this page is run by dearest (adult) and when in headspace little dearest (regressor- age varies but will not be specified)

dearest drabbles is the agere page made by a regressor in need of some comfort who occasionally creates comforting things of their own- this space is intended to be sfw at all times and is in no way associated with nsfw connotations surrounding regression- please be mindful that this space is meant to be safe and inclusive with comfort as its main objective.

“What’s that?” Natsume asked in a small voice as he peeked out from where he had been resting his head against Rei’s lap, cuddled in the soft quilt Shu had made for him.

 

Rei followed the little’s gaze as it fell upon Wataru’s frame, delicately taking their spot on the couch and reaching for the red string from the multicolored packaging. Wataru smiled, their violet eyes met two adorably curious onlookers as they wordlessly connected the open end of the red material to the nozzle of the handheld air pump.

 

Natsume’s eyes widened, and he sat up, scooting himself closer to Rei while maintaining his view of the show before him as Wataru carefully transformed what had been an ordinary string only seconds agp into something much more magical.

Sticking their tongue out in an attempt to better concentrate, the solid comfort of Rei’s laugh nearly caused the ear of Wataru’s creation to wilt, but the magician was well practiced, and before Natsume knew it outstretched hands presented him a small, red balloon animal.

 

“A little kitten for our little kitten!” Wataru declared with a pleased smile as Natsume graciously accepted the gift, holding it in the air for Rei to see.

 

“Thank you, ‘Taru” Natsume managed after a gentle nudging from the vampire behind him, and Rei too gave his thanks as the cat was passed between them.

Wataru began reaching for another balloon when Natsume pawed for them, “May kitten have a friend, please?” the redhead nearly whispered, eyeing the turquoise-colored balloon in Wataru’s hand.

 

“Of course they may, little red!” Wataru assured as they continued to inflate the next balloon.

Rei wrapped a comforting arm around Natsume’s frame, tucking him against himself while leaving room for them both to watch as more balloon animals were skillfully crafted and placed on the table. A bluebird for Wataru, a bat for Rei, a bunny for Shu, and a fish for Kanata all soon joined Natsume’s kitten on the coffee table, small reminders of the magical memories the five have shared together and a glimpse into all of the magic that has yet to be made!

happy birthday, natsume!

media: ensemble stars (anime specific)

natsume is a regressor we hold incredibly dear and we have been writing lots of rambles and headcanons for him since we watched (and rewatched) element parts 1 & 2! while we don’t have a longer fic planned for today we hope you’ll enjoy some birthday related silliness and soft drabbles to celebrate enstars “little kitten”

rei and wataru are natsume’s primary carers with shu and kanata stand in babysitters from time to time! all five eccentrics make plans to celebrate natsume’s birthday in big and small ways~

wataru shows natsu a new magic trick and reads him as many stories as natsume asks of him, even getting the other eccentrics to join in with silly voices and theatrics!

rei gifts natsu a soft blanket and a cd of lullabies he recorded for him!

kanata gifts natsu a plushie!! we’re thinking maybe a red starfish or multicolor cat plush!

shu gifts natsu a series of outfits he made for the plushie kanata gifted him, and a multi-flavored baked good that natsume mentioned he wanted to try!

natsume’s birthday is celebrated differently when he’s a member of the five eccentrics and when he’s with switch~ and maybe another time we’ll write about his how trio unit celebrates, but in the meantime the five oddballs take all birthdays very seriously but especially natsume’s, taking every chance they get to spoil the little as much as they can!

birthday plans happen months in advance with surprises, games, stories and five-eccentrics silliness all part of the fun! whether it’s surprising natsume with a visit from all four of his unit mates or each one sharing a bit of birthday magic natsume is shown that he is loved and celebrated always!!

natsume is a kitten/toddler regressor

each eccentric has gifted him something that he cherishes/holds dear when he’s regressed (kanata for the plushie, rei for the blanket)

shu bakes the cake but wataru insists on decorating it!

the days leading up to natsume’s birthday is a day for each eccentric to spend time showering the regressor with gifts and other goodies that their schedule otherwise wouldn’t have time for~ and as with all birthdays they bring natsume and his old friends back together again, which makes the little kittens heart oh so very happy.

these rambles are a bit scattered, but they felt together enough for us to want them out in the world~ we love natsume and hope that his birthday was as magical as he is!

xylo fobartz is a caregiver!

media: sentenced to be a hero! (2025)

we’ve recently caught up with the ongoing series “sentenced to be a hero” and have felt from the start that xylo would be a wonderful caregiver! a bit huffy on the outside he has a big heart and cares deeply for those in his care!

with his role as a hero xylo has learned to perfect the art of napping! whether he’s reading a bedtime story or expertly swaddling little ones in their favorite blankets xylo does all he can to help those he cares for get the best rest they can!

xylo is also incredibly resourceful, and often makes gifts, toys and tells stories using otherwise ordinary items! he’s quite good at making shadow puppets or telling stories!

xylo is quite knowledgeable and doesn’t mind (well most of the time) lots of questions and is always willing to find the answer to the few things he doesn’t know- he takes his little ones questions quite seriously!

as of right now (there’s only four episodes) we’d say that xylo is the primary caregiver for taoritta and dotta! we’ll probably revisit that as we learn more about them!

music to mama’s ears

agere rambles | enstars | comfort | leo | madara (referred to as madara but mainly mama)

leo and mama both regress! leo is a baby and kitten regressor and mama is a toddler regressor!

leo is a sibling carer to his friends and unit but he gets a little fuzzy when it comes to taking care of himself, but not to fear mama’s always near!

mama’s safe/comfort foods are also his favorite foods, so it’s not too tricky to have something for snack time! mama also looks out for any nearby coffee when leo’s little knowing that his baby gets extra anxious with caffeine!

leo calls madara “mama or “mada” depending on how tiny he is/if he’s nonverbal or not! mama rarely lets anyone care for him when he’s small, but he calls those who do care for them by their names!

mama regresses after too much alone time, while leo regresses with too much time spent with others!

leo can regress for hours or days at a time, especially if mama’s taking care of him! mama regresses for shorter periods or before/after naps!

mama loves taking care of any regressors who share their small side with him, and tries to keep a softer voice when reading stories or singing lullabies! when mama’s tiny, he’s also pretty quiet!

leo ranges from being nonverbal when in baby-headspace to being hyper and talkative when in kitten/toddler space.

mama bought/buys most of leo’s little items as gifts for when he can’t be there to take care of him! leo bought mama a plushie that is his most cherished/ only little item.

oh this guy… this guy right here… he’s caregiver coded

he’s also regressor coded but we have to watch more of the media he’s from to get into that….

he’s a good caregiver to show what it means to be an “imperfect” caregiver, he’s not always going to have the right words to say or know exactly what to do when you/those in his care regress, but that doesn’t mean he’s not trying,, or that he’s being malicious it just means that he’s trying his best! and i think that’s really cool <3

• he’s great with stories, the ones you tell by the fireside or use your hands to make little shadow animals for… it’s amazing the animals he can come up with

• he’s insistent he’s not much of a singer but if you/those in his care ask him nicely enough he will sing a childhood lullaby of his and without fail you’ll both be asleep in minutes

• he is really soft with physical affection, letting you/those in his care hold his hand or hide against his chest when they need a hug (he gives really warm hugs)

* i use “imperfect” here because as he learns to be a caregiver he may make little mixups like offering you/those in his care an adult drink when you’re/they’re really asking for a bottle of milk or juice… or maybe he teases you/those in his care a little before realizing he’s making them go small- he’ll feel awful and try to make things right as soon as he can but that’s what i mean when i say “imperfect” i really just mean “human”…

[bonus] you/those in his care call him “teddy” as the caregiving title of choice, since he is (at least to me) very bear coded

⋆｡°✩ gojo has the kiddos make christmas lists to santa, and of course makes sure that his santa outfit still fits every time december rolls around

⋆｡°✩ gojo takes lots of pride in his ugly sweater collection… and has + most certainly wear them out and about, even if the kiddos find it to be a little cheesy

⋆｡°✩ geto hand sews nanako and mimiko’s names onto their stockings

⋆｡°✩ geto always pays attention to what gifts the girls want, and lets them each open one gift early (and perhaps their stockings too!)

⋆｡°✩ geto loves to make holiday meals and test new recipes around special occasions, taking lots of pride and joy from his loved one’s reactions to his cooking!

⋆｡°✩ geto is a snowflake making ICON, and can make some of the most beautiful snowflakes anyone’s ever seen

⋆｡°✩ both families get together to send out christmas cards, the cards are simple, and only go out to a handful of their close friends, but the picture on the front could melt snow with its heartwarming energy!

⋆｡°✩ gojo is always a late sleeper on holidays, geto wakes up early to make their families a holiday breakfast and eventually wakes them all up to enjoy a home-cooked meal together

⋆｡°✩ the kiddos all work together to get their carers one medium sized gift they can share, and of course each one writes their own little note to go along with it

⋆｡°✩ without fail, no matter how busy their schedules are the two carers always make time to take the kiddos to see the holiday lights and enjoy the winter festival!

⋆｡°✩ suguru is always having to hold the bag of marshmallows and help satoru pour them into his hot chocolate because he knows how much his little one enjoys sweets

⋆｡°✩ satoru gives his caregiver lots of gifts regardless of the season, but tends to give suguru more thoughtful/ practical gifts, like baking supplies and cute mugs!

the brilliantly talented wataru hibiki who collects various hobbies and talents to share with the little doves in his care,,,

when rei regresses he can sometimes have trouble sleeping, which prompts the ever enchanting wataru to do some intense research into lullabies and calming music,, leading his caregiver to purchase a kalimba- songs and snuggles ensue

after a particularly long day rei finds himself in the doorway of his blue-haired beloved, his eyes drifting to the instrument he’s playing with. “that sounds nice..” rei compliments, gently bringing himself closer and sitting on the bed. wataru hums, his tongue sticking out showing his focus on the matter “you think so?” wataru asks after a moment, looking up warmly at the very tired vampire.

rei mumbles out an agreeing sound, shifting himself by his carers side. wataru can't help but smile as he cards his hands through rei's soft hair before he returns to the tiny instrument in his hand- not without a soft whine from his little bat,, "i know sweetness" wataru reassures as he finally thinks of a melody to play "i'm here, i'm here, focus on the music my love, can you do that for me precious?" wataru coaxes gently as his fingers start to play one of rei's favorite tunes. within seconds rei is clinging to his carers side as his eyelids fluttering with every note "you can rest darling, i'm here- i'll always be here sweetheart" wataru coos softly over the music, his words having quick effect on the vampire as by the time wataru's finished the first piece rei's cuddled up and fallen into a deep, song filled sleep beside him.

wataru smiles to himself, gently placing the kalimba on his nightstand and pulling the blankets over the pair "goodnight little moon, rest well" he says as he too flutters into a peaceful sleep of his own....

suguru got satoru a cinnamoroll plush for when he’s small NO satoru got suguru a cinnamoroll plush for when he’s small because suguru once was itty-bitty and kept babbling “blue” like satoru’s eyes,, and satoru’s heart knew that his baby needed a bit of blue with him for the moments that the two weren’t together, and so the sgsg stuffie saga began

caregiver rei:

feels very deeply for everyone in his care and it means a lot to him to be trusted with looking after them

a very sleepy carer, loves taking naps together and getting comfy in sensory friendly pj’s (he loves when those in his care lay on his chest)

loves a good lullaby or simply humming a tune he’s working on for his unit or just stuck in his head

can be a bit of a worrier!! he’ll do his best to come see those in his care if he has a feeling they’re going to slip or is asked for by a friend

caregiver wataru:

a very patient papa he is always there to reassure you and guide those in his care through headspace

can be a bit loud for some regressors and is always learning how to be softer with the younger and more sensory sensitive regressors in his care

has a true talent for storytelling, he loves to tell stories he’s made up or watch the different expressions of his little ones as they flip through a pop-up book together

knows how to make some pretty silly drawings that are always sure to brighten those in his cares day

has a busy schedule and it breaks his heart not to be with those he cares for when they regress and he’s often been found skipping personal sessions just to stay with a stressed little one

regressor eichi:

tends to regress in the single digits and when he’s stressed or sick he’s the smallest little baby regressor

can be a bit stubborn about his regression and it takes a lot of cooing from his caregivers to get him to slip

feels a lot of feelings when small and when he’s really little he has a tendency to scare easily

very clingy especially when it comes to his papa, but the plus of having two carers is that the little one is never left alone (at least not for too long)

in his tiniest headspace he tends to go nonverbal and let his caregivers baby and care for him

loves angel milk and soft sweets (not a fan of loud sounds or crunchy textures)

there is something very dear about the notion that taller carers (kunikida, for example) carry those in their care around with them when they can- perhaps the regressors request, perhaps simply a way to let the carer continue about whatever small tasks they were busy with without having to forgo any seconds with the sweet little thing in their care- perhaps this will become a longer blurb with some other characters at some other time, but for now it’s a wonderful start don’t you think?

caregiver zhongli drabble today (＾◡＾)

i love caregiver zhongli dearly, however, knowing how humorous his handling of mora can be i’d like to think that he “spoils” those in his care with gifts that are truly from his heart. his wealth of knowledge makes him an automatically gifted storyteller, sharing stories true and fictive his voice is sure to help even the most hesitant regressors to slip or fall asleep. when it comes to making things he attempts a few small soft toys and blanket squares, and perhaps trades with friends and fellow carers for the materials and things he’s unable to make (yet), and for the regressors whose headspace is comfortable with it, zhongli is delighted to take them on outings to the liyue harbor or retreat in the comfort of the wangshu inn. all and all zhongli adores spending time with those he cares for, and is always elated to be the cause of their joy!

doppo kunikida is known for being a man of many words, so when it comes to pet names he works with those in his care to find one that’s suitable for him as the carer and the regressor- he makes it fun by making a game out of it, perhaps making a chart of possible names and giving the regressor stickers to express which ones they like/don’t… of course in the hands of certain small ones the stickers go everywhere but the sticker sheet… but in the end all parties involved have given lots of giggles and lots of thought to the terms of endearment they have chosen!

some pet names i like (⌒‿⌒)

general name for kuni as a caregiver: “papa” and occasionally his first name “doppo”

general names for regressors in his care: “sweet thing”, “little one”, “hun”, “love”

…. i’d like to make a more inclusive list of pet names which covers more fandoms & characters, but this is as great a place to start as any- hugs!

sgsg first time regressing around each other (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡

gojo: it happened when he returned back from a mission- a particularly tiring one, and was greeted with one of those unmistakably comfy hugs geto provided- the reunion and his exhaustion made it easy to slip so quickly, and with a little less shame then if he’d had to walk his partner through the ins and outs of things, but suguru was always good at learning by doing.

geto: it happened when he let his hair down, nevermind the reason- gojo quick to comb his fingers through it, wrapping strands around his fingers as he went along- his hands were so soft and inviting- coupled with the forehead kisses from time to time satoru managed to sneak between giggles and sweet nothings there was an undeniable fuzziness he felt must’ve been what his partner had described as regression- he slipped slower, taking the time to savor the smaller headspace as it overcame him, and acknowledge that he too deserved to be taken care of.

kunikida the beloved carer that he is,,, definitely sent the crayon company a note about how there are crayons that are labeled as different colors but draw the same as others,, he can’t understand why the “yellow” and “green-yellow” crayons are supposed to be different when they color the same- and spends far too much time investigating this…. those in his care don’t seem to mind, it’s honestly quite amusing to see papa get so invested in something so silly
