Ooh those drinks sound really good! My go-to coffee is whatever is strongest and fastest, plain black and chugged as quickly as possible before we open. But for the summertime, I’ve been making myself a blackberry matcha lemonade!
Oh that blackberry matcha lemonade sounds heavenly!! I honestly really enjoy matcha, it's very unique and I like to treat myself with it when I can!
At home I have a little moka pot that I put breakfast blend coffee into and then put brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and oat milk creamer into it and it's my little treat for the weekend. It's my favorite thing to have! And I can use a tiny mug because my moka pot isn't that big.
For the ask game! What’s your coffee or go-to cafe order? (- from a bored barista at work)
Oooo so my local barista knows me too well and I typically for coffee only ask for a iced caramel latte with oat milk. But!! Recently she's created a concoction that is sweet matcha, oat milk, and caramel syrup with a dash of salt and it is probably the best thing I've ever had. I would get that 100% of the time if it didn't give me a sugar rush lol 🤣
Now tell me yours!!

New Weekly Article!
In this week's article (our first during Pride Month!): "Who cares if we look like a girl or boy? Paul McCartney and gender envy", reader Mason @waxywolf explores Paul McCartney's fashion sense in the 1970s and how, to modern eyes, it can look like a relaxed and fluid gender presentation. Mason explores the concept of "gender envy" and how Paul's image influenced his own gender journey. Not to be missed!
Have a wonderful week, Beatle People!! ✌️

hi! I’m looking for queer books from the 1970s-80s for a personal project, although anything before that is also cool! I was wondering if the collection has any? Or at least, a collection of historical-ish queer books?
hey! we definitely do. for general browsing of historical-ish queer books there are a few lists that should be interesting
in our Pride Guide we’ve got a list titled "we have always been here” which is a mix of literature & nonfiction with queer people throughout history
we’ve also got a Nonfiction Guide. within that I’d say check out our BIPOC+Queer Stories & Histories list and our Queer History list!
As far as the 70’s & 80’s go in particular, here are a few titles (we’re assuming you mean nonfiction?? but if not let us know):
A Queer History of the United States & Transgender History (classics. both cover much greater span of time, but latter chapters hit these decades)
Coming Out, Moving Forward (queer history in Wisconsin 1969-2000)
Chicago After Stonewall (focuses on 1969-1975)
Pride (collection of photographs in NY 1970)
A lot of publications centering queer history in the 80’s do focus on AIDS, out of those we particularly recommend: Let the Record Show & And the Band Played On. & for some lighter 80’s reading 1981 - My Gay American Road Trip.
