Warning: minor swearing and torture that we already knew about..?
You hurt me. You hurt my friends.
You've been with the Resistance since that day. Ben, now Kylo Ren, miraculously made it out, and Master Luke exiled himself to maker-knows-where.
You were currently on a mission with Commander Dameron on the dreadful planet of Jakku. You were to find a man by the name of Lor San Tekka, who was holding the map to Master Luke.
You were to stand guard outside with BB-8 and BB-6 while Poe got the information. You had a bad feeling about this.
"This will begin to make things right. I've travelled too far and seen too much to ignore the despair in the Galaxy. Without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the force." The man said to Poe.
"Well, because of you, now we have a chance. The general's been after this for a very long time." Poe replied.
"Oh the general? To me, she's royalty." San Tekka spoke.
"Well she certainly is that."
As the men were speaking, you noticed something in the distance. Ships; First Order ships to be exact, and they were landing here. You and the two droids went off to inform Poe while you still could.
"Commander! We have company!" You exclaimed. You and Poe darted off, going for your x-wings.
"Let's go, BB-6, we need to get out of here!" You said to your droid as he was preparing the ship. As the ship lights were coming on and the engine was roaring, two Stormtroopers started toward the ships, firing at both.
Poe fired back at them with the ship's blasters, killing them. The two of you got out to check the ships, both too damaged to fly.
He got down on his knee and pulled out a sack, holding what you assumed was the map, and inserted it into BB-8.
"It's safer with you than it is with me. The three of you get as far away from here as you can. Do you hear me?" He ordered.
"I'm not leaving you to handle this alone, Dameron," You started "BB-6, you and BB-8 get out if here. We'll come back for you. It'll be alright."
You could tell Poe was annoyed that you were disobeying orders, but he didn't have time to argue. Poe used his blaster rifle to shoot any troopers coming your way.
You felt a presence. One you haven't felt in years; one you didn't want to remember. You knew who was in the shuttle that was just now landing, but his arrival didn't stop you from fighting back, it gave you more of a reason to fight. You blocked incoming shots with your lightsaber while Poe continued firing.
The shuttle's door opened and a tall, dark figure exited. It was, in fact, Kylo Ren. The man you used to adore. But you didn't have time to think of that now as he walked towards Lor San Tekka.
The two bantered for what seemed like hours. But as you saw Ren ignite his saber, you knew what the outcome was going to be. The knight ripped the saber down across San Tekka.
Poe ran out and fired at the man, but was frozen along with the blast. He tried to move, but couldn't, then was grabbed by Stormtroopers that dragged him towards Ren.
As Poe began talking, you jumped out from your spot, igniting your saber and striking down as many Stormtroopers as possible before you were frozen as well. Kylo walked away from Poe and towards you.
"Y/F/N Y/L/N. It's been a while." He said, probably smirking. You spat at his helmet.
"Fuck. You." You hissed. He lifted his hand to your head, and you fell unconscious in his arms.
"Put him on board." He ordered the Stormtroopers while carrying you himself.
"Sir, the villagers?" An all-chrome 'trooper asked.
You woke up cuffed to an incredibly uncomfortable metal chair. All you heard was your Commander, your best friend, screaming in pain while being tortured by your ex-boyfriend. Tears welled up in your eyes as you realized the two of you would most likely be executed after this.
Everything fell silent, the only sound being your breathing, until the door opened and the figure stomped towards you. You glared up at the man, thoroughly repulsed by his actions.
"You changed your hair." He finally spoke.
"Let us go and I might let you live." You growled back.
"So much anger, so much hate, yet you refuse to give yourself fully to the darkness," he began as he put his hand to your head, trying to dig through your memories. "And all of this hatred is pointed towards me?"
"You seem surprised." You managed to say through the pain. It felt like someone was repeatedly beating you with a bat. He tried digging, tried breaking down your mental walls. He failed.
"Join me. Join me, and you'll live." He offered.
"I'll never join you. I'd just as soon carve my eyes out." You snapped. Your response must have angered him greatly, making him stomp out of the room.
Not too long later you heard the door reopen.
"No, Y/N, it's me. We have a way out of this." Poe spoke. A Stormtrooper came around and unlocked your restraints and handed you your lightsaber.
"We don't have a lot of time, we need to hurry." The man spoke. You got out of the chair and he grabbed your right arm and Poe's left, guiding you towards the main hangar.
It was a tight squeeze and sitting on your friend's lap was kind of awkward, but if it meant living another day, it was worth it.
The two men talked while dodging and shooting down TIE Fighters. Finn, formerly known as FN-2187, cheered as he shot them down.
Then you were hit, and before you knew it, you were crash landing on Jakku.
