◦I'm an urban planning student with a fascination for terrible American infrastructure, architecture, and economics. Suburbs, strip malls, oil refineries, corporate lobbyists, highways, office buildings (esp the Twin Towers...), presidents, private equity, consumerism...you name it!
◦Because I'm so interested in America's failings, I am also interested in finding solutions to them. I believe that our economic system, which rewards profit and growth regardless of how it was achieved, is to blame for a lot of our current issues. At the local level, we need to become more involved in our communities and civic engagement, and at the state and federal level, our government needs to prioritize the public good over corporate interests.
◦I am currently studying to become an urban planner, and I want to use my career to expand passenger rail and affordable housing in the United States.
◦Outside of urban planning and economics, I also love drawing, painting, sewing, and piano!
◦I'm autistic and have OCD so I post about that on here too. Minor tw for discussions of dermatillomania and body dysmorphia.
