Yk, we've had Superman changing Bruce willingly or not, the Fortress AI changing Bruce unwillingly, but what about Bruce sneaking into the Fortress against Clark's wishes while he's in space?
Bruce desperately wants to be a better match for Clark's self-denied desires to breed him and his stamina, but Clark adamantly refuses to put Bruce through any sort of (very painful and invasive) process.
But yk who really wants the Kryptonians to continue and really isn't squeamish about doing what it can? The AI companion that was sent to Earth in Clark's pod.
It doesn't take much to make the AI see his (their really) side of things.
"You, Bruce Wayne, the Batman, my masters mate, consent to the listed procedures?"
I think I like this idea even better than any unwilling change, because I just love Bruce being desperate to carry Clark's children lol
Clark and Hal go on a mission together, and it's a perfect opportunity to put Bruce's plan in motion.
He's left with a kiss and "I'm gonna miss you" from Clark before he and Hal leave. Just an hour later, Bruce is in the Batwing, heading to the Arctic.
Krypto is outside, guarding the Fortress, and while he likes Bruce, he doesn't allow him anywhere near the door. Because Clark was very precise, that Bruce isn't allowed in the Fortress alone, under any circumstances.
And Krypto is a good dog. He'll respect his owner's wishes, not afraid to use strength to keep Bruce outside.
When Bruce tries to enter the first time, Krypto grabs his cape and pulls him back with a playful growl. Bruce already knows this is an obstacle he won't be able to remove. Not without harming Krypto, and he doesn't want that.
So he starts to speak to the Fortress.
Clark wants this, he's just too good to put me through it.
I want this, I know the consequences, I'm ready.
I don't mind the pain, I lived through enough of it, I can take it.
I want to give him a family. To help him rebuild Kryptonians as people.
AI just listens, and without a word, opens the Fortress door. Krypto cocks his head in confusion but steps aside. If the Fortress is okay with Bruce being inside, so is he.
Bruce steps inside and goes straight to the lab, heart pounding in his chest. With every step through the crystal corridors, the AI lists the things it's going to do to him to make Bruce's plan possible.
It reminds him of the pain of having his body alternated in such a way.
When AI asks one last time if he consent, Bruce says "yes" without hesitation and already undressed from his suit, lays down on the cold examination table.
His screams of pain fill up the empty Fortress for the next few hours. It's far worse than he expected, but he's stubborn and keeps reminding himself this is for Clark. For both of them.
He knows that when Clark will return he will be horrified about what Bruce's done. Probably angry too.
But Bruce also knows Clark will get over it eventually. Once he realizes how much longer Bruce can now last during sex.
Or when he'll get to hold their baby for the first time.
