I will always reblog this.
I once spent three hours scouring the internet to find this comic again, I will not let that be repeated.

Just so y'all know, thereâs more lol
I did that job once.
What are your pronouns and would you like to join my union
i love how this is always showing up on my dash entirely free of the context that the oodâs response to this question is âthe beast shall rise from the pit and make war against godâ
why ppl leave things in jesus hands knowing he got holes in them, is beyond me
shakespeare was so funny for that scene where the antagonist tells the protagonist âlet the record show that i AM into women THAT BEING SAID holy shit, thou mars, seeing you here is like an even better version of my wedding night. like WAY better. iâve been dreaming about you every night for years, and in my dreams we take off each otherâs armor and beat each other to a pulp and i wake up all hot and sticky đâ

holy shit i didnât even realize today is st. georgeâs day. happy birthday + deathday to mr. william shakespeare, who has been gone for 410 slutty, slutty years
Random thing for people to consider is that since Laika is the saint of one way trips should Felicette be known as the saint of safe landings since she did make it back to the ground safely
tu LANCES félicette ? tu lances son corps comme la fusée ? oh ! oh ! prison pour les scientifiques ! prison pour les scientifiques pendant Un Mille Ans !
You can understand the French perfectly fine with only context but the English translation I got still had me floored
Gomez and Morticia Addams got divorced. I woke up mortified and with a sense of inexplicable dread.
you literally donât need any other plot and i would watch the movie
Every 'normal' adult is fussing around Pugsley and Wednesday because "poor children that must be so hard for you to see mom and dad break up like this"
But the kid are absolutely unfazed, arguing that "it's alright they will be together again soon". The normie are so sad for the "children clinging to vain hopes" until Morticia and Gomez get married again two weeks after the divorce.
In the meantime Mama and Uncle Fester fight about which one of them will go to whose custody.
They pretend to argue in court and at meeting with lawyers over the splitting of the properties but that's mostly Gomez insisting to leave more and more thing to his wife in an angry voice.
At home they decided not to talk to each other so Lurch has to (begrudgingly) transmit messages from one to the other, even when they are sat on either side of the table.
That works (more or less) then Morticia says one word in french and Gomez run to cover her with kisses until Morticia remind him that they are spliting (that's the only moment he seems to regret the whole thing)
This. All of this.
Wednesday offers to help with split custody of Pugsley. her suggestion involved a big table saw
They fight over who gets to hire the expensive big-firm lawyer and who gets to hire the up-and-coming rookie divorce lawyer. It's a whole Thing.
The up and coming lawyer is Thing?
Thing wins the case
it's actually started because Thing just passed the bar exam and no one will hire Thing
Tumblr does one thing better than any other site on the internet, and that's collaborative fan fiction.
fake Goncharov fans donât even realize that Scorsese did NOT direct the 1973 cult classic. he was executive producer. đ€Šââïž
The actual director is Natted JWHJ0715, and they deserve credit!!!
It's Matteo JWHJ0715!!!!! Very talented director (italian mother, license plate father)
How does it feel? I don't know, I...
obsessed with the Helena and Irving parallel and what it says about the aspects of our identity we think are fundamental (but aren't)...
Like Outie Irving assumes his Innie is just as radically anti-Lumon as he is. He assumes his hatred of Lumon is something ingrained in his personality! That's why he stays up at night drinking coffee and making paintings, because he hopes that when his innie dreams about the testing floor, he'll say "okay bet" and start exploring. That's what Outie Irving would do, after all. But he miscalculated! His hatred of Lumon isn't inherent--- his desire for meaning and art and spirituality is inherent. That's what his hatred for Lumon is built on. But in a world where there's no meaning outside of Lumon propaganda, of COURSE his innie would become ridiculously devoted to the company.
And Helena!! She is the corporation, that's her whole identity. She presumably assumed that Helly would be just as pro-Lumon as she is. But she miscalculated too! Her devotion to the company isn't inherent, her headstrong and entitled nature is what's inherent! And in a world where she's denied any agency whatsoever, that manifests as rebellion.
It's the same dynamic flipped on its head. They both sent their innies in there with opposite intentions--- one to take down the company, one feed the company's expansion--- only to realize that rebellion and devotion aren't inherent characteristics. Their innies have become the exact opposite of their outie selves, while still being exactly the same!! Because even though your personality is inherent, the values you hold are determined circumstantially. OUGH IT'S SO GOOD.
Look. Look Iâm not reading as much fanfic as I used to.
But in case any young people out there need to hear this- it is very normal for gay people to just. take turns. For a lot of the stuff. That some of you. Seem to think are static, binariatic, opposing personality traits.
ngl some of yall treat âtopâ and âbottomâ like theyâre god given roles or immutable personality traits and not just like. where their body happens to be in relation to someone elseâs rn
Being real for a second, some people use âtopâ and âbottomâ the same way others would use âmanâ and âwomanâ and it SHOWS
rewatched howl's moving castle yesterday, had forgotten how PEAK this movie is goddamnit i love them
the virgin loss.jpg versus the chad xkcd Seven Years
Donât forget the latest version, Ten Years
@vividawayâ Randall Munroe is an internet cartoonist who runs the âxkcdâ online comic series, which has run from 2006 up to today, with new comics every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Xkcd isnât an ongoing story, just a series of funny, wholesome, depressing, or oddly scientifically informative comics.
In 2010, Randallâs fiance was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. He didnât share too many details at first, but things tended to bleed into his comics: sometimes funny, sometimes sad.
Often in this time, other cartoonists would write in guest comics for Randall, or heâd put in short filler pieces, to try and fill space while nonstop cancer treatments took up most of his time.
In 2012, he posted a comic called âTwo Yearsâ, about the time since the diagnosis. Itâs the one that hasnât yet been posted here (although parts of it are included in the other comics), and it commemorates some of the things that had happened in the two years since the diagnosis.
There are representations of Randall and his fiance being together for her treatment, worrying together, traveling the world, and getting married. Itâs still depressing, but itâs a lot more hopeful, showing how theyâve still managed to have happy moments together, and things will still get better.
Themes of cancer continued in xkcd, but they increasingly became less about fear and nihilism, and more about hope, or just cool facts related to cancer.
At the top of this post is the comic posted in 2017: Seven Years. In it, Randall and his wife are traveling more, trying to have fun and continue old and new hobbies, with cancer ever-present in the background of it all. At the end, the two of them observe the 2017 solar eclipse, and despite all the uncertainty that comes with the thought of another seven years, agree to watch the 2024 eclipse together too.
There are just about no cancer comics between that one and the most recent comic, the one I posted: Ten Years, written in 2020. Itâs by far the most hopeful of the three in the little series: the two of them are happy, theyâre playing with rabbits and riding on handcarts and going out hiking and stargazing, together. At the end, Ten Years breaks the format with a conversation in which they talk about how unbelievable it is that itâs been so long, and share their worries as well as their hopes. It even ends on a much more lighthearted joke about immortality.
Itâs a good comic. Definitely in my top two comics wherein internet cartoonists express emotions about an illness suffered by their wife.
âThe ten-year cancerversary is traditionally the Cursed Artifact Granting Immortality anniversary.â -Randall Munroe.
And now, at long last, Fifteen Years:
