sorry. sorry. if I start thinking about the actual Concept of The Way Home for more than 10 seconds it makes me tear up. the thought of getting to spend time with your family when they were your age or relatives that passed away before you ever came into this world is so heartbreakingly beautiful. imagine getting to spend time with your grandfather in his prime and getting to see him as a teenager. imagine watching your grandparents fall in love in real time. imagine knowing your mom before she ever became your mom. how magical that would be. how it would ease the ceaseless passage of time just slightly. the concept of the pond itself will always make me cry because it shows how important people are and how we are nothing without those who came before us.

I started watching this show a few months after my mom passed away and... Well, it helped me to heal a little. I daydreamed about me jumping into the pond and spending some more time with her. ❤️
