So I love all of FMA’s “it’s clever when it’s not in English” naming. Riza “The Hawk’s Eye” Hawkeye. The Strong Arm Alchemist, Alexander Louis Armstrong. Ruler of the nation, King Bradley–first name King, last name Bradley.

And you know, that “King Bradley” name is a strong contender for most ridiculous in-your-face naming but that’s not actually the worst of Bradley’s name. What’s worse is that he’s “Fuhrer President King Bradley”, because he’s literally got three titles in his name that all mean “Ruler” literally three of them but even that is not the worst part about Fuhrer President King Bradley’s name.

You see the worst part about this name is that he goes by “Fuhrer”. You know, the German word for “Leader”, pronounced “fyur-ur”, same as “Furor”.

I have been out as queer for over a decade but am only finally dating another queer person and?? It’s so nice??? The shared experience of growing up queer (with shared religious shit on top of that) makes me feel understood from the start in a way I haven’t felt before. And they like smooching me too?! What’s the catch???

Like I am a full 32 years old and am just now going through this realization I know most people have already experienced by this point in life but like damn okay I get it now. It actually is so wonderful to be seen and accepted, and it’s actually possible?? It’s not all just a lie we tell ourselves to get through each day it can happen in real life!!

And like even if/when this doesn’t work out, I’m just really grateful I know it’s possible to feel like this. Like holy shit it actually DOES get better??? That wasn’t just a slogan? That’s wild.
