My name is Blueberry (most people just call me Berry though), my pronouns are it/they and I'm 19.

That being said, I am pro-ship and I do talk about it a lot! I can't help it, I looove expressing my opinions all the time.

If you wanna know my stance on anything that's not mentioned here you're totally free to send an ask or DM, but I'm generally very laid-back: I believe that as long as you don't harm anyone IRL in any way, it's chill.

This morning my therapist told me "Yeah you're running off of pure rage but have you considered that it might be a good thing?" and I was like girl what the fuck are you talking about, and she said "Well your situation isn't good, you got broken up with in a weird way, your parents suck, you're super stressed, your ASD is not helping, but you meet all that with a certain kind of anger because your mind wants to protect you. You're fueled by that anger and it's protecting you. You're holding on thanks to her."

And I had a shitty, anxiety-filled day today because I think it was making its way in my brain and I think I sort of struggle to make peace with it but it's not wrong. This specific anger protects me, makes me stand up for myself. And it'll take time but I'll accept it eventually, and it'll help me get the peace I so desperately need.

#I don't know I just. Reflect on it and I know it's late but. Yeah.

I'm glad some of ya'll are in peace with your autism, but I relate to the first girl so much.

My autism makes my life difficult, sometimes miserable even. It makes interacting with people so much harder. Making friends and having loving relationship is more difficult because it Weeds out the people who have little patience for you. Worklife is hell with all the subtle infos you're supposed to grasp from your colleagues but you don't and the constant stimulus overload.

And it's been proven that people tend to dislike autistic people on their first interaction, without them knowing they're autistic. And you know what they say "first impressions matter".

I think there is no amount of autism that is palletable for non-autisic people on a regular basis. At most, they'll excuse you if they're patient and educated about autism. But most people just think you're being dense on purpose or that you hate them or that you're rude, even though you don't intend to come across like that and you would actually like to be friends.

Oh and there's the whole trauma of having been bullied througout m'y whole teenagehood, seemingly for arbitrary reason ("there's always a classroom's scapegoat", my teachers would tell my mom). I thought I was just fondamentally unlovable, that there was something wrong with me. As a adult, I realized I was autistic and the bullying probably came from that. Thinking that doesn't erase the social anxiety, though.

(sorry if I used wrong terms in my text. English isn't my first language and I know terms have been changing these past few years, but I haven't kept up with them)

To enjoy running through a beautiful field of grass and flowers (ao3) you have to tolerate the fact that bugs (fics you don’t like) are there and maybe you will even encounter one, but you can use bugspray (filtered tags) to reduce the likelihood of that. Because the alternative is not getting to experience the beautiful field of grass and flowers.
