Please pray for my grandma, whom I am a caretaker for. She has dementia, which is the usual, but she has came down with symptoms of sepsis after an infection.
Pray for me, as I navigate this, and the possibility of losing my grandma.

Prayer Request.
I have officially been diagnosed with PCOS. This would answer a lot of questions that I’ve had though it still isn’t great to hear. I’ve long suspected that I’m infertile in some capacity, this has simply confirmed my suspicions.
Prayers would be greatly appreciated. I’m not exactly sure for what. Healing. Understanding. Patience. Reliance. This diagnosis gets me one step closer to better understanding myself and how to better manage my issues.
January 8th, 2026 | Days on campus are never productive ones, but I feel like I'm slowly gaining back my attention span.
The “was Jesus born in December” issue is incredibly simple.
Zechariah went into the Temple for the Feast of Tabernacles, which falls in late September to early October. Assuming it was the beginning of the feast, Zechariah finds out Elizabeth will conceive in lat September.
Elizabeth was 6 months pregnant when Mary was visited by Gabriel, putting the Annunciation in March.
9 months from March is December.
You don’t need to know anything about pagan rituals or early church councils. You just need to know when Zechariah would have gone into the Temple.
I have a question, how do we know the months of when this happened? Just curious. Thanks!
The Feast of Tabernacles occurs during the Jewish month of Tishrei, which coincides with late September/early October.
Also, I’m seeing some sources that say the “sixth month” corresponds to Adar, which corresponds to February-March, and Luke 1:26 says Gabriel appeared to Mary in “the sixth month.” This could also mean the sixth month after Gabriel appeared to Elizabeth, since that’s what the verse before was about.
I was today years old when I learned this.
I have just learned of the death of my friend's infant daughter. Please keep the whole family in your prayers as they navigate this unimaginable grief, thank you.
It's been mentioned elsewhere so I'm repeating this; maybe don't vote for the people who are trying to bring about the "end times."
Please pray for my dad. He's having an episode with his dementia that is causing him to lash out at family even more than what's usual, and it's really putting my mom through the wringer.
They're supposed to be moving into my neighborhood by the end of this month so she has some support.
catholic guilt vs protestant belief in your own inherent superiority, fight
wait no I just remembered a few hundred years of history I take this post back
Today was a dark day, the kind of scary, bleak, hopeless mental pit where I can't imagine ever feeling a drop of happiness or hope, ever again--and then it started lifting, a few hours ago. Why? I don't know. I don't know why it was so bad today, I don't know why it's better now, I don't understand any of it and maybe I never will.
Thank you all for bearing with me, your prayers and messages and love. Thank you so, so much.
Praying for you
Hey everyone, can you offer up prayers for my mom? She’s going through a lot and I worry she’s holding in a lot more than she lets on. Thank you.
The Divine Mercy image in Byzantine aesthetic.
—
Ironically enough it was at the church that offers Latin Mass everyday in my area.
Forgive my ignorance but is Divine Mercy a strictly Novus Ordo devotion or something? I know it was begun (in the form it is now) post-Vatican II, but I didn't know the Divine Mercy devotion was something trads were against
Read that it was banned by the Vatican in 1959 and was only unbanned on April 15 1978 after pressure from future pope John paul II.
I know a lot of trads don’t seem to like JP2 … not sure
There is bondage in feeling as if you are continually "missing the mark." Performance-oriented people experience difficulty resting in God, which is linked to God's grace. We can spend many years believing that God is disappointed in us if we didn't quite measure up to His standards.
God knows we will never be perfect. He does not desire perfection due to our own strength for that would be "deserved favor." Grace is undeserved favor. The Lord desires for us to know that He is daily perfecting us through His divine grace. To believe that "it is up to us and our own ability to become transformed" is to believe that "the finished work at the Cross was not effective". Jesus Himself was perfect and, therefore, we are blessed and empowered to live holy THROUGH Him.
Sometimes I remember that time a fox news show tried to bring a priest on to ask him "What are your thoughts on the war on Christmas?" And he immediately responded like "I don't think there's a war on Christmas, anyway while I'm on tv let me talk about how the commercialization of Christmas is bad and un-christian" and the pundits had to just sit there and let him talk because what were they gonna do? Yell at a priest?
Stop saying Catholics worship Mary and the saints, we don’t. Meanwhile there’s actual heretics out there who perform saint worship in witchcraft and I ain’t see y’all bitch at them yet.
