It's SAD again...

Damn Seasonal Affective Disorder! I was really hoping, that this year it wouldn't happen, but here I am, just wanting to cry for no reason, it just feels sad, gloomy, dank... depressive.

I shouldn't be surprised that it's rearing it's ugly head again this year, considering I've gotten it every year since I can remember. But I don't feel strong enough to deal with it this time. I'm already "regular" depressed, and the rest of my laundry list of disorders... I don't need SAD on top of it all...

FML, I'm so sick of being me.

Side cut to hide/blend/cover my trich-patch?

So I'm thinking about cutting my hair into a side cut. For those of you who don't know what a side cut is, you've probably seen one before but didn't know that's what they're called.

This,

is a side cut... with long hair.

I see these hair cuts everywhere, I liked them at first but then my, I guess you could say, "hipster" side of me hated them once they exploded everywhere, I don't want to be a copy of anyone or have hair like "So & So", unless the comparison is to P!nk maybe. >_< I want one, but I don't want one at the same time because everyone has one. Which is very conflicting, considering it's the only reason I don't want one and the whole reason I'm contemplating it now, is to make my bald spot look less out of place. That doesn't make sense, does it? Is that my BPD screwing with my thoughts? I dunno, either way, if I get a side cut to cover my trich-patch, I will be fulfilling my original desire to have a side cut but at the same time I'll feel like a copy for not getting one because I want one with a burning passion and just wanting to look "normal" instead.

Does any of this make sense? Is it a good idea to get a side cut to blend my pulling patch? I don't know, I have all these conflicting thoughts and can't decide what to do. AND WHAT IF IT MAKES ME PULL SOMEWHERE ELSE! OMG... I don't know what to do with myself.

I'm not an insomniac, but it's easier to say I am.

I don't sleep like a normal person, I rarely get to sleep before 4am and I don't usually sleep for more than 4 hours, unless I've had this sleep pattern for a week or more.

This is not insomnia, even though I tag most of my sleepless posts as Insomnia/Insomniac. I am not an insomniac, if I was I would never sleep, for days at a time. My sleep disorder is called Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder (DSPD), but since no one knows what this is, it's easier to explain myself as an insomniac to those who sleep like a normal person.

I really hope this sleep disorder gains some awareness and more people learn about it, so I don't have to explain it or just say I'm an insomniac to save time & a headache. It's not fair to those who actually suffer from insomnia, it's a completely different sleep disorder than my own and I feel like I'm hurting their disorder by claiming it as my own.

Now when people have one restless night they claim insomnia, when there are people who haven't slept for a week, being driven mad by their sleep disorder.

I'm not one to ask people to reblog my posts, but if you see this, and can either related as an Insomniac or a suffer of DSPD and are tired of people using the illness as an adjective or not understanding your illness please reblog and help spread awareness of these serious yet very different Sleep Disorders. Share your sleep disorder story too, help spread awareness and understanding.
