Had a write a sonnet for English class and I lowkey can’t stop thinking about it
wait lowkey does any1 wanna read it I'm so proud of it lmao
Ok for context we read Julius Caesar and we had to write a sonnet from the perspective of one of the people present for Caesar's death about how they felt about it. So this is Caesar dying.
Amongst thine eyes, my trepid aspect's muse
In line, mine own reflect thine heartened smile.
O' smile which be aglow with fate's enthuse
Mine eyes do bear my witness of thine guile.
Sting of deception in my chest- O' burn
O' horrid man, o' blade of bloodied steel-
Thine vicious kinsmen, for them I near mine eterne,
Touched by their profane and fervored zeal.
Alas, I see mine end- Glimmering alongside
those heroes great- foretold by prophets young.
streets you enshroud with shames, withhold, I bide
Withhold your reckless cold abandon's tongue.
As mine blood pours from thine dark knife,
You ruin to thine name. Thus, end my life.
