yikes.. "
Standing before you with his beastmen features perched up in astonishment—was none other than.. well, a stranger.
It would’ve been a pleasant welcome, if only you hadn’t caught the tremor of disdain in his voice. A heads-up from that uncle of yours would’ve been helpful, but given with how this beastman guy's already reacting—there’s no telling what he'll do if he discovers the fact that you’ve lost some of your memories.
The more you observed, the more suspicious he became—suspicion planting seeds of doubt from the inside. Could you even take him in a fight if you had to? Probably, probably not.
But even if he seems to be taller than you, he's still quite a bit scrawny—perhaps you could.
Yet looking at the crack-like scars that decorates the lower part of his face, you had a sinking feeling you were absolutely gonna get bodied, who knows?
Perhaps violence was not the answe—
" Uh, I'm just here to deliver these.. no need to glare, geez.." His raspy tone and casual demeanor cut off your on-going train of thoughts as he places your worksheets on-top of your bedside table.
" and I'm not even one of 'em, I'm just lil ol me.." He mumbles to himself, almost becoming a whisper that you barely managed to decipher.
.. one of them?
You felt your brain form a wrinkle.
" Wai—"
" Well, that should be all.. see 'ya, bandage-head!"
Before you could even say a single four-letter word, he dashed off as if he was one with the wind. He shut the door close, leaving you there with your mouth open and your eye twitching in annoyance.
.. he didn't even let you finish, how rude.
After letting out a sigh full of exasperation, you looked over at the worksheets on your bedside table with your eyes once again twitching at the title—General Mathematics.
Well, you suppose the company of the worksheets would suffice for now—as long as it's not Crewel..
But still, what did that guy mean when he said he's not one of them?
.. whatever, probably none of your business.
" Yoohoo? Bandage-head?"
Just when you thought that would be the last time you’d ever see the rude scrawny beastman, the universe proved you wrong. Over these past few days, he kept showing up again and again—until he’d slipped into your routine, entirely by accident.
" You're really not much'of a talker, are ya? " He seems to love the sound of his own voice, from your perspective at the very least—quite the opposite of yourself.
With how much he rambles, he’d also become your source of information—at the expense of your thaumarks that you weren't even aware existed.
A small price to pay, yet you still find yourself wondering—how reliable is he, exactly?
...
.. well, it was either him or Crewel. Not the best choices certainly, but at least one doesn't seem to dislike you as much as the other. If he does, then he's quite great at hiding it.
Your thoughts are soon interrupted by an exasperated sigh, urging you to look at the beastman who's eyes were already set onto yours.
" You're acting weird, y'know? I think even the prefect's startin' to get worried 'bout ya. " He speaks in an oddly monotone voice as he rests his chin onto the palm of his hand, raising a brow at your unexpressive face.
... who?
You hear him mumble something under his breath, and yet it wasn't loud enough for you to fully understand—opting you to stay silent.
For a moment, at least.
" Why are you still here? " Your throat almost hurts with how unused your voice is—seems like you ought to start using it more, screaming your heart's frustrations out into a pillow doesn't exactly count.
" Why do'ya only speak when ya' wanna drive me outta here? " While he speaks, you wonder what other reason could there be rather than the fact that you'd prefer you were alone.
Though you suppose he's.. kind of nice to have around—considering that you've been alone for quite a while whenever Crewel leaves.
Well—either way, if this prefect-person was oh-so worried, then why haven't they visited you? To you, it seems like they're not worried enough.
Or not worried at all.
" Ahem! Well, as I was sayin' earlier—before 'ya spaced out—someone threw an egg to his face and then he overblotted. "
" .. an egg? "
" Yea, an egg—can 'ya believe it!? In this economy? " He invades your personal space as he gets close to your face while he rambles on how much the egg prices have grown expensive.
You couldn't really care less about whatever he's ranting about, his exaggeration makes it seem false—like seriously? Overblotting over a thrown egg? Next thing he'll say, cats can spit out blue fire.
Though if there was something else you'd find far more intriguing—then it'd be the scars that adorned the lower half of his face.
You'd ask him how he got those, but decided against it once you realized you weren't even aware of what this guy's name was.
" Ya' of all people should know this, ya' were there after all when it happened—Hey! Ya' spacing out again! " He snapped his fingers infront of you, even leaning in as his expression morphs into one that's would earn sympathy from people—one with doe slightly teary eyes and pouty lips.
Unfortunately for him, you weren't part of those people—you were an amnesiac.
"... ever heard of personal space? " You mutter loud enough for him to hear, slowly moving away from his presence.
" Ya' hurtin this poor lil hyena's feelings, bandage-head.."
You ignored his whining—focusing more on the worksheets laid infront of you. Hearing him let out another sigh, you wonder why he's even bothering with you—
" I'll have 'ya know, this ain't free. "
—oh right, the thaumarks.
Once you looked over at him, he was already reaching his hand out with a smirk grazing his overly-enthusiastic face—which brightened up more once you reached for your wallet that was given to you by Crewel.
Just as you were about to hand it to him—he suddenly took his laid out hand back and scratched the back of his neck, seems like he had a change of heart.
" Well—uh, hold on " The way he spoke immediately caught you off-guard, his usually raspy tone held an underlying strain—even his eyes seemed to twitch.
" What about we uhm.. change it up a li'l? I've been doin' all the talkin—how 'bout.. ya' tell me more about ya'self?" A smile decorated his face, one that didn't reach his eyes—yet his tone was as cheerful as ever. You could've sworn he muttered something after—but perhaps it's just a pigment of your imagination.
" Whaddya say? " He reaches his hand out once again, staring into your eyes that held confusion as your body seemed to suddenly have a mind of its own—with your hand also reaching out to his.
... huh?
" Wa-wait—" He cuts you off with his own words.
" That's more like it!" He grips your hand tight as he shakes both of your hands with such vigor—you almost thought it'd fall off.
You could only stare in bewilderment at the handshake being performed before you.
" What are you doing, pups? " All of a sudden, a voice you normally would've revolted at enters the room.
" Tsk.. not again.. " You heard the beastman mutter to himself, the smile on his face dropping as he lets go of your now free hand.
" What was that, Ruggie? "
"Nothing, professor! I—I should get going, gotta go wake someone up!" With a smile on his face he stands up to leave, almost in a hurry—but not before bidding you farewell.
" See'ya, Bandage-head!" With that being said, he closes the door on the way out.
You stare at the door, then at your hand in disbelief—were you imagining things earlier? You wonder to yourself as you began to stretch every finger possible.
.. or you've gone crazy after being confined in a clinic for so long—almost two weeks or so if your perception of time was still available and working.
... Perhaps it was the second option—staying with your uncle for so long must've made you lose your mind.
Hold on.. the thaumarks you were supposed to give are.. missing?
" First time having hands, mutt? Quit dilly-dallying and focus on your work. " You felt his gaze upon you—if that was even possible.
Though you never thought there'd be a time where you'd be appreciating your uncle's sudden appearance, but as you had thought before—there's a first for everything.

Cyberverse Soundwave x Reader
• Clearing his vents as he glances at a camera mounted high on a wall, his plating barely ruffles before he keeps walking. It’s hard not to wonder if those cameras could be used to track Cybertronians, though. If the feed is being used to make dossiers of routines. That would make it easier to know when a lone Cybertronian will be in a given place at a given time, making it easier to follow them. To find an opportunity to drive them into an alley away from the traffic. Servos reaching to touch the damaged brick of the nearest building, he turns slightly. Standing at the mouth of the alley as he lines his own servos up with the broken brick. There’s not much traffic this time of night, hasn’t seen a car drive by in a about a breem. But then, this isn’t a good part of town at night. Studying the scrapes and scuffs on the ground of the alley, he can almost see it. What happened here.
• Turning slowly, he studies the street. Noting the skid marks on the asphalt. Had assumed it was young humans playing. Doing so called donuts in the street. But now he studies the markings. Imagining the vehicle speeding down the street, turning sharply. Slamming into the mech right as he’d been standing in front of the alley. Driving him between the buildings. Meaning there’d be- right. Staring at the lines of broken and gouged brick on either side of the inside of the alley. His shoulder plating had scraped as he’d been driven in. Wedging him where he couldn’t move easily. Rocking back a step as his servos flex, he studies the alley. Where did they go from there? Turning to study the road again, he examines the skid marks. What if there were two vehicles? One to drive the target into an enclosed space and another to load him up when they were done incapacitating him somehow? Catching movement, his head turns. Seeing blinds shift in a window. An apartment.
• Heart racing because there’s one of them outside your building, you see the shadow moving on the other side of the blind and you back away from the glass. Skin prickling when the mech taps on the window, you fumble for your phone. “I just want to ask a question,” he says, low voice shockingly soft as your fingers tighten on your phone. “I’m looking for someone.” The other one. You’d seen him, been accustomed to him. The mech had never bothered to mass shift, so you’d seen his shadow passing almost every day. Is this guy a friend of his? “I’m being nice right now, but I could break the glass if I wanted to. Easily,” he adds.
• Rocking back when the blinds get pulled up and the window shoved open, you stare up at him, expression wary. Not a terrible instinct. Sees your eyes flick past him toward the alley and a grim certainty that you saw something sinks into him. “I don’t want any trouble,” you say and he inclines his head. ‘And I don’t want to cause you any. But a friend of mine is missing. They live near here. Would have walked this way to go home,’ he coaxes and your shoulders hunch. ‘I’m just worried about them. That’s all,’ he says and your eyes flick to his visored optics and away. ‘If you saw anything, it could help me find him.’
• That voice is coaxing, friendly to make you want to help him. But you’re pretty sure that you weren’t supposed to see any of what happened. That you shouldn’t be talking to him right now. Swallowing as he hooks a servo against the railing, it’s the fact that he’s asking at all. Because you’re aware that he could probably smash his hand into the building to grab you if he wanted to. Hurt you into talking instead of asking you to help him voluntarily. “I saw the oversized truck they loaded him into. The logo on it. It was like a mask,” you admit and his head tilts. ‘Could you draw it for me?’ He asks and you bite the inside of your cheek, but nod.
We've restocked on blokees at my work and I bought 8 out of the 12 there. No duplicates so far and my most favorite pulls are Cyclonus, Brilliant Optimus, and SG Skyfire. Kinda sad I didn't get SG Soundwave, but that's blind boxes for you... I'm tempted to buy the last 4 from the case we got, but I'd feel like a dick if some kid came hoping to snag one and found them all gone.
Hopefully your work keeps getting them and you can acquire ✨a hoard of tiny husbands ✨ I love the extra tiny Blokees. Working on con badges now

Insecticons x Reader
• They’re not going to just crawl around on the building and scream all night are they? Staring at their shadowy shapes moving around on the other side of the window, one of your neighbors is yelling at them to knock it off. Maybe you should grab a broom and gently nudge them with the bristle end? Try to shoo them away. They’re your assigned mechs, so you should deal with it. Shuddering at that awful sound they’re making, you groan and roll out of bed. Maybe they’re just hungry?
• Why aren’t you responding? You must hear them. Moving restlessly over the wall, Kickback taps with his extra limbs, mandibles flexing with the urge to just chew his way inside. Because now that they’ve decided on you, he’s impatient to claim you as part of their hive. Singing for you, trying to drown out the other two, he falters when the sliding glass door on your balcony opens. Turning to look down at you as you shake a baggie at them. And he smells food. Hissing as he crawls down the wall toward you, you’re backing away.
• Snapping at Kickback, Shrapnel transforms, mass shifting and dropping into a crouch behind you. Straightening up to loom over you as you spin his way and smile nervously, you shove your hand into the bag and hold out a fistful of some kind of human food. “I heard you guys out here,” you begin, stumbling and dropping several of the white, fluffy food bites when Bombshell drops, mass shifting and transforming behind you. Growling, Shrapnel catches your arm, servos wrapping around your wrist and you look back at him, eyes wide. “I thought you might be hungry?” You ask, smiling faintly.
• Venting as he circles you, Bombshell watches Shrapnel pull your hand toward him, the other Insecticon’s head lowering. His lips brushing your palm and fingers, those sharp denta close to soft skin as he eats the food you brought them out of your hand. “Such a tasty little snack, snack,” Shrapnel chuckles and you shiver. Rumbling at Kickback when the other mech mass shifts and transforms to trap you between the three of them, Bombshell reaches out to catch your chin, turning your face his way. ‘We’ve decided,’ he growls.
• They’ve decided? On what? Mystified and eyes wide as Kickback croons and fists the back of your pajama shirt, you have no idea what’s going on, but they’re not screaming anymore. [Name] Goldheart was heavily regarded as someone innocent.
A weird title to be labeled as by the media, sure. A little irritating, if they were being honest, if not completely wrong.
Yet no one would ever assume a well-liked idol such as [Name] was both a liar and a transmigrator.
The moment they woke into this world, they had wished for one thing.
Please make things easier for me..
Unfortunately for them, that was not the case.
Because not only were they the product of a messy divorce that left them stuck with an obsessive and controlling mother, they were also siblings to Vil Schoenheit.
Famous actor, absolute diva, serving mother 24/7, Pomefiore’s housewarden, a character from a series they were getting into right before they died?
Yeah, no. Freak out of the century was an understatement.
[Name] wasn’t gonna lie, they really liked Vil as a character. So it was a bit saddening for them to grow up having a rather distant relationship with their older brother.
And it certainly didn’t help the divide when it involved their mother.
“Do you see this?! Of course he would ruin my plans, he’s just like his father! How dreadful!” Blah blah blah!
Their mother would go hours raging over whatever new project Vil had going on.
Not like [Name] paid attention. Though, it was kind of annoying when their name would quickly be overshadowed. And also weird why she has one sided beef with her son.
SP01LEDSWEET, the pop group they were apart of, had debuted at that time. And yet with all those extra advertisements and promo’s, they still couldn’t make it on the front cover without Vil or Neige taking up space.
Did those two deserve to be on the front? Yeah. But [Name] has been working hard too. Can’t they at least have some recognition?
[Name] had went up to one of their producers one day during a song recording.
“Hey, I was thinking, maybe if we went with that one demo, we could—“
“No can do, [Name]. That song is way too dark for someone like you.” What does that even mean?
“It’s just a breakup song, though..” It wasn’t even anything crazy. It was actually really pleasant to listen to.

The music taste here is so different..
No vocaloid, no abba, no pump up the jam, no messy break up songs, no profanity, no horny ass music?? Man, what kind of “villains world” is this?! Villains world my ASS.
Where was the rich bitches flaunting their wealth through song? The celebrity drama? Or maybe all of that energy was just an NRC thing?
Nonetheless, [Name] found these facts very unsettling.
Actually..
“What are the copyright laws here?” was what [Name] found themself wondering, moving to grab their phone.
They wanted to cover all their bases before they got to work. Getting sued for copyright would be really annoying and a pain to deal with.

• Why won’t you stop? You’re sobbing now, almost going down with every step as you tremble. But you haven’t abandoned him to make your own way and you haven’t stopped limping stubbornly forward. Doesn’t understand it. If your roles were reversed, he wouldn’t hesitate. Your hushed voice lifts through him, accusing him of being a monster. And he can’t even deny it, he became the monster to save his people. To do the hard things his brother was too squeamish to do. Isn’t ashamed of it. So why did it needle him when you said it?
• Can’t stop shaking, even your teeth chattering as your world narrows down to that pain. To the feel of your ankle screaming and you swear you can feel bone grinding on bone as you fall again and he’s hitting the ground with you, snarling as his big hands catch himself. Hate that you’re crying. That you were too scared of being alone to be the hero and end him. That you’re still scared. But that’s nothing new, you’ve been scared most of your life. Want to try and push back to your feet, but your body won’t respond and you can hear your own ragged breathing, vision blurring with tears. And there’s a scuff ahead in the dark tunnel. A light. Optics you realize as your hope that the heroes would find you slowly dies. Because that’s an Omnic making its way toward you both. A Nullifier.
• Reaching up as servos clasp his arm and one of his Nullifiers hauls him up, supporting him, relief spills through him. And he’s aware of you cringing like you’re trying to make yourself smaller. Trying to go unnoticed. Looking away as more of his followers move forward, weapons ready, his face tips up towards the filthy stone overhead. Should leave you here. You’re nothing. But you’d tried to help him even though you’d been disgusted with him, shown him mercy when you had to realize how dangerous a double-edged blade mercy is. “Take the human,” he growls.
• Servos seize you and you’re dragged to your feet by a Nullifier. When you struggle, you’re manhandled like a misbehaving kitten. This isn’t how this was supposed to play out. It was supposed to be your people coming to the rescue, not his. The unfairness of it and the pain has you giving up as you’re carried by the Nullifier, slumping tucked against its side. Why had you thought you could be the hero? Be brave? Staring at the back of his head, at those ribbons that crown his head swaying slightly with the movement of the Nullifier carrying him, he doesn’t look back at you. What’s he going to do with you? You’d called him a monster. Tried to kill him. How’s he going to punish you for that? He’ll make an example of you, you’re sure of it.
• Venting raggedly, he reluctantly looks over his shoulder. And you’re slumped over against the Nullifier carrying you, eyes closed as you tremble. He’s only returning a favor. A mercy for a mercy. Could have left you down here, but as blind as you are in the dark, you probably wouldn’t have found your way out. Remembers how you’d looked standing over him, hate in your eyes as you’d lifted that rebar over your head. The way you’d sounded calling him a monster. You really have no idea, though. Know absolutely nothing. Your kind made him a monster, drove him to this, but monsters survive. They’re remembered.
