i feel like i should make a post saying what my blog is about. i mostly use tumblr on mobile (i know), and mostly i just kinda use it casually, lurking around, and saving/rbing stuff that i like. so don’t expect too much organization or original content here. but the stuff i do make myself, i tag with #made by suna.
i’m (currently) into danmei/bl, which this blog is mostly dedicated to. but again i am a disorganized mess so i will probably like and rb other stuff on here too.
if you know any good gl media set in ancient asia, please please please let me know because i am desperate for it but cannot find it anywhere :C
i consume most danmei in chinese since i grew up in china and am a native speaker, so sometimes i may be confused about the english names of places/things/people’s titles in these works. please be gentle ^_^

i don't care WHO welt gets paired with he needs to clear this. he gave up his childhood to take on the role of a heroic protector immediately after witnessing firsthand the deaths of his father and his important mentor at a young age. he's been alive for over 80 years by now and never once has he strayed from the path he set for himself. he's insanely kind, almost to a fault, and he's saved the whole of humanity on earth more than once. he's died and been reconstructed over and over and he quite literally bears the burden of everyone who lived before him within his own body. welt is the DEFINITION of selfless and he continues to do what's best for the universe as he travels
Aventurine:
The story does such a good job of diving into his character. Initially, he comes off as a cocky gambler that’s always scheming, but he his past is so tragic. He’s blessed with amazing luck, but that luck also brings tragedy. He’s the only one of his clan to survive, he’s enslaved, he falls into the hands of the IPC. Aventurine is not afraid to risk his own life when making his gambles and while he puts on a confident facade, he’s clutching his chips beneath the table. (He makes me cry)
WWX being so determined to be good and abiding by the rules for LWJ's sake, getting up early(ish), drinking his family's bitter medicinal soup (or at least trying), being on his best behaviour so that his uncle wouldn't have an opportunity to criticise him, understanding completely when the juniors were avoiding him and not being upset, being so hungry and bored but only sighing and resigning himself to bearing it cause he didn't want to break the rules and cause LWJ any trouble-
Only for LWJ to wake him up gently in the morning, pamper him and spoil him by bathing and clothing and getting him ready for the day (and "enduring" many kisses in the process) then letting him sleep to his heart's content, refusing to let him suffer on his behalf by forcing himself to eat a bland and boring meal that he really didn't want to, as well cooking a whole delicious spicy meal later just for him so that he wouldn't go to bed hungry and unsatisfied (because he knew WWX had been utterly bored and unentertained throughout the banquet, and he was NOT going to let that stand, and was going to personally make sure that his husband was well fed and happy).
Just the whole chapter being about WWX finally coming to Gusu, and willing to comply and cooperate with the rules of LWJ's family, all for LWJ's sake, only for LWJ to turn around and make sure to show through his own quiet actions that he didn't want WWX to abide by things, however minor they were, that made him unhappy on his behalf. That was the last thing he wanted.
He didn't care about his uncle's nagging and griping, nor about the "righteous" rules of his clan, as much he cared about his husband's happiness and satisfaction.
There's a post going around about something similar about Jiang Yanli. How, in her daily actions of mending, cooking, peeling lotus seeds, and caring for Wei Wuxian, she said that he was her brother. No matter what her household or sect or the world said. Wei Wuxian was her brother, and she proved that in her actions.
I really do love the way MXTX writes that singular, quiet devotion in the people around Wei Wuxian.
They never say it in words, but he hears it all the same.

Why you should vote for each ship underneath the cut!
Rysposito: They're police partners for about 9 years and they always give each other these looks of like "I would marry you if I could" and I believe that they were implied (I THINK) and then basically they were about to die in a fire, and they were like holding each other and cuddling and saying I love you and sappy shit like that and they've been (at least Esposito has) having trouble getting in relationships and then they fall back onto each other and they say sappy shit like "I'll be with you 'til the wheels fall off" and "I'm naming my kid after you" (!!!!) and they're so in love it's annoying that the producers didn't actually go with a canon Rysposito, but then again, the show was made in 2009, so it was less accepted (also the actors talked about wanting their characters to be dating)
Hualian: Literally 800 and some change years. Hua Cheng fell in love with Xie Lian when they were both still mortal, then died and became a ghost, while Xie Lian ascended to godhood, then was banished, ascended a second time, and then banished again. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng were separated after Xie Lian's second banishment, which lasted 800 years. They didn't meet again until Xie Lian ascended to godhood for a third (and final) time (this is where the book/series starts). Then they pined some more, Xie Lian fell in love back, and then after another year of separation after the Big Final Fight against the Big Bad, they could finally be together and get married <3 also during the 800 years Hua Cheng made statues of Xie Lian over and over that he could worship, and so he would remember what his beloved looked like. Other characters find out about this and they're like what the hell kind of obsessive freak..... and Xie Lian is like 😊 <3
i think bichenfucking jokes in this fandom would be a lot funnier if people accepted that no sword of lan wangji's would ever be upset about being inside Wei Ying Hole
idea: since theres the conflicting "read pidw in 20 days" and "following pidw for years", i would ask you to consider the following: shen yuan didnt actually read the book for years, but got really into luo binghe, and gained necessary info about him through osmosis. then he read it proper in 20 days and was so mad he died.

Firstly, I’m beyond grateful that all of our members could finish all the Tokyo performances successfully. Thank you for all of your support that we could finish without fail.
It’s been a year and a half since we had a full performance Tokyo run, the last time being “Augustus” “Cool Beast” performances in May - July 2021. Thank you so much.
It’s because of everyone’s support, so I’m sincerely thankful. Thank you so much.
Also in these days, Flower Troupe members were working on “MAYERLING” as we were slowly embracing Senshuuraku and it was a precious time to be appreciative of. As we read this profound script and face these great challenges, we’ve learnt and acquired much. This was an irreplaceable and important time for us.
And we reached the milestone of having 1 million audience members watching all of the “MAYERLING” performances (since 1983). This was also the 500th time “MAYERLING” was performed. Once again, we’ve received so much of your love and support, and we are very grateful for that. Thank you so much.
Besides, today is also the birthday of Mary Vestera-san in “MAYERLING” played by Hoshikaze. I thought, “What coincidence”. So the Takarazuka Senshuuraku is the memorial day of Rudolf and Mary, the Tokyo Senshuuraku is Mary’s birthday…I thought “how wonderful is this destiny.”
Then for the show “ENCHANTEMENT”. The same for us performers, but when we see the audience and when we all smile together, all of these moments felt such~~ a blessing for me. Performing this performance for the audience was a cheerful, joyful, warm, lovely experience and a show that I love very much. Thank you for your support.
We’ve encountered this experience from the audience, from the performances, from the teachers. Flower Troupe will continue to our best so we hope that everyone could continue to support.
Now with the four graduates, and also Minami Maito-san who will more active in Senka from now on, please continue to support them from now and from May onwards.

Minami Maito
Rei’s always like family to me ever since yokasei times, a presence where we can both inspire each other. My heart always feel grateful for her presence, that’s given (laughs). The Flower Troupe Rei is creating is so fun, delivering the great performances. As a companion who always loves the stage, I’ll fight with her in this together.
Yuzuka Rei
Every year, I’d increasingly think “This person’s really not a man right!?” (laughs), I think (she has) things that remain unchanged since Takarazuka Music School Times. As a Flower Troupe otokoyaku douki, we spend a lot of time together, but we also get to do what we like, and at any moment, we tag along very well instantly, and it’s an interesting relationship to see it.
Summary: Jiang YanLi didn't die on the battlefield.
Wei WuXian still did.
Jiang YanLi reminds Lan WangJi that he has a son and a nephew he can't abandon as he mourns.
Kay's comments: Canon-divergence series in which Jiang Yanli lives (and in later works, so does Wen Qing) and everyone has to deal with it. She becomes Lan Wangji's friend and gets to raise her son. The series is marked as incomplete, but I don't think that should deter anyone from reading, because it's definitely worth a read!
Excerpt: Tears filled his eyes when Jiang YanLi crouched in front of him, her newborn son strapped to her breast.
“Hanguang Jun.”
She pushed the hair out of his face, tucking strands behind his ear to look at him more clearly.
She was supposed to be dead. Her death had been the reason for Wei WuXian giving up.
The confusion must’ve shown in his face. He didn’t care much for controlling his emotions anymore. The ribbon was discarded somewhere.
“My brothers didn’t realise I was still alive after I was stabbed -- a medic found me and brought me back to good health. When I woke, I found out…” She sobbed and Lan WangJi completely understood.
