Tips to Get your Sh*t Together
Hi guys! School has been making me really stressed out these days, with school work and leadership responsibilities, but I managed to free up some time to make this post about something I feel many of us are striving to do: getting our life in shape.
Throughout the years, I have garnered the knowledge and experience on dealing with certain things so I decided that I would want to share it with you guys as a form of a free stepping stone to get your sh*t together.
Due note that most of the things stated will take some time and effort to fully implement. These tips can be considered "skills" to some.
Plan, Plan, Plan
Shudder. The thought of having to actually plan things still haunts me in my dreams. But, it is really important. Personally, I am quite a decent planner, but I am actually really bad at following it hehe. Anyways, planning can actually help you really SEE what are the tasks that are needed to be done, a bonus if you can actually follow through the entire thing!
Organise your working area
I feel like such a hypocrite as currently, my study table is in such a huge mess. Istg every single time I clean it, it gets messy all over again SMH. Anyways, this tip is actually from my mom. This might not help for everyone, but it may help you. When you clean up your workand area, not only will it look neat, clean and you can actually see the table top, your mind will feel at peace since you're not stressing out trying to find where you placed that goddamn document.
Enforce self-discipline
I'm still... Working on it haha. It pretty much means that you need to stop procrastinating and start doing your assignment. One thing I tend to do like.. 90% of the time, is that I would constantly push back the time I would actually start doing my studying or my school homework. At first I would say, "3 o'clock I will start," then once it reaches 3, I would push it back by 30 minutes. Sigh. But really, when you have self-discipline and do what you REALLY need to do first, you won't have to suffer from attempting to do all your work last minute. While I tend to do my work generally fine last minute, I absolutely hate the feeling of regret from not doing at least some of them earlier. If I did, I could be able to play my video games...
Goals!
This ties in with the first one. It is not recommended to jump straight down head first without seeing where the heck you are going. When you make goals for yourself, you are sort of setting the benchmark for your expectations of yourself. You are setting the end point. It can be as simple as cleaning your bed in the morning, to something extravagant like building a charity foundation to help the poor and needy. As long as it is something you are striving to achieve.
I hope these tips would be able to that small lightbulb in the dark for your life, and help motivate you to succeed and get your life together. These tips applies to everyone regardless of your personality, of course you can tweak it here and there to suit yourself better. Anyway, I need to sleep now so see ya.
