Every photo of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan together looks like a a respectable mafia boss father named Giovanni and his weird son who bites sometimes
Yeahhhh, you're right
This comment was left on a post about making the most of the Libby app. "Excessive use of generous lending policies" is the most absurd phrase I've ever seen anyone use to discuss libraries.

This tag deserves a spotlight
Everyone go make excessive use of your local library's generous lending policies to borrow my books and read them for free. Thank you libraries.

The problem with meal prep is that I tend not to use recipes or measure things if I can help it which means that I did NOT properly proportion my veggie bake ingredients and now I have like. A kilo of leftover baked sweet potato slices. So I guess I'm eating sweet potato tomorrow.
Imagine living pre-refrigeration. Pain in the arse.
and in early refrigeration. Death.
Agreed but at the same time thereās something really cool to me that only a hundred years ago or so people were having blocks of ice delivered to their homes to keep their food cold
I'm pretty sure those blocks of ice were made via refrigeration.
I don't know where and when that picture is from, but i do know that in some parts of the world, pre-refrigeration, you could cut up frozen lakes in the winter, bury a chunk of ice in the ground and it would last for most of the year and allow people to store food in a cold place even when it was not cold outside.
Ice has been imported for centuries, but one hundred years ago was 1926, by which time the ice trade was almost entirely dead because industrial freezing and refrigeration in more local ice plants was so much cheaper and easier.
Ormund calling Rhaenyra weak because sheās a women but then vomitting at the sight of blood is hilarious.
Rhaenyra has given birth multiple times, killed a wild boar, beheaded a man, and bled protecting her son; without once crumbling like everyone expected her too.
fantasy really did cook with dragons as an allegory for weapons of mass destruction, more specifically as a symbolic manifestation of the insatiable greed that drives men to seek to claim ownership and control over such weapons
like oh man i sure hope your dismissal and objectification of highly independent and intelligent beings as "savage beasts" and the fiercely possessive pride you take in their subjugation doesn't reflect your broader ideological values haha. can you even imagine.
Klaus offering to find or kill Abby for Bonnie ugh what a ship we missed out on
btw you should make sure to spend the infinite cycle of life, death, and rebirth with a bestie. itās called ouroboros not myoboros
it makes me think of when i said hillary had slaves in the 1980s, like actual black slaves who were prisoners who had to serve her and her evil ass husband without pay in their mansion, providing free labor for cleaning cooking waiting on them yard work the list goes on, and if they did not comply they would be sent back to prison and risk solitary confinement, and when i said this hundreds of ppl were angry and saying i was attacking a wonderful pure democrat woman who āwas fighting for my rightsā as a black personā¦. as if forcing imprisoned black people into slavery and threatening them with cruel retaliation isnāt indicative of who she is as a person
Hey, So do you have any goddamn proof of this or do you expect everyone to take your smear campaigns on democrats as the truth? Stop making up hogwash.
u coulda googled this in like 5 secondsā¦.but yes i have proof bc hillary herself admitted to this in her autobiography book āit takes a villageā that she released in 1996, where she openly defends the fact that she had slaves as tradition and a āgood thingā, there is an entire article and book that the article mentions here about her and her evil ass husband happily being antiblack demonsā¦ā¦.any other questions ?

Does anyone else think its kind of ableist and a little bit evil how editorialised subtitles are? Like, swear words get censored and things are written, not as they're said, but as non explicit as possible and its so shitty because why? why do that to the deaf people? If people are swearing, then deaf people should be able to know what the audio is saying.
on the topic of disabled characters, though, i think a LOT of artists give characters mobility aids that their character wouldn't actually benefit from using.
i'm sort of having a mild brain fog moment rn so i can't fully articulate what i'm on about, but i think a lot of able-bodied artists view things like canes and crutches as interchangeable. and they often don't know enough about the wide range of mobility aids to make an informed decision about what their character might actually use based on their disability
i also think that aids like walkers and rollators are sort of viewed as "cringe" on some level, and many people view them to be "just for old people," so many artists will opt for giving a character who has full-body pain and fatigue a cane (which, in many cases, can potentially WORSEN full-body pain) instead. and a lot of people don't realize that most wheelchair users are able to walk, so they don't consider it an option for characters with chronic pain
please reblog this linked version, ty <33
