“my headcanon is…” i say about the canon that i made about my own characters

I once had a headcanon about two original characters that were part of one of my now unfinished story ideas. They were two hobbits called Marigold Proudfoot and Daisy Bracegirdle. Marigold was being romanced by Peregrin Took, but Marigold's father Bulgar Proudfoot wouldn't agree to their wishes to get married due to Bulgar not seeing Peregrin as being good enough for his daughter. Now, in the story, I wrote that Marigold had been having some doubts about her betrothal to Peregrin for some time due to her secret feelings for another hobbit, namely Daisy Bracegirdle.

One of the initial headcanons that I had about Marigold and Daisy was that much later when Peregrin was betrothed to another hobbit, who wasn't Marigold, that on the day of the new betrothals announcement, Marigold finds herself crossing paths with her secret love Daisy. Then she admitted her feelings to Daisy, only to find that Daisy was secretly pining for Marigold too. But they weren't fully aware of of how deep their love ran and decided to begin as friends instead. Eventually Daisy and Marigold grew closer and got married on the day after the big Shire wedding of my stories two main couples, Frodo and Samwise, and Fem!Bilbo and Thorin Oakenshield. So it would have ended happily for the two original characters and old Bulgar died sometime in the story, allowing Daisy and Marigold to marry.
