Idk dudes…. this movie was weird

This movie was DEFINITELY trying to tell us something….

Idk man, there were some signs in this movie. I saw it. The community sees it. There was SOMETHING about Zuko and Toph in this movie.

Now look… I’m a hardcore Zuko x Toph shipper. Always have been. So my eyes could just be seeing what it wants to see.

HOWEVER… it was seeing ALOT.

Zuko and Toph in this movie seemed pretty close to the hip. You know the saying when two people are attracted to each other they instinctively get closer to one another? That’s what I was seeing here.

They didn’t TRY to be drawn to each other, they just gravitated towards each other without them knowing about it.

It just HAPPENED.

The way they stood by each other in this movie reminded me of a father and mother watching over their kids. Zuko and Toph in this movie acted like the responsible parents watching over their kids shenanigans.

I don’t know. That was the vibe I was getting. They looked like a mom and dad in this movie.

Not because they were being all “couple-couple”, but because of their synchronized demeanor. They hold themselves together. Both have a professional seriousness about them.

Like responsible parents

And idk, I feel like the writers were trying to tell us something. That they ARE parents. That this IS someone’s mom and dad. That Zuko and Toph do have a kid in the future.

And I was thinking if they did……WHO?!

Let’s get this out of the way, Suyin I 100% believe to be Sokka and Toph’s daughter. I don’t really ship them, but even I can’t deny the fact Suyin looks like Sokka.

And considering that Sokka and Toph actually acted like a couple in the new movie the signs are there that they DID end up together at some point in time.

So if Suyin isn’t Zuko and Toph’s daughter, then who is?

Izumi?

Now everyone says this is definitely Mai’s daughter based on looks, and I have to agree. There is a possibility Zuko and Mai got back together and had a child. But I don’t think we should rule out the possibilities that Mai isn’t the mother. For all we know this really could be Toph’s 3rd daughter.

The only reason I would suggest this could be Zuko and Toph’s daughter is Izumi from a certain angle kind of looks like Lin. The personalities aren’t too far off either………

Which brings me to……

Guys, I have the craziest theory in the world….

I think Toph lied….

I don’t think Kanto is Lin’s father…

We all know the story. Toph met a guy named Kanto, they got together for awhile, had Lin, but it didn’t work out and they split apart.

But what if it was more complex than that…

If he was just a regular joe, where is he? Why didn’t Toph make him help her raise their daughter? Why doesn’t this Kanto know Lin exists? Why did Lin grow up without a father? Toph never said he passed away. All she said was “It didn’t really work out”.

There is so much missing context it’s unbelievable. So unbelievable I don’t believe it’s real.

I think Kanto is a cover up. A made up person to hide the identity of Lin’s actual father.

If Kanto was just a regular person, Toph would’ve had no problem telling Lin more about him. But she never did. No matter how many times Lin tried to know more about her father Toph never told her. Why? Why did she go to such lengths to avoid Lin’s father? What was it about Kanto that made Toph never want to talk about him or even so much as mention him or find him for Lin’s sake?

Did he vanish? ……or was he even real?

If he wasn’t real? Then who is Lin’s father?

What if Toph was in a relationship that was “complicated”. What if she was in a relationship that would’ve drawn more attention than she wanted to have. A relationship that would’ve required sacrifices to both parties involved. A relationship where both their duties would’ve been in jeopardy if word got out that they got together.

A relationship that couldn’t work because their responsibilities put them in two separate places… A city……. and a throne.

Guys… there’s a chance Zuko is Lin’s father.

Personality wise is not too far off. Lin is strong, angry, always is dealing with family drama, always trying to impress one parent. Always got over looked by her younger sibling.

What if Zuko and Toph DID have a thing? A secret thing. They got together, they tried to make it work, but he was the Fire Lord, she was the Chief of Police, and both couldn’t give up their positions for one another and they called it off.

But……they called it off before they knew they were going to have a baby….

Toph found out she was pregnant but never told Zuko. If she did Zuko would’ve tried to raise Lin and would’ve abandoned his duties as Fire Lord, which was the reason him and Toph couldn’t be together in the first place. Plus there’s a possibility Izumi was already born and was taking up Zuko’s time as it is. Zuko couldn’t raise two daughters rule the throne. Especially if Lin lived in republic city.

And if Toph sent Lin to live with Zuko she would never see her… Toph wasn’t going to leave Republic City without its Chief of Police. But she wasn’t willing to give up her daughter either. So she kept Lin and kept it a secret from Zuko and the world.

Toph knew that if word got out that Fire Lord Zuko had a daughter that wasn’t raised in the palace with him it would look like he abandoned Toph and Lin in republic city. Which would’ve made Zuko look bad. And this was a time the Fire nation was still fixing their reputation. So bad publicity was the LAST THING Zuko needed.

So Toph lied….. she made up Kanto and kept the truth from Lin. Knowing that if Lin found out she would feel devastated that her mother lied to her and that her father raised Izumi (her half sister) but never raised her or even knew she existed.

And Toph has kept this lie all these years because knowing the truth now would destroy Lin and Zuko considering the years they spent without each other is gone.

If Zuko found out he had a daughter and wasn’t a part of her life he would feel just like his father.

I know this theory makes Toph seem irresponsible, selfish and borderline evil I know. But that would explain so much of her behavior regarding Lin’s father. Her back was against the wall and she had to make the toughest of decisions.

Maybe the secret got so bad she went to Sokka for comfort. Sokka being the ONLY one that Toph told. The only one she could talk to about the burden she was bearing carrying this lie and secret. Sokka became her safe place to land.

That’s how they got together and had Suyin.

Anyway, this was a longer post than I wanted it to be. The point I was making is the writers were hinting at Toph being together with both Zuko and Sokka. And I don’t think this was an accident. They were definitely trying to tell us something.

Especially regarding Zuko and Toph

Guys…… I don’t know how to tell you this but….

That is NOT Luxu…..

There is something very wrong here. There are just some things that are not adding up. Some inconsistencies that don’t make sense. Even for KH standards

Let’s start with Xigbar as a whole. Everything about him just doesn’t add up to Luxu.

Luxu is quiet, uncertain, compassionate, serious, and at times aloof, distant, focused, unattached, has his heads in the clouds. He carries out what his master wants him to do, and he does it almost regrettably. He doesn’t want to do it, he doesn’t enjoy doing it, he just…. DOES it…

Xigbar however… he’s playful, not serious, not a deep thinker, enjoys ANY task he’s put on, feels no regret watching the people around him suffer and even enjoys it, has ZERO compassion, is confident in everything he does and is certain about EVERYTHING.

That is a complete 180 from the actual Luxu. And people could argue “he’s just pretending”. But he’s NOT. When he was reunited with the Fortellers he STILL had that exact personality.

Now you could also argue that time and body changing has changed his personality of the countless lifetimes he’s lived. Which is a pretty accurate assumption. Terranort doesn’t exactly act like Master Xehanort. But he at least has SOME character traits that can tell Xehanort is in there. Like his intelligence and looks.

But with Luxu and Xigbar, it’s night and day. They both have ZERO traits that are similar to one another. There isn’t even the tiniest HINT to Luxu’s character inside of Xigbar.

I know he says he’s Luxu but guys, this isn’t the first time someone stole a name. We might be dealing with another Ansem/Ansem The Wise type situation.

If he’s not Luxu, then who he is? Well, theory time.

I think, this is Darkness.

Whoever this individual is they have knowledge on moments of the past. Almost like they were there. Like the conversation between Luxu and Ava. The role the Master of Masters gave Luxu. And who the lost masters are and where they would reappear.

Darkness fits this role.

Now you may ask, if Xigbar is Darkness, what happened to the real Luxu? I’ll tell you:

Brain.

Or more accurately, Data Brain.

(Yes, Data Brain. Brain and the other Union leaders had data copies of themselves made in Data Daybreak Town and were put to sleep to be used as a backup)

Luxu was inside Data Brain. How did he get there? Let me tell you:

Luxu seals Darkness into his body during their fight after Luxu sent his True Dandelion away in the lifeboat, Luxu meets Brain, Brain tells Luxu his dilemma, Luxu offers a solution, Luxu takes Brain into the data world to get Data Brains body to put his heart inside of Data Brain. Luxu passes his Keyblade to Brain so that Brain can use No Name to put his heart inside of Data Brain, abandoning his body with Darkness still inside of it. Luxu in Data Brains body leaves the data Daybreak Town with Brain. Darkness in Luxu’s body uses the last lifeboat to escape the Data world without notice. Luxu inside of Data Brain takes Brains hat and sends Brain into the future. Luxu takes the hat, The Box and No Name Keyblade to the future to give to Brain officially later.

Luxu said he passed the Keyblade to one of the 5 Union Leaders in his report. But he never said when…

Meanwhile Darkness inside of Luxu’s abandoned body switches bodies due to old age and has been body swapping all the way up to KH3 where he eventually becomes…… Xigbar.

Xigbar pretending to be Luxu to get his hands on the No Name Keyblade and the box. Which he has no idea where it is because he’s not the one who hid it, that’s why he sent Luxord to look for it.

Remember the secret reports in KH3 written by Unknown? They stated:

“And now, *Keybladeless*, I must depart this land to fulfill my final task. This means casting my own body aside and sojourning my heart in vessel after vessel—as many as it takes.”

Keybladeless?! Luxu was Keybladeless. But here when he was supposed to have been Bragi, he has…. a Keyblade. Isn’t that controversial?

And listen to this!

They have the same goal. Since when did Luxu start looking for the chosen one?! That had nothing to do with his role.

I believe Xigbar is actually Darkness who has been body swapping just as many times as Luxu has.

Speaking of which, if Xigbar is Darkness and not Luxu where is Luxu today?

Luxu would have to be somewhere close by. Close enough to keep Darkness from meddling too much but not too close to where he would have to meddle himself. Luxu is only supposed to observe. Nothing more nothing less. So he would put himself in a position where he would do most of the watching with little of the work. And who do we know who hardly ever works?

That’s right… I believe the true Luxu is:

Demyx…

Demyx is Luxu!

Think about it. Doesn’t get involved, soft spoken, aloof, is quiet and keeps to himself mainly just playing his guitar, has his heads in the clouds. He is almost EXACTLY like the original Luxu in terms of personality.

And listen to his voice! He almost sounds exactly like Luxu. That young man voice. Read the Secret reports in Xigbars voice and Demyx’s voice and you tell me which one sounds more like Luxu.

There is something about Demyx that I can’t explain. When he fought Sora that one time there was something OFF about him…

“Silence traitor”. I will never forget that chill that ran down my spine when he said that. Heck, it shook Sora a little. The way he said it, the way his eyes looked when he said it. It was just full of…. heaviness. Like a guy who has been alive way too long to be dealing with Sora’s nonsense.

Like a guy who is very… VERY tired…

Demyx is Luxu. It just makes too much sense. And why they haven’t revealed his backstory yet. Why he’s the last backstory to be revealed.

Demyx…. is…. Luxu

But anyway, your theory would explain why/how Demyx would have the ancient Keyblade legacy that Xemnas says he has. Not to mention that Luxord, Demyx, Marluxia and Larxene are all either confirmed or implied to be from the Age of Fairytales. Making Demyx’s Somebody be a random nobody would feel anticlimactic, so he has to be someone relatively important.

Though… the Master of Masters did say that Luxu would become the traitor, so I do feel like Luxu could have strayed from his original role a bit. And his personality changing after millennia of body-swapping isn’t that far-fetched.

Is it standing around while your fellow comrades tear each other apart while you do nothing? Is it aligning with Darkness? Orrr, is it helping Sora?

Demyx in KH3 was seen helping Sora and his friends defeat Xehanort, that could count as treacherous. Especially if Luxu’s role was to NOT interfere or get involved in any way shape or form.

It could be that Luxu (Demyx) wants to keep the friends he has made and side with Sora’s team.

Also, Xigbar, Demyx and Luxord being in Organisation 13 while having their own goals and memories from the Age of Fairytales could be so interesting. I mean, assuming your theory is correct:

Xigbar (Darkness) - is searching for the chosen one, while pretending to be Luxu.

Luxord (if he is Brain) - is keeping an eye on his amnesiac friends and also Xigbar because he’s suspicious of Xigbar. Since he’s met Luxu before (and is pretty smart) he might suspect that Xigbar is just an imposter.

Demyx (Luxu) - is just quietly observing Luxord and Xigbar like is expected of him and really enjoying the show (and maybe also amused at how neither of them suspects him at all).

Ooh also if Xigbar is Darkness, how do you explain Subject X’s report stating that a man with an eyepatch took her away from Radiant Garden? What would Darkness want with her?

Sora and his friends The Guardians of Light

And Darkness with his 6 other Shadow selves

Darkness could be using Subject X as an agent for his side. Perhaps Darkness has made a dandelion of his own. A “Anti-lion” to keep darkness from going extinct. Or to remain as a presence within a world full of light.

You know the saying “Light within Darkness”. There is always a little bit of light, even in the deepest darkness. Subject X could be that little bit of darkness hidden away if the world is completely taken over by light.

What happened to Scala Ad Caelum?

This one looks way more advanced and full of life compared to the one we got in KH3….

Was this one destroyed? Did it sink into the ocean under it due to its weight and they had to build smaller stacked versions of their city?

I guess I should say “Town”. They don’t even call it a city anymore. Scala Ad Caelum became an ocean of scattered towns…

Even if Scala Ad Caelum did sink or was destroyed, it still wouldn’t explain where all the other wielders and civilians are. Did something happen? Was that why Xehanort was sent away?

Kind of a big change in just a short amount of time. Xehanort was a baby when he left Scala Ad Caelum and it still looked like that old century civilization it was here. But only about 15 years had passed before Xehanort had come back to Scala Ad Caelum and it’s completely different.

Even Ephamer’s statue is gone. They wouldn’t have gotten rid of that. That was the towns center piece.

So I have to ask, what happened to this city? Was it destroyed? Did it sink……… or was it sealed? Sealed and locked away like how the Land of Departure was sealed and locked away by Aqua.

The structures on top of all these mounted buildings all kinda look like giant Keyblades piercing the hills.

Could they all represent a seal to hide one part of the land and city? And by removing all the locks the true Scala Ad Caelum will be revealed.

Is it possible the people and the real Scala Ad Caelum are hidden away by a seal? A cloak to hide its true form and to keep the civilians hidden and safe?

Darkness was definitely on Scala Ad Caelum’s doorstep. That’s why Xehanort (and me 😢) had to run and hide on Destiny Islands. Did the situation get so bad they had to lock the land away and it became the KH3’s version?

Will Mickey unseal it in KH4? Pull back the veil/curtain and reveal Scala Ad Caelum’s true form?

The one in KH3 looks more like a downgrade compared to this Scala Ad Caelum in Missing Link wouldn’t you all agree?

I never really realized just how sad this scene was until I was older.

When I was a kid I was frustrated. How could Terra do this to our boy? Why won’t she go back to being that kick butt hero we know she is? Why was she pretending to not remember?

The thing is... she’s NOT pretending.

She really doesn’t remember. Terra does have amnesia. And the thing that’s really sad about that is... she’s choosing to have amnesia.

When she awoken after being stoned. She must have forgotten everything. She must have stumbled around the city for awhile and eventually was found by someone that took her in.

During that time she was trying to remember who she was and why she was in that cavern. But when she did, something went wrong.

She felt... hurt.

Every time she tried to remember her past all she would feel is pain.

Guilt.

Beast Boy when he confronted Terra, he told her she was happy with them. And only now do I realize:

You’re wrong Beast Boy.

She wasn’t happy. Terra felt one emotion throughout her life and one emotion only.

Guilt.

Even before she met Slade she had a long history of unintentional chaos and destruction. Then the guilt of betraying the Titans. The guilt of letting Slade take over the City. And then finally... the guilt of hurting her first real friend.

“Things were never the way you remember”

“Things change Beast Boy. The girl you want me to be is just a memory”

It wasn’t an act. She really does have amnesia.

But the feelings and memories are still there and she pushes them back every chance she gets. She most likely lives through those memories in dreams. Nightmares. And she pushes those thoughts away and only looks at them as just that.

Bad dreams.

Refusing to believe they’re real. And that she’s not the person in those dreams.

She’s tricking her own mind.

That must take incredible strength... and incredible heartbreak.

Makes me want to give her a hug and let her know it’s okay to feel sad. To feel that guilt. That she doesn’t have to be ashamed of who she was. That she doesn’t have to choose to be someone else.

But... that’s not my choice to make. Nor is it Beast Boy’s.

I know it sucks. But Terra is doing what is best for her. For her sake. She’s looking after herself. Taking care of herself. Rebuilding her heart. Trying to live a normal healthy life. And she’s willing to let go of the good she had in her previous life to get it...

I know that sounds selfish, but... after everything she’s been through, can you blame her?

I think she deserves to have her second chance.

That’s what this is:

Adding more proof Xigbar is Darkness, NOT Luxu.

Vanitas! Vanitas and Xigbar almost act exactly the same! They even almost had the same dialogue in the final battle.

Vanitas: Hey guys! Feeling a little left out here!

Xigbar: Hey, let’s speed it up! Keep the line moving!

These two seem awfully close considering that up until now they have had NO SCENES together in any of the previous games or even mentioned one another in any way shape or form. That is NOT Luxu…..

There is something very wrong here. There are just some things that are not adding up. Some inconsistencies that don’t make sense. Even for KH standards

Let’s start with Xigbar as a whole. Everything about him just doesn’t add up to Luxu.

Luxu is quiet, uncertain, compassionate, serious, and at times aloof, distant, focused, unattached, has his heads in the clouds. He carries out what his master wants him to do, and he does it almost regrettably. He doesn’t want to do it, he doesn’t enjoy doing it, he just…. DOES it…

Xigbar however… he’s playful, not serious, not a deep thinker, enjoys ANY task he’s put on, feels no regret watching the people around him suffer and even enjoys it, has ZERO compassion, is confident in everything he does and is certain about EVERYTHING.

That is a complete 180 from the actual Luxu. And people could argue “he’s just pretending”. But he’s NOT. When he was reunited with the Fortellers he STILL had that exact personality.

Now you could also argue that time and body changing has changed his personality of the countless lifetimes he’s lived. Which is a pretty accurate assumption. Terranort doesn’t exactly act like Master Xehanort. But he at least has SOME character traits that can tell Xehanort is in there. Like his intelligence and looks.

But with Luxu and Xigbar, it’s night and day. They both have ZERO traits that are similar to one another. There isn’t even the tiniest HINT to Luxu’s character inside of Xigbar.

I know he says he’s Luxu but guys, this isn’t the first time someone stole a name. We might be dealing with another Ansem/Ansem The Wise type situation.

If he’s not Luxu, then who he is? Well, theory time.

I think, this is Darkness.

Whoever this individual is they have knowledge on moments of the past. Almost like they were there. Like the conversation between Luxu and Ava. The role the Master of Masters gave Luxu. And who the lost masters are and where they would reappear.

Darkness fits this role.

Now you may ask, if Xigbar is Darkness, what happened to the real Luxu? I’ll tell you:

Brain.

Or more accurately, Data Brain.

(Yes, Data Brain. Brain and the other Union leaders had data copies of themselves made in Data Daybreak Town and were put to sleep to be used as a backup)

Luxu was inside Data Brain. How did he get there? Let me tell you:

Luxu seals Darkness into his body during their fight after Luxu sent his True Dandelion away in the lifeboat, Luxu meets Brain, Brain tells Luxu his dilemma, Luxu offers a solution, Luxu takes Brain into the data world to get Data Brains body to put his heart inside of Data Brain. Luxu passes his Keyblade to Brain so that Brain can use No Name to put his heart inside of Data Brain, abandoning his body with Darkness still inside of it. Luxu in Data Brains body leaves the data Daybreak Town with Brain. Darkness in Luxu’s body uses the last lifeboat to escape the Data world without notice. Luxu inside of Data Brain takes Brains hat and sends Brain into the future. Luxu takes the hat, The Box and No Name Keyblade to the future to give to Brain officially later.

Luxu said he passed the Keyblade to one of the 5 Union Leaders in his report. But he never said when…

Meanwhile Darkness inside of Luxu’s abandoned body switches bodies due to old age and has been body swapping all the way up to KH3 where he eventually becomes…… Xigbar.

Xigbar pretending to be Luxu to get his hands on the No Name Keyblade and the box. Which he has no idea where it is because he’s not the one who hid it, that’s why he sent Luxord to look for it.

Remember the secret reports in KH3 written by Unknown? They stated:

“And now, *Keybladeless*, I must depart this land to fulfill my final task. This means casting my own body aside and sojourning my heart in vessel after vessel—as many as it takes.”

Keybladeless?! Luxu was Keybladeless. But here when he was supposed to have been Bragi, he has…. a Keyblade. Isn’t that controversial?

They have the same goal. Since when did Luxu start looking for the chosen one?! That had nothing to do with his role.

I believe Xigbar is actually Darkness who has been body swapping just as many times as Luxu has.

Speaking of which, if Xigbar is Darkness and not Luxu where is Luxu today?

Luxu would have to be somewhere close by. Close enough to keep Darkness from meddling too much but not too close to where he would have to meddle himself. Luxu is only supposed to observe. Nothing more nothing less. So he would put himself in a position where he would do most of the watching with little of the work. And who do we know who hardly ever works?

Think about it. Doesn’t get involved, soft spoken, aloof, is quiet and keeps to himself mainly just playing his guitar, has his heads in the clouds. He is almost EXACTLY like the original Luxu in terms of personality.

And listen to his voice! He almost sounds exactly like Luxu. That young man voice. Read the Secret reports in Xigbars voice and Demyx’s voice and you tell me which one sounds more like Luxu.

There is something about Demyx that I can’t explain. When he fought Sora that one time there was something OFF about him…

“Silence traitor”. I will never forget that chill that ran down my spine when he said that. Heck, it shook Sora a little. The way he said it, the way his eyes looked when he said it. It was just full of…. heaviness. Like a guy who has been alive way too long to be dealing with Sora’s nonsense.

Demyx is Luxu. It just makes too much sense. And why they haven’t revealed his backstory yet. Why he’s the last backstory to be revealed.

We've yet to see anything connecting Luxu to Ventus in a way that would cause him to glare at him like he drowned his goldfish. Darkness, on the other hand, has quite a past involving Ven that could cause Xion to appear as him to Zigbar.

(Not sure where Vanitas falls into this. If they're the same Darkness it could be like the scene with time traveling Xehanort talking to himself with only one of his selves knowing their connection. Is Braig being possessed by time traveling future Vanitas? Or maybe Dark Chirithy with the "kiddo" thing...)

Xigbar THINKS he’s certain about everything but in reality is unprepared and gets caught off guard. He overlooks people like Luxord, Axel, or at times Sora despite being so sure how everyone acts. Just like Darkness was certain that all the Keyblade masters were gone but was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Luxu

Luxu is by nature uncertain when he doesn’t have a full grasp or understanding of a situation or plan, like the Master of Masters plan. He questions everything and wonders if this is the best course of action. But when he does come to terms with a plan and starts understanding, he moves in perfect steps without error. He has a high level of awareness and acceptance. Probably why the Master of Masters picked him for his role.

sorry to see people insulting you over a fan theory! I agree that there's potential for a plot twist stating Xigbar is actually the Darkness Luxu fought - however, I don't think it's fair to say Luxu and Xigbar don't share character traits (this is long, I'm sorry).

For one thing, Luxu is also playful and sarcastic in khux, not just in the way he spins and plays with his keyblade, but he's also making snarky or playful comments towards Ava, Darkness or even the MoM. He is also presented as arrogant and overconfident to the point of hubris, acting like the MoM's instructions to "look but not touch" don't actually apply to him, going against the plan, taunting Ava and insulting Darkness. This is likely because he knows he's going to succeed anyways - as the MoM tells him - he has reason to be confident, and that confidence makes him foolishly misinterpret the MoM's instructions. And not to mention the MoM explicitly tells Luxu to let go of his moral concerns and become more practical and goal-oriented - watching people suffer and not intervening is his role, after all. There's also a comment by Nomura somewhere stating Luxu is meant to read as the same kind of person as the MoM, just younger and less experienced, which implies he'd grow into that sort of personality eventually - and ofc the MoM's and Xigbar's personality and mannerisms are similar enough that before KH3 people thought they're the same character.

As for Xigbar, have you played 358/2 Days? The game does a lot for the Org-members' characterizations and he's no exception. Especially his secret reports in that game make it clear that he was always meant to have another, more morally complex side to his personality. His reports are contemplative, thoughtful and almost philosophical. He wistfully contemplates the deep connections between the worlds, wonders how others may see Xion and what it says about their hearts, talks about being unable to escape his actions as a human in a regretful tone, and suspects that Kingdom Hearts is rejecting Xehanort in a way that makes it sound like he knows more about the nature of KH than Xehanort does. 358/2 also repeatedly points out how he's trying to guide and train Roxas in a way that is different to the other Org members, something he seems to be doing with Sora as well throughout multiple games. And then there's the scene in 358/2 where he instinctually saves Roxas' life and the implication that he knows about Naminé's location and DiZ/Ansem's plan to save Sora and keeps this information from the Org. Xion also defeats him way too easily when he's meant to take her in after she fled the Org, which makes it seem like he intentionally threw the fight. He also doesn't just happily go along with any plan, he complains to Xemnas' and Xehanort's face multiple times, is explicitly shown to be spying on both of them and withholds information. All of those traits would align with the Luxu we know from khux, especially if we assume he grew more into his already present sarcastic and arrogant personality while also taking the MoM's advice to ignore his moral qualms (though ofc 358/2 Xigbar still seems regretful).

That said I'm not saying it's out of the question that Xigbar isn't Luxu and is actually the Darkness he fought. It's absolutely still a possible twist, as is him being a merge of Luxu and the Darkness. (Although in the first case there's the problem of the implication that a part of Xigbar both cares and regrets his actions on some level, and the question of who the real Luxu is, as it would have to be someone who also has a space affinity like Xigbar, since we see Luxu use space magic to teleport in khux). Anyways uhhhh sorry for the super long ask lol I hope this wasn't too much

No no, it’s okay. I understand people being upset about this post. It not only messes up a lot of head canons people have for Demyx, but it also contradicts everything we’ve seen or read of Xigbar thus far that he is Luxu. And please don’t be sorry about the long post. I actually really appreciate it. I’ve been looking for people to discuss this with. I NEED counterpoints because I can’t believe it myself. I want to dot all my “i’s” and make sure I’m not missing anything, because everything I’ve researched has added up to Xigbar being Darkness. And the similarities to Luxu do match up with Demyx.

And yes! Luxu does have a quirky and playful side to him, but not to Xigbar’s extent. Luxu just doesn’t care, that’s how he takes up the Master of Masters advice of “ignoring his morals”, he just shuts them down. Shuts them off and becomes unfeeling. But Xigbar, he’s just evil. He has joy toying with people’s lives. Luxu was never like that. He never enjoyed people’s misery. Luxu was ordered to let suffering take place, not cause it himself like Xigbar. And he DEFINITELY wouldn’t be enjoying it

Also Luxu not overconfident, he’s just smart. His calm cool demeanor helps him just see the solutions to problems and decode what the Master of Masters sees for him. He was his closest apprentice, Luxu probably knows more about him than anyone. Luxu is a Master.

If Nomura said Luxu was supposed to be like a younger version of the Master of Masters that just supports my Luxu is Demyx theory even more. Because the fandom has said countless times they think Demyx is a younger version of the Master of Masters or IS the Master of Masters himself.

Xigbar however doesn’t act like a Master at all. He messes up. He gets emotional. He gets caught off guard. He makes mistakes. When has Luxu or the Master of Masters at any point of time been seen to make a mistake? Xigbar doesn’t come close to acting like them. Demyx acts like them

The Master of Masters and Luxu act certain with a hint of acceptance. They know what’s about to transpire and know there’s nothing they can do about it. They don’t have any emotions towards events yet to come, just knowing it’s for the great or good. Xigbar is not someone who accepts anything easily. He doesn’t act like them at all.

But Xigbar does act like Darkness tho. People are overlooking Darkness’s personality. Darkness is also thoughtful, wistful, contemplatives connections, short tempered and emotional. Spies and always withholds information. Is looking for the chosen one. That’s why he’s so obsessed with Sora/Roxas/ and Ventus. Those are the chosen ones he’s been waiting for. Searching for. The angry look. It’s a sign of the darkness inside all 3 of them. The darkness he searches for to expand himself.

And yes, Xigbar complains, ALOT. Luxu never did that. He was only ever seen pleading with his master if there could be another way to fulfill the plan because he was sympathetic to his friends the other Fortellers. Xigbar showed no such compassion for the other organization members.

Compare Vanitas and Xigbar. Vanitas is pure Darkness. Is a version of Darkness. Him and Xigbar act exactly alike. Xigbar is basically an older version of Vanitas. Same attitude, same playful enjoyment of people’s torment, sneaky, sarcastic. They’re basically the same character. Only difference is Xigbar is wiser. Only because Xigbar/Darkness has been living longer than Vanitas/Darkness. Vanitas/Darkness has been reformed thanks to Xehanort and Ventus, Xigbar/Darkness has been roaming for eons.

Xigbar is definitely an old soul. But just because someone says they’re someone with a certain name doesn’t mean that’s who they are. This is exactly what happened with Ansem. Everyone said he was the Ansem the Wise from the reports because he was smart and a scientist from Radiant Garden, but it wasn’t even CLOSE to being the true Ansem. …My mom was diagnosed with cancer when Yashahime was first announced to be coming out.

This show came at such a good time, because I really was going through the worst moment of my entire life.

I mean WOW… I thought Inuyasha was done. The end. Finished. But then suddenly I get this announcement saying that not only is it returning but it’s featuring Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s kids

Sesshomaru’s KIDS?! Are you kidding me! Then I find out their half demons which could only mean Sessrin is canon

So I get the revival of my first anime, and one of my favorite ships just got announced canon.

I needed that dude, I needed it all of that at that time.

This series has been my crutch for these last 5 years during my mom’s passing, and I cannot thank it enough for everything it has done for me personally.

I’m going to miss it… everyday. But I won’t ever stop being grateful it existed
