Something…something…Thirdlight thinking she could have a family after being alone so long…something…something Thirdlight feeling happy with her soulmates and that her soulmates trusted her as much as she trusted them after opening up to them. Then having everything crash down on you after the closest thing to family you had begins falling apart when one of your soulmates breaks the other member’s trust, and your standing between them so won’t kill each other. Then the anger that Thirdlight feels just as strongly as Celine does for how Mi-Yeong lied to them and broke Celine’s trust. Something…something…carrying emotional weight of everyone else before leaving the people you could have considered family. Now Thirdlight feels alone again…
Also hearing how if Thirdlight found Mira or Zoey, but doesn’t get close with them and only brings them either to Mi-Yeong for their training, but now I’m imagining Mira—who also desperately wants to belong somewhere and have a family which makes Thirdlight see herself in Mira reflected back at her. But Thirdlight can’t get attached, so she convinces Mira to be an Idol or something so that she may be trained by Mi-Yeong.
Sorry, it’s just something I noticed that you made Thirdlight a Mira parallel in this the Gumiho AU.
I have mentioned thirdlight is an orphan in this AU. So, to be introduced and trusted by Celine to meet her family is a huge deal. Thirdlight being swarmed by the kits and demand her to play with them every time the trio visits the Gumihos. Ofc thirdlight obliges and is so smug about it that she's the kits favourite. Celine rolling her eyes affectionately. I feel like thirdlight will likely stumble into Zoey instead of Mira bcs she's overseas.

just blasted through the masterpiece that is Show Me (How to Love You) by @honestground and can’t get chapter 5 out of my head so had to sketch it. This is the first Polytrix fic I ever read and it’s funny, moving and very hot, 10/10 would recommend 🔥
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Werewolf Rumi as a puppy & Celine
Inspired by @kayr0ss 's AU Wolfish Behavior, but is not a scene from the fic! Just me playing around with the concept
Anyway she's just a little baby, she wanted to play outside 🥺
what IF they made a HALLOWEEN special set after huntr/x turn the honmoon rainbow (?) which MEANS they have to deal with more SUPERNATURAL stuff spilling into the human realm and one NIGHT they are hunting what they think is a DEMON but they can't FIND it in the deep dark forest or w/e bc it's not acting like a regular demon it's all elusive and there's all those horror/ thriller tropes of group split up/ monster in the dark/ cant see the monster but it can see you etc AND TURNS OUT it is a GUMIHO that's way too OP (I like to think of the KPDH power scaling as demons →demon hunters→spirits) and so even tho they cant see it/ arent quite sure what it is YET they feel that instant blood curdling bone chilling terror etc but also a weird sense of thrilling anticipation. which gives them pause like "hey i dont think we're the hunters here"
any plot plot idk they end up tracking the Gumiho to a CLUB where everyone is wearing masks like an underground masquerade so Huntrx shows up in this (Zoey=Imugi Mira=gumiho (for the thematic parellels ofc) and rumi= derpy tiger:
and they have to search and find out who is the demon/spirit/ whatever they're hunting they're still a bit in the dark (also gumiho shape shifts so there's that) and how to they know who is the REAL demon and who's just wearing masks etc and there's that dark rhythmic synth blasting and it's all chaotic w flashing neon strobes BUT THEN they for just a second see in the crowd a wildly beautiful woman WITHOUT a mask looking right back at them and they get that same sense of danger and thrill then she melts back into the crowd:
so the gumiho looks like this (huntr/x for scale it's as big as a Clydesdale in fox form):
(for general vibes think Eres from that sinbad movie)
AND turns out THIS gumiho isn't evil it is a truly ANCIENT being like it was old in 200 bce and speaks like. idk the korean equivalent of shakespeare. AND is essentially an allegory/ personification of nature ie it's neutrality/ moral indifference, completely outside of humanity. and the Legends of gumiho bewitching men and killing them isnt entirely accurate bc the gumiho just mostly keeps to itself but HUMANS cannot mind their business and throughout history there are many examples of them trying to conquer/possess/control nature and it's beauty/power (beautiful things in general). and so in both fox and human form the gumiho is hunted by Man bc fox form=conquering nature like how people hunt elephants/ lions etc and human form= beautiful woman (i dont think i need to explain that one)
and so like people trying to "conquer" frontiers/ mountains they try to conquer the gumiho. but like nature the gumiho doesn't give a fuck abt morality or w/e and kills those who dont respect it. fuck around and find out, if you will.
so there's a ethical bind for huntr/x since the gumiho could have easily killed them 20 times over but didnt, and only kills for self-preservation, so it is only a threat to humans if humans try to impose their will on the gumiho. do you hunt/ imprison/ kill the gumiho in order to protect people from the consequences of their own actions? when if you were a gumiho to you'd likely do the same?
anyway im not going to go on bc i feel like this:
general themes include adoration vs fetishization (where is the line), ancient clashing w the modern, amoral nature vs the human tendency to rationalise/moralise, power & control, the bias of history/ legends and who tells them, who controls the narrative, the horrors of being perceived and the entertainment industry writ large ie voyeurism, exploitation and its echoes throughout history etc etc
anyway there isn't any super thought out plot/ story here I just wanted to get those visuals out (my process is something like "oh this scene would look so cool" then i have to work backwards to find a story to match with the themes and vibes of the visual - so apologies to anyone hoping for a resolution/ coherent plot for any of the colour keys/ storyboards i've done in the past idk how to write anything properly D':) nothing here is that serious/coherent
on a completely different tangent I dont care about exactly which direction they take the sequel in (just don't resurrect jinu lol don't cheapen death/sacrifice)
buuut I do hope they a) don't nerf huntrix (rumi is so op now lol) but instead use power scaling to up the stakes/ introduce the antagonist/ new status quo. Bc in the first movie you never get the feeling that huntr/X is ever actually in danger/ not the most powerful ie saja boys had to go after the fans, gwi-ma was honestly not that hard to defeat once they got back together (I know that might be a consequence of script changes and rushed pacing but w/e) SO I think IT would be VERY COOL for huntrx to get absolutely bodied in the first act by the new antagonist, thus upping the stakes immediately and introducing a new kind of threat (they might lose not just by not sealing the honmoon but by fkn dying lol) so now instead of being big fish in a little pond they're now big fish in the ocean w sharks or smth. (I know it's a family movie but all the best kids films imo have genuine dire stakes like mufasa died on screen, implied massacre in mulan, panda genocide in kung fu panda 2, spiderman getting killed 20 mins into into the spiderverse, whatever was going on w the priest in humpback of notre dame. Toy story 3s incinerator bit. Also just how kids imaginations work anyway like they come up w some dark shit.)
And b) just go into the consequences of the first movie's end and not rely too much on flashbacks. Obviously it would be interesting to see stuff abt the sunlight sisters and rumis parents and huntrx origin story but not at the expense of developing the cause and effect part essential to sequels. Like its a sequel not a prequel. Godfather 2 is a great example of this kind of thing done right, but I think the KDPH narrative/ themes in particular lend itself to Consequences being super important ie yes tradition can be broken but there is always consequences for that, good and bad, and by breaking tradition you forgo the roadmap inherent in tradition, so everything is new and you kind of have to figure it out as you go. Fuck around and find out if you will. (Also I think all 3 can embody the theme of breaking tradition ie rumis literal existence, mira = black sheep, zoey= caught between 2 cultures/identities and must forge her own). I mean I don't think that they won't develop the story I just hope they don't overexplain the past lore or w/e in an effort to over correct the first movie not really getting into it all that much bc i feel like overexplaining can kill the mystery/ scope of a story and also bloats the narrative.
Hyper specific kpdh/phasmophobia au sketchdump I started last summer when I was obsessed with both.
They exist in a very nebulous ghost hunting au: no idols, no weapons, just part time ghost hunters.

thank u for the response so far ive been having a lot of fun love u all
lately my kids have been playing Baby Knife, which consists of somebody acting as a baby with knife hands chasing people while going "baby knife baby knife" over and over. is this a thing or are they just insane
we have a new teacher this year who has never had kindergarten before & she rounded em all up & told em No Baby Knife and No Zombies and idk how to tell her that 1. all kindergarten recess games boil down to Give Birth And Kill Each Other and 2. the absurd vaguely inappropriate games they make up are usually better than when they try to play an Actual game like soccer
Baby Knife is straightforward. theres a baby knife. baby knife chases you. thats about it. when they try to play Real Sports every single child is playing by a different set of rules unbeknownst to the others and none of them are playing by the Actual rules. everybody is mad at everybody else and running up to tell on their colleagues for cheating every 3 minutes. this doesnt happen when they play Baby Knife
if no one's said it, it's normal. It's just Tag with flavor. Tag is boring so you gotta add imagination.
Our baby knife as kids was Raptor Tag. Raptors hunt in packs so the person who was "it" had to run around pretending to be a velociraptor and to tag people they had to actually tackle them and "eat" them for 5 full seconds (others could come to the rescue and save them in that time, but risked getting eaten too or instead if the raptor switched targets). Eaten players then became raptors, until the whole pack was teamwork-hunting the last wily or lucky kid. There were no winning survivors- the game was won as a group once everyone was a raptor.
My kindergarten played "wolves" where a pack of 4-12 children, usually all the girls, would try to chase down and "kill" the deer (usually me)
I was bulled extensively in elementary school, but 1. Mostly by my teachers and 2. Not during this, because we ALL had PBS Nature and as Deer, I was allowed to gouge, kick, bite, keep running even after being grabbed, or body-check the larger children into the picnic tables and other architecture.
You know, for realism.
In point of fact, I was usually The Deer because I was the best at evading/ not going down without a fight, whereas most boys would just start crying or tattle, which is no fun at all.
We were incredibly boring. We played "murder ball" which was just Capture the Flag over the whole school grounds (outdoors only) and violence was permitted using the ball.
#We played Leeches (people run past you and you grab their legs and make them fall)#And Roadkill (body-slam your friends to the ground)#The teachers did not like these games
Your school would've loved Get Down, Mr President
we had British Bulldogs which was where one line of kids had to get past another line of kids (and vice versa) and violence was expected, much like we imagine dodgeball to be
our version of tag had a robust preamble where the other kids would pretend to play another game and the it would ask to join and be rejected on different grounds thrice, before finally being allowed in on the pretend game. the it would then feign a stomachache and prompt the other kids to ask them what they last ate. they'd say something like "liver," or "guts," and the other kids would follow the line of questioning through to reveal that the it belongs to a family of classic man-eating monsters and ghosts, culminating in the question: "what are you hiding behind your back?"
at which point the it gleefully shouts "A KNIFE!" and chases the other kids down to pretend-murder them while everybody screams their heads off
omg that baby’s head is SOPPING wet…. imagine little bun zoey hopping in with her entire head wet from celine’s grooming 😭😭😭
Daltokki Zoey after her grooming session:
[setting: large discord server]
you: abort that thang
someone you've never spoken to in your life: um, that's actually really offensive bc i was an abortion so you should delete this
you: wtf how

Moral of The Story: What?
Do you think Mira stays awake at night thinking about how Rumi said "Zoey please" instead of 'Mira please' or even 'girls please' and how its because she is too aggressive, emotional or undeserving because Rumi didn't even think it was worth it to beg to her, because Rumi knew it was pointless already :)
And if we wanna get really dark post movie.... maybe she would start thinking along the lines of 'my girl might want to kill herself again and she won't ever come to me'
repeat after me: i am a sexy bitch and no one ruins my 2014
I am a sexy bitch and no one ruins my 2014
looked under a microscope and saw this?
HAPPY KPDH ANNIVERSARY all that all that, I love them, we once again cuddle.
