Now, it’s not as if Davey has a crush. They’ve never even met. Jack has no idea who he is. Davey follows him on Instagram, but so do hundreds of thousands of other people, because Jack is talented, charismatic beyond belief, and one of the top contenders to bring home a gold medal for America this year. They don’t actually know each other at all… but Davey supposes he could be considered a bit of a fan.

davey jacobs is the captain of the US men’s national water polo team. he’s been training practically his entire life for this moment, his first ever olympic games, so he can’t afford any distractions. especially not one as pretty and charming as jack kelly: world-champion diver, olympic silver medal holder, davey’s longtime pseudo-celebrity crush, and his newly assigned olympic village roommate.
